Lovely Review

What is the font size?

It’s southern Baptist theology lol What must I do to empty myself for God to fill me. Not exactly what the Gospel teaches.

I know about some of the heresies of Finis Dake but I still own this Bible and bring it out to read and peruse now and then. His theology and doctrine is very unusual on some points, but I can overlook that because I like the way he writes and words his notes. Plus there’s the cyclopedia index and charts n extra stuff in the back. It must have taken him forever to compile all this information. Just love it! If you aren’t scared to chew the meat and spit out the bones like someone commented, and you are solid enough in your own faith and theology, the heresies in this book shouldn’t scare you. Now if you’re a baby in the Lord, peruse this Bible but don’t let it be your sole source for doctrine. Personally I find his oddball views refreshing-keeps me on my toes! Enjoy this one and thanks for the lovely review.

I love this bible. The cover is absolutely lovely. I love all the drawings inside as I enjoy coloring and contemplating the scripture. I use Crayola coloring pencils and they work just fine.

Not a religious guy, never read the bible, but I'm taking a bible class for college and I need pictures and maps to help me comprehend the enormity of the bible--look forward to getting mine this Sunday! On a side note, Halloween is my favorite holiday, so I like the color scheme, but yes, to each their own. Thank you for this video.

I absolutely love mine!! It has enhanced my study. I use it,my rc Sproul reformation study Bible and my John MacAuther study Bible and between the three I have all i need😊

I’m pretty late but this Bible looks awesome! Getting it in 2 weeks for my birthday.

It's the devil's adaptation, hence the colours, the people behind it hope you don't notice

My church uses NKJV and I’ve tried to use the Thomas Nelson Study Bible, but it doesn’t compare to this one. I’ve tried switching multiple times and always revert back to this ESV study Bible along with the best Bible app I’ve used yet. The ESV app allows you to bring up the study Bible notes in a split page form. It’s hard sometimes having old sermons C-2000 from Chuck Smith using the KJV and my church using NKJV and sometimes referencing NIV but above all the ESV has been the best for my understanding.

Being endorsed by those heretics (Hinn, Meyers, etc) should be a warning. Dake was also an arch-heretic, such as teaching God is composed of 9 individuals. There are much better study bibles out there. Being wordy does not make you Godly.

It seems a bit larger than the personal size bible I am looking for.

Is there a KJV version of the same thing

If you cannot find the word "sup" then the NKJV has eat Rev 3:20. The NKJV is a literal word for word translation of the KJV. Sup means eat. Then you can also look up eat in the Holman dictionary if you want to. However a concordance would be great to use with this. :)

You have no complaints you have a kjv issue

Unless you are doctrinally sound in your theology and know what the Bible teaches about salvation, Jews, Eschatology, Eternal Security, etc you will have difficulty with the commentary portion of this Bible, a lot of heresy concerning salvation, keeping saved, who a portion of scripture was written to and if you want to know how to wrongly divide the word of God then you have it here, , why would you want a study Bible that dosent line up with correct doctrine? If your Pentecostal/ Charismatic you will agree with most of his commentary but he says we are not completely saved until the end when we die if we make it to the end of our lives and also he gives a list of requirements for the rapture and much more that Christians have to do to remain saved till the end, let alone what he believes about the Trinity is mind blowing- stay away from this u less you can overlook the heresies and use the rest of the info , the charts in the back are good

I ordered mine yesterday from Amazon and I had one years ago when it was published by Kirkbride. The hand made drawings is what I like about it most

This Bible seems really great, but the only complaint from me is, it is not a red letter Bible. Other than that this seems great! The Jeremiah study Bible and CSB Bible are also some other great options. Thanks for the detailed review!

I am surprised by the condition of your Bible. You definitely should have returned it. Crossway has incredible customer service. Thkfully, I received a good copy with a minor scuff on the gilding. It's an amazing textblock. The paper is very nice. It takes ink very well & the line-matching means very little ghosting. The margins are also excellent. I'm glad that you also pointed out the positive. Great review & maybe you'll consider getting a backup copy that will hopefully come in better condition.

And also the RVR1960/KJV (Spanish & English) for reading in Spanish. Thank you! I was wondering if it was in English also. So I TH-cam it and there it is. May be my next gift. It has that gap in between the leather and the binding so it sits flat.

This is a great Bible dictionary. I also have the Zondervan and the Nelson ones, which are very good also. Those three together make the perfect trio of Bible dictionaries!

Was wondering if there is anyway if you still have this BIBLE could you take a Picture of the ISBN # page near the front of the BIBLE. and send it to me? My BIBLE was similar to this one, unfortunately I lost it when I put it down on top of my buddy’s van before we drove off from Church. Thank you for posting this video.

I recently purchased the Halley’s Study Bible in the NIV translation in brown leather soft, & I LOVE it so much. It’s chock full of information and it’s in full color throughout. Great and helpful Review! I have this same Study Bible in hardcover like the one you are showing. I really like the cover. I would get the leather version but it is heavy enough as it is.

Just started using one. It's ESV from Zondervan in good quality imitation brown leather - often imitation leather now seems much better than bonded or some genuine leathers. Such a resource! It's like being a microbiologist getting a microscope for the first time (bad analogy, I guess) but this opens up God's "living and active" word in an entirely new way to me. Thanks for this reveiew!
