Is this just a dressed up 650 Interceptor??
มุมมอง 1Kวันที่ผ่านมา
This video is on my first ride on the new 650 Interceptor Bear. This is not an in-depth review on the bike but rather just my first ride impression of the new bike and to give my views on this bike and how it might compare to the 650 Interceptor & GT. Later in the year I will be doing a Head2Head with the 650 Bear and the 650 Interceptor to give a better H2H view of just how different or simila...
411 Himalayan - The End
มุมมอง 1K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
This video is about The End of a Era and a very Happy relationship between myself and my trust little 411 Himalayan. I found myself being drawn into a "Now or never" situation, where if I didn't buy a new bike now, because of my Parkinson's, I would have to keep Jimi until the end of my riding career. So after a long mental battle, I decided to take the leap and to buy my last new bike. Then I ...

Market Disruptors
มุมมอง 3232 หลายเดือนก่อน
This video is about the current state of the Motorcycle Industry in the UK and abroad and in my opinion what the primary causes are that has lead to this decline in Motorcycle Sales, causing Dealerships to go into receivership and for Motorcycle manufacturers to find them selves in a very tough position. 450 Himalayan V Guerrilla
มุมมอง 4.4K3 หลายเดือนก่อน
This video is an assessment of the New Royal Enfield 450 Himalayan versus the New 450 Guerrilla. My mate Paul and I rode these bikes back-to-back to be able to get a feel of the 2 bikes, one being a true Naked Road bike and the other being more of an Adventure Style bike, both on similar frames with the same New 450, single cylinder, Water Cooled, 40BHP Sherpa engine. Paul was looking to acquir...

Touring Screen Review - Do They Work?
มุมมอง 4956 หลายเดือนก่อน
This video is a short review on the Aftermarket Touring Screen that I bought for Jimi. The video does a review with the New Touring Screen at various speeds to see how this effects the wind blast over the screen and onto my body and into my helmet and then I do at test with the Stock Himalayan screen at various speeds to asses the difference. Preventing wind blast is important for 2 reasons. Fi...
Poole Bike Night 2024

This video is a short video of Me & Jimi visiting the Poole Bike Night earlier in the year. The Poole Bike Nights starts from the 16th April until the end of August. The Quay is closed off to other traffic and the gates for Bikes opens at 5.30pm. It costs £3 to get onto the Quay with your Bike and it is a very relaxed, night well marshalled event with a Bike of the Night competition, live music...

A bunch of us from the Hatfield Royal Enfield Riders Club joined the day, starting out from The White Heart in Pirbright towards the Guildford & Sussex event. 452 Himalayan Test Ride
มุมมอง 4.5K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
This video is with thanks to the guys at Hatfields of Crowthorne who are my local Royal Enfield Dealer for letting me take out the new 452 Himalayan for a Test Ride to give you my views on the bike. The question was "Is This Bike My Next Bike". After watching this video I'm sure that you can see just how much I appreciated the bike and the new "Sherpa" engine putting out a very impressive 42BHP...
Thanks for your comment John. Yes it does look amazing although only available in limited supply in the UK 😊
I love the Yellow one
Thanks for your comment Brett. I agree but it is an improvement on the Interceptor 😊
My issue with the bear is that the foot brake is so close to the engine casing …but much more comfortable than super meteor
Thanks for your comment John. I agree. I'm looking forward to test riding the 650 Classic 👌
I absolutely love these bears… I rode the 249 for nearly 2 hours on Saturday morning in North Wales…. Such a brilliant planted bike…..
Thanks for your comment Brett. I will have to take your your word for it because 😢 i haven't ridden the Super Meteor. All I can safely say is that the 650 Bear is really comfortable 👌
The polish is somewhat better for RE…suspension is better compared to the Super Meteor cause it’s horrible. The foot brake so close to the engine is terrible and super uncomfortable to find
What's up with the poodle ball on your face?
Thanks for your comment Kevin. 😃
Thanks for your comment. Yes as I suggested in the video. Some will like the new TFT screen and others won't.
Thanks for your comment Richard and for your kind words of encouragement 👍
Great video and really well summed up. One thing people forget is that Royal Enfield re entered the UK market in a big way with the introduction of the Bullet and Classic 500's back in 2010 and slightly later with the original 535cc Continental GT. All of these used the newly developed UCE engine. I own one of the final Battle Green 500's and the fit and finish of this bike is every bit as good as the new 350's and Himalayan 411 (which I also own, the 411 that is).
Great bikes but I would prefer dual analog clocks.
Thanks for your comment Stanley. I honestly didn't feel that the bike was top heavy at all filtering through traffic or maneuvering around.
Do like them Where the weight of bike is it top heavy like the interceptor be nice if it was lower down
Thanks for your comment. I didn't find the weight of the bike too top heavy at all. I think that the designers have spent a lot of time on the geometry of the bike and it rides and handles very well.
Thanks for your comment. I rode for around an hour and found both the seat and the new shocks more comfortable, as well as the riding geometry.
Nice ride! How did you find the riding position? Was it comfortable on the long run compared to the Interceptor?
Thanks for your comment. The ride is much more refined than the Interceptor because it had upgraded suspension and a more comfortable seat.
Hi Chris, thanks for your kind words of encouragement. I'm pleased that enjoyed the video. I am desperately trying to record my "Welcome to my new bike " video 😉😀
Hi Noel, hope all is well. I'm glad you have bought a 450, I love mine to bits! The Benelli is gone.....and tomorrow a Bear is arriving! Really looking forward to it. Keeep up the channel, Regards, Chris.,
Thanks for the comment again John and you kind words of encouragement.
Nice day for a ride on the RE nice review thanks and ride safe
Thanks again for your comment. I was lucky with a break in the weather and to have the opportunity to ride such a great bike.
Thanks for your comment Arthur. Point taken about the background 😊
Minor criticism, if you do a video of the 2025 event, please please please lose that awful few bars of repetitous music. You commentary and the exhaust notes are all the sound it needs.
Noel, great video, thoroughly enjoyed it. By the way, we have worked together, Graham Butcher, we worked together at Flex Connectors, and I also worked at Ashley & Rock and Hager, so it's a small world. I'm now a subscriber to your channel, well done mate. The time you were speaking of with the Chinese influx of electrical wiring accessories into the UK, I think I was working at Crabtree Electrical and lost some market share to them and I think the make that suffered the most might have been MK.
Hi Graham, Yes of course I remember you. We were the 2 that were wrongfully laid off from Flex. Thanks for your comment and for subscribing to my channel. I hope that you are keeping well Sir. Great to hear from you. Ring that bell so that you are kept up to date with my latest videos.
@@meandjimi2 Noel, you are correct sir, it was indeed us, and don't fear my man, that bell is well rung, lol.
Thanks for your comment 👍

