Town Hall Concert - 1947 My kinda love, your kinda love Keeps me believing, although you're deceiving My kinda love, one way to paradise My kinda lips, your kinda lips When love comes stealing, encourage that feeling My kinda love, one way to paradise Although you're happy today You may be gone tomorrow Love comes but once, don't be a dunce When you need it, beg, steal or borrow I'm front of yo...
Strange fruit (Billie Holiday)
มุมมอง 43612 ปีที่แล้ว
Thank you very much ladies and gentlemen, and now I'd like to sing a tune it's written specially for me. It's title "Strange fruit". Southern trees bear strange fruit, Blood on the leaves and blood at the root Black bodies swinging in the southern breeze Strange fruit hanging from the popular trees Pastoral scene of the gallant south The bulging eyes and the twisted mouth Scent of magnolias, sw...
Everything I have is yours (Sarah Vaughan)

Barry Ulanov and his all star metronome jazzmen. New York City (1947) Every once in a while a very great singer comes up, and I know the adjective great has been much abused in Jazz, but I don't think this is an instance of it. When you hear Sarah Vaughan sing "Everything I have is yours" with the rhythm section Lennie Tristano, Billy Bauer, Tommy Potter and Buddy Rich behind her, I think you'l...

what a legend! She inspired Aretha, Chaka, and Vesta!
Rip Roy Haynes❤
When I hear Sarah Vaughan sing nothing else matters, my weary mind is rested.
God save the Queen Ella.
The one and only Sarah Vaughn! ❤
Unico indimenticabile.
My mother named me after this song

Nice
Beautifully smooth.
C est excellent 🎉🎉🎉
Simplesmente dislumbrante.apredam novas cantoras chegar perto dela.unica.........😢❤
It’s so unfair that God puts aside so much talent for geniuses like her and none at all for people like me! And I mean it in the nicest way possible! One of my most favorite concerts ever was Norah Jones’s performing at the Theatre at MSG in NYC where she too played the piano like it wasn’t a separate instrument but something attached to her being. Still gives me goosebumps to this day when I remember that night.
Amazing! So glad I found this
クラシックの名曲から始めるのは、流石ですね。実はピアノは、可成り上手い事で有名な人です。モーツァルトの協奏曲くらいは、弾けるはずです。
Sarah, insuperável.
I agree, the best version of the song. Thank you for uploading it <3
WTF? This is like finding out the pyramids are actually round in person. Mind Blow Away. She's Phenomenal.
Nat is still unforgettable in 2024 ...
I want voices like this one on today's music. Natural, deep, unique
Que linda letra gracias mi amor ,Carlos GO❤🫂
Me encanta recordar
that's the way!
Who knew Vaughan could play breathtaking
What a beautiful, classy lady Sarah was and what a sexy, sexy song! Loved it from the very time I heard it on the radio many years ago!
OMG Faints
A voice & presence sweeter than any of the purest honey!
Amo está música 🎷 meu cantor favorito em todos tempos🙏🙏🙏
Fabulous! 🙌🏾🌻💛
A very young Sarah.
Lovely to see her, but I prefer the simplicity of her earlier recording of this.
When her voice is joined with full orchestra it is heavenly. I can't helped being drowned by the beautiful melodies and counter melodies. Her vocal intepretation is superb! Her giving notes there full value and sometime extra uncover meaning the composer was unaware. Her ability to make her voice sound like an instrument, her vibrato, low notes, resonance, truly devine!...not to forget the orchestration is so beautifully written and performed..
A shame the snare drum wasn't miked better, the brushes from Buddy Rich hardly come through as more than a crackle.
Can we appreciate that bass! 1:40
Love the song and Nat's soft voice a good combination. 👍
RIP Ella
❤❤God Bless ❤❤
Sammy Davis Jr is no slouch either - but this is pretty sweet.
Grande cantante mai dimenticato❤❤❤❤❤❤😢😢😢😢
Linda canción para un lindo nombre: Me llamo María Elena. Muchas gracias.
Maria Elena Escobar is a great name. First time ever to hear the actual song. I did not know it existed. I've grown up listening to the instrumental version and loved it. Now I finally come full circle. Nat King Cole singing it with his unique musical voice is heaven!
Can you tell me from where it is? What the concert is this?
I listen to him playing the piano this afternoon it was exceptional. But to me the greatest instrument that Nat possessed was his voice & singing in Spanish didn’t deter.
Wonderful!
Not possible to sing that good. I read that Earl Hines, upon hearing her for the first time said, "Am I dreaming or is that child singing?" Thanks for the post.
My parents love song. I like Nat singing. There are also other great versions.
One of the greatest singers ever.
Her recording from July 18, 1946 is much better.
Amo.❤
She is a beautiful woman also this is my wife favorite song. I. Miss her so much ❤❤😂
❤👏👏👏👏👏
