All of Norway is beautiful; it would take a lifetime and you would not see all of it. I live in California, and it too has beautiful landscapes and a long coastline, but what sets Norway apart is the hospitable Norwegian peoples. I will be visiting for my third time this September and October for the colors of Troms og Finland. Thanks for sharing this extraordinary trip and the fitting musical.

Thanks for sharing this video! Great to see the drive even through the snowy conditions! I drove this road in August 1976 from north to south as I was working as a nurse in Tromso and was driving south to visit friends and family!

Which month and date was this drive? We are planning to travel 2nd half of January 2025

Nice drive. Done this a few times. Not a whole lot of traffic on this road usually. Couple of things I'm not sure was mentioned. The road is fairly new and opened in 1974 due to extensive hydro power construction in the mountains. There are 5 power stations inside the mountains totaling almost 1300MW installed capacity. Entrance gate to the largest of the 5 stations is @1:06:06 on the right ;)

I must take back my earlier claim the best soundtrack is from the environment. It isn't true when the author knows about the most creative music and matches it to the scenery.

Beautiful Ride! Very soothing. I just came back from a trip in October. I went to Lofoten, Tromso and Bergen. Norway is a beautiful country. I guess I need to go back during summer or spring time and spend time in some small towns.
