God I love this piece so much and have learned it pretty well but have never experienced bass like this. And to hear Maestro Dupré perform it?!? It's like having a time machine.

I think in the Toccata part one should use 32' stops in pedal including low C which gives about 16 Hz. Great performance and awesome piece.

Meine Großeltern mit dem schönen Namen Weiteschat kommen aus Ostpreußen dort in der Nähe von Allenstein bewirtschafteten sie einen Hof. Meine Eltern sind in Allenstein getraut worden. 1944 war alles vorbei und sie haben mit Tränen in den Augen ihre Heimat verlassen müssen.

You require spheric microphone types to grab the homegenious frequency distribution. Then the very low frequencies also come better on the subwoofer.

I surrender to the beauty of this piece of work performed on such a monster old tech tone making system.

this is the real thing...YES 30hz where it's needed

The bass always needs boosting ...miking these monsters is impossible to catch the full power of these pipe organs. A past friend of mine told me that they have to be careful for the amount of bass from these pipe organs as, they can shake the cinderblocks loose in the building those 30 hz notes
