Would u recommend those same jets for 883?
If you love this bike so much... then have your dealership install the Stage 3 upgrade to make this a 116 cubic inch... and install a Barnett clutch with the extra plates and heavy-duty springs. Also, install the Barnett clutch lever that is shorter and makes for smoother shifting. My two cents.

Got a similar cv carb for my xt225 a while ago. Been having hell getting it right. Seems to start decent but slowly dies as it heats up. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have some horror stories about Indian. Had a 2016 Scout. They DO NOT MAKE ALL THE PARTS ANYMORE! The oil cooler ring broke and you cannot get it anymore. Dealer wanted to total the bike. Insane. Bike was not even 10 years old and they just stop making parts, and there are no after market options. Like an idiot I traded it for a Challenger. At 9k miles the left front frame mount cracked, they refused warranty. The Ride Command system is terrible. I am going to buy a Harley to replace the Challenger.
Those bottom screws are JIS, not Phillips. That is why so many people strip them out. :) I agree with you, I love me some carbs. They are very simple and easy to work on.

I been having a problem with mine i did a single cv carb swap on my 87 yamaha virago 535 my bike runs but the vacuum slide does not come up and it dies when i give it full throttle any help would be awesome

you dont need to take the cover off. i just cut mine down with cut off wheel while still on the engine .worked great
So you can remove the cam cover and reinstall it without relieving the tension on the pushrods?
Yes. You need to rotate the engine to relieve pressure on the cam lobes

Possibly. I just rolled the engine until I could feel the cover wiggle.
I broke one on my buddys bike. Felt like it was coming out just fine. No problem. Then it let go with not much effort. It will happen to you. Use heat on this bolt and be careful of all M8 hardware. It's all over loctited. Including rocker box hardware. Broke one in there too.
Both of my $40 clone S&S super E carbs work just fine. They are so exact, i believe that these are made from the same parts that wind up on the assembly line in Wisconsin.
It doesn't have anything to do when you peaked, it has to do with buying communist china parts. Perhaps your peak came in grade school?

I don't understand wanting to buy a new bike of any brand, with the plan to modify it a lot. Why not buy an older Harley or other bike to modify where there are OEM and other bolt-on parts to individualize your "cool" bike. It seems that many bikers have goals involving loud pipes, self-image, and "upmanship" and video makers click-bait goals.
I think this one of the best cheap mods to do to a Sporty. Only thing I'd do is weld in some plate to round off the corners like the top of the cover, Good Job!
Bought one based on this video for a 91 FLH Police bike. In my case I got junk. Accel pump barely worked no matter what I did. Ended up making a good one from it and the original I replaced.
Heck ya man, LRST is a dope bike n many mods you can add. Congratulations bro. I want to buy Indian chieftain but having to add taller looking apes do not add to my interest and coming from dyna to m8 softail low rider s with moto bar n T bar, the chieftain can not accept any tbar. Bummer but oh well... life goes on.
Went from 21 street glide special to a 24 pursuit. I actually like having less options. Seems less stressful when researching companies, I believe 90% of people just want a good bike to ride, they are not spending 1000’s on aftermarket parts.

thanks for posting, the membranes are hard, and carbs are way too small on my vt1100c 1987. going to try cheap carburetors myself. foam rubber airfilter and cold as in freezing point, the bike did run like H. the 600cd have just a little smaller carbs :D dont know if original

Just look up the proper jet sizes for your displacement. I usually find the factory size and go up 1

Thanks for the video man, I'm rebuilding my CV carb on my 91 xlh 1200. The ONLY difference i've noticed with my carb vs the 92 and up are the floats and emulsion tubes on the older style are a bit different. I got the replacement emulsion tube because the jets from the jet kit wont fit my 91 emulsion tube. The float replacement doesnt fit my carb which was a bummer, i'll have to find where to get the replacement for that.
