BRUTAL BRICK POWERHOUSE BMW K1100 Cafe Racer By Powerbrick
Today we’ll be taking a look at how Powerbrick builder, Tim Somers took an old 90’s BMW K1100 RS and turned into something rare and radical. We’ve honestly never seen a bike like this one. The staggering number of one-off parts used in this transformation is simply awe-inspiring. So Racers, start your flying-brick engines and let’s get to know this Power-crazed Café Racer.
No motorcycle encapsulates the vibe of 90s BMW sport tourers quite like the BMW K1100RS. It had everything-three-spoke wheels, triangular bodywork, and a stonking inline-four block orientated horizontally in the frame.
Powerbrick’s star is sharply on the rise. Founder Tim Somers has wowed with every K-series café racer he’s released, refining his signature aesthetic each time. Powerbrick’s Ks are razor sharp and ooze performance from every pore.

The issue with your steering becomes obvious if you notice how narrow is the outer shell over the front wheel. Would that make any control/handling issues if the front wheel steers too much and rubs against the shell?

These things are so badass. I’m not a huge Harley fan, but sportsters make amazing cafes when done right.

The peak on the top of the headlight cowl sure looks like death by impalement , dangerous & poor design, the rest is awesome.
It’s a death trap - but we have to cut the designer some slack - it was made to be sitting in a motor museum in Texas. 😜

Oh yeah!
Interesting from a design aspect, though quite impractical from an ergonomic aspect. If you're really going for aerodynamics, the legs and hands should have fairings, too, and enclosing the front wheel/suspension a losing the turning radius is, well, I'll let you decide. Hate the low handlebars. And having a tool or wine bottle fall into the rear wheel from a bump in the road would not be ideal, to say the least. From a highly respected road cruiser to a trailer queen, hmmmm.....
