Thank you very much for this video! As a bodyshop tech, I have been trying to find a noise in a '22 model. One where the interior was partially disassembled for repairs. After assembling everything after repairs, I heard this same noise on a road test. Ended up tearing this thing back apart chasing this noise for hours with no luck thinking it was something I may have missed. Turns out I had the same issue. Never thought to look under the car because nothing was touched by me down there. I wished i'd watched that video before I had to go through all that nonsense, but this video saved me MUCH more time! Thank you very much!

I’m going to try this. I have a 2021 xlt and wind noise from the right back side. I checked and the same nut was missing. Interesting. Thank you for this I’ve been searching all over for a solution.

Yeah how did an alligator clip fix this, not sure how an alligator clip becomes a nut? One pic it’s a hole and one pic it’s a fastened washer and bolt, the mysterious alligator clip??

Guess what! I showed the dealership my video with the obvious sound just like on this. I explained what I thought it was based on this TH-cam video. They replaced the undercover and no more noise. Amazing. If you read your comments, there is a sync that causes the monitor to go blank. Mine also would get stuck on the reverse screen even driving down the road. The dealership had my vehicle 4 days working on the sync and the noise. Today, I received a letter stating there is a sync issue and to take it to the dealership. My explorer is 2023.

I have 2023 explorer. Mine makes the same noise behind the driver side. I will show the service dept this video so they can fix it.

I just bought a brand new Ford Explorer ST and windshield has a whirling sound coming from the top right. It’s in the shop now. Plus the back passenger door sounds like the window is down slightly. Crazy because it’s a BRAND NEW car. Apparently Ford doesn’t have quality control for road/wind noise. I have a Db tracker and it’s 5-6db louder than the brand new base model ford edge they gave me as a rental is. 65mph edge is around 58-60db. Explorer is 65-66

Thank. I briefly went under my 2020 ST and saw how flimsy the felt panels are. I haven't had a chance to get under it again yet, but I appreciate your validation that this may be my problem also. It certainly makes a performance suv feel cheap.

Thank you for the great video. I have a new 23 ST. I hear wind noise when going more than 70 mph, this wind howling noise feels like it's coming from the rear seats. Another annoying noise, is a ratlle noise as if it's' coming from the driver's window and mirror... are these the same noises you had??

New bronco's are to quiet, I like the noise of my 73.

We had a giant black rabbit that would bite scratch kick and hiss. We called it Midnight the killer bunny. It was tge meanest rabbit i ever knew.