Thanks for your comment Quintin. Yes I am really looking forward to getting out on Jimi2 as soon as the better weather arrives. Watch out for my videos 😊
Congratulations on acquiring a new Himalayan 450! They look to be great bikes with all the appeal of a versatile, simple, yet capable machine......Roll on the Spring! Cheers.
Thanks for your comment. Yes indeed, roll on the sunshine
Thank you and thanks for your comment 😊
Congratulations !!! atb
Thanks for your comment Michael.
Thanks for your comment. I'm looking forward to seeing how i get on with Jimi2 on all types of roads, camping etc. My next video should also be interesting to you. 😊
I am looking at these when its time to sell the interceptor, will keep watching to see how you get on with Jimi 2 and uses on major roads and motorways
Thanks for your comment. I'm looking forward to getting out there and If you watch my video's you'll see how we get on with motorway speeds
Thanks for your comment Syd. I'm really looking forward to getting out when the weather improves 😊
Thanks for your comment Martin. I agree it is, should we say compact. I'm 6' and although I probably fitted better than you guys, I found it to have too much of an aggressive stance for me. Check out my latest video 😊
Brilliant great new bike
@@stalbansbiker thanks John.
Welcome to Jimi2
Well done on the purchase
Thanks for your comment.
Hi, only recently come across your channel - interesting content. As a 411 Himalayan owner/rider I tried the 450 Himalayan a few months ago, but finally made the acquaintance of the Guerrilla a couple of days ago. Great little bike as you say, but at 6' 3", it's just too small for me. My son's also 6" 3", and he found it the same. Food for thought. Nice video anyway.
I see you have put the touring screen back on . Have you changed your mind about it's performance or is it just for looks ? atb.
Thanks for your comment. Yes indeed. I was just trying it out again 😊
Отличный обзор, благодарю!
Thanks for your comment. 👍
I will never get rid of my 411, but I did find myself at the rear of the pack on the highway portion of a multi-day camping tour of Eastern oregon. If I get another bike for that type of riding, it would probably be the Bear 650. It has the additional power and just looks so much better. I fell in love with the Himalayan for its utility, not its looks. For touring, I think the Bear will do fine when I run out of pavement. I will save my Himalayan for the dirt roads and logging trails.
Thanks for your comment Donavan. You are right about the 411. I don't think that there is anything quite like it for it's Utilitarian qualities.
Greetings from Nova Scotia. Maybe I need to consider my Harris Tweed as opposed to buying some Klim…
Thanks for your comment.
Thanks for your comment.
Nice! I really enjoy mine.
Thanks for your reply
Eine schöne Maschine 👍
Thanks for your comment 👍
no music please
Thanks for your reply. Sorry about the music. I'll only add at the end of my next video.
time to start riding now, you ve done a bit too much. gotta do around 50k miles to make it worth your while
Thanks for your comment 😊
Great video. That screen looks particularly interesting. Do you feel it's an improvement over the OEM screen? As a tall rider (6'5") I find the standard one ok but I'm always looking for an improvement. Oh, and I've subscribed too 😎
Just noticed; you have a video about the screen so I'll be checking that out 👍
Yes. I hope that you enjoyed it. Screens a re so subjective. 😊
A very enjoyable watch. Thanks.
