pass first point guards are just as bad as score first point guards because they keep the ball in their hands and only pass if there’s an assist available. i’ve seen “pass first” point guards that will get a turnover from a double team or a shot clock violation, just because they weren’t able to find an assist. In my opinion, the best point guards are the ones who know how to play off the ball and allow their teammates to create offense for themselves. The elite PG’s will pass before they get up half court, the. sprint to the paint for a pass back.. or they’ll pass to the center in the post then set an off ball screen on the SG, so the center can hit the SG for an open 3. point guards who can play on and off ball are the true elite playmakers

I was with you until you said … “if you want the ball in your hands and wanna dribble and run the offense and take 20 shots a game then make a pg” that’s the problem with the pgs now … it’s hard being a pass first pg … if you make a pass and the person miss it’s gonna be blamed on you … it needs to be a balance of pass and scoring… a lot of pgs get iced out because of other players complaining… people will look at box score and say dang pg you got 3 assists in the 3rd but not paying attention to everyone shooting 3/10 and the one person who is scoring .. will pass up open shots and dribble into another shot and you’ll lose the assist… and people will inbound away from the pg standing right in front of them … and throw a full court pass to keep the pg from getting assists

I agree even though take less shots cause my pass first myself I’m stay that way regardless just wish I had two who can make there shots if I give it to them if I made few mistakes I’ll barley get the ball but if I pass it to them they can’t knock it down well that’s on them I did my part!! Don’t get mad if your open I kick to you for the easy 2 or 3 and you can’t knock it down blame the PG for it!!

The games just horrible for everything at this point, full court passes intercepted to often, animations are all over the place, shot selection timing doesn’t even matter, I literally put my close shot to 99 earlier with cap breakers and paint prodigy to legend with float game legend, and I still miss wide open in the paint shooting a floater on my 7 footer, I literally can’t shoot a better shot to miss 😂

Pass first PG here. My biggest issue is bigs not cutting or setting screens. If everyone stands around I can’t make a play.

Ppl hv no humility dawg. I average 30 ppg on a lockdown PG but I'll be more than happy to go sit corner and watch sum1 else score. It's crazy

This game has me speechless. A wide open dunk or layup is called “bad shot selection”. Causing you to miss. Yet they hit shots in your face as if you’re not playing defense.

It got to the point where me and 2 other ppl I play with run on a sf, pf, and C in the rec. Dudes be shooting 20 percent from 3 and be trying to ice the pg out. Once they do that we just start selling it is what it is atp🤷🏽‍♂️

So as a big man, one issue I have is when I do come up to set screens or play off ball for the PG, I get waved off. It is unreal the amount of times I’ve been told on voice chat “I don’t need no screen” like cool, we get it, you’re a dribble head that will waste most of our shot clock trying to get open and your ego is too big to just take the 2-3 second screen which opens up multiple lanes and playmaking possibilities.

PG here and my journey has been crazy with Rec randoms. Went from Bronze to HOF and all the way back to Bronze and now back to Gold. Keep preaching bro. I only see Centers and PF's on my perimeter the whole freaking time. Or 4 players standing around to receive the inbound pass. As a PG I don't take that many shots to be honest. I try the ball movement game, but not everyone understand this game. Also when a PG's passes the ball, it almost never comes back, even if you are open. Tbh, i dont like the dribble dribble dribble and shoot game, but it is highly effective in this game with good spacing teammates.

It is the community fault to some degree they added Rng to negate people who zen which shouldn’t be a thing since it’s a damn game you don’t get money from. But we all agree this year 2k is ass and it’s gonna either take everyone to not buy it or someone to make a game better for them to wake up

If more guards pass. Other people will know when to cut. If you gave a problem with pass first. You shouldn’t even play 5. You need to play two man

You had an assist on the very first play of the game and your team scored 109 points. So you only had 2 more assist the rest of the gave and took 25 shots and you're trying to spin a narrative that you were passing 😂😂😂. Tell that to these people who don't pay attention. I see why they were calling time out on you. To score 109 means everyone is scoring yet you only had 2 more assists the rest of the game as the pg and ended the game tied for the least amount of assists but took the most shots. That's crazy.

Most of these rec players need to play mycareer before going in rec , or proving grounds . They dont know where to stand to run players .

i was with you right until you said if you want to take 20 shots a game make a point guard. Point guards are supposed to facilitate. One of the biggest problems in the 2k community is the 20 shots a game point guards. What do you mean a SF or PF shouldn't be taking the most shots. KD, Lebron, Giannis are all forwards and they take the most shots, so honestly that part of what you said made no sense. The best player should take the most shots. Jokic takes the most shots he's a center, the best player is who should shoot the most, not necessarily the pg unless he's the best scorer.

For every teammate that sells there’s 3 pgs trying to be the main scorer whos just not that. Pg is the hardest position yet that is the most created position. Most pgs is not going 9/10.

As a pass first i seen it all 1. Bigs setting screens but not rolling 2. Some dudes would rather sit at the three but dont cut for an easy bucket. 3. Point centers. (Iykyk) 4. Call for pass when the AI is wide open. I could go on. I dont wanna sound like an old head but new age nba got yall thinking its 3s or nothing somtimes the easy bucket is the best bucket.
