E39 M5 S62 Sweet Tooth VANOS
E39 M5 S62 - How to find the 'sweet tooth' for the dual splined VANOS shaft. Once found and marked, you can reconnect the shafts to the VANOS units then easily line up the gears upon reassembly.
The same concept applies to the exhaust cams and you can get leverage to rotate the splined hub by inserting a torx or allen bit into the hole on top.

Ducati Desmo 2V Shim Install
มุมมอง 15K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This as a partial install of closing and opening shims on the vertical head intake valve of a Ducati Monster S2R1000. The intent is to show a close up of the shim R&R process. This does not show how to properly check the clearance of the valve shims. The video starts with the closing shim already installed as well as one of its two collets (keepers). At this point the cylinder is filled with ro...

I would like to learn how to drive a stick shift!
Six speed manual on a Pontiac Bonneville wow that guy can shift really well!
I would love to know how you did it
I relocated the battery and abs into the bumper, rewired the engine harness, then sheet metal and bondo work.
You just put the hose in the reservoir?
Yep. But, you don't want it to be air tight.
Italian madness.
That’s Dope
I am actually building a 1994 Pontiac Bonneville right now
I love how smooth it shifts
Do u have any videos on how to do this
Nah, sorry. I converted this for an org member years ago and test fit it on my i30 that I no longer have. After I gutted the motor, I remember taking the one gear, flipping it on the shaft and it made contact with the set screw at the top which you can adjust to get it right at 100% open. The TPS mount is just bent up sheet metal, as is the cable stop. I think I had to use a first Gen VQ35 DBW TB spring due to the '09s not working out.
Terrible explanation
Genuinely happy to have wasted your time.
Did u fix it
Yeah I added a +12v sense wire to the alt that the 00+ 3800s, had it wired correctly to begin with but re-wired it wrong in haste putting the engine back in.
@@bradsmith1455 Where can you get what that's shaded like OEM?
@@1995naSTA Can youp post a video on the alternator set up in having trouble my my 98 alternator. Its my fourth one in a year, no exaggeration
Outside of a junkyard, no idea.
@@1995naSTA can u post a video of the alternator setup u did on your car please?
Damn.
Silicone ir never use aftermarket gaskets without silicone
A thin layer of Hylomar or equivalent gasket dressing is better for a base gasket IMO. (The right) RTV is great for machined aluminum surfaces, gasket over lap, stamped steal to aluminum, etc.
Did you retrofit this with a manual transmission?
Yes, from a Pontiac G6.
Nice closeup of the install. I have done this job a few times myself on my S2R800, a bit fiddly but a DIY for most competent owners. TBH, while I admire the desmodromic valve system, I think it became obsolete by about the 1980's as valve spring technology improved.
Thank you. I did this first on my S2R800 before I swapped the S2R1000 powertrain in. The procedure is identical and the shims are actually the same depending on the year. I like the Desmo valvetrain but I have to admit for a system that has no theoretical valve limit, it doesn't make a ton of sense on something with a lower redline. But then again, I don't think most buy an Italian anything because it makes perfect logical sense.
Hello, could you share the diagrams with me? i have a 97 bonneville and the height sensor is not working
"Where will U go next?" The repair shop.
Driveshaft went ADIOS
love you mikasa
Hi. useful video! Is the problem solved?
A new fuel pump solved the issue for several months but it came back. I built a pressure regulated bypass for an in-line check valve instead of replacing the pump again and outlined that on jaguarforums.com. www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/2002-2-5l-fuel-pressure-issue-w-new-pump-219883/#post2142149
I used to have all of Glassjaw b-sides. Kids, make back-ups for your songs. That's all. ( This song is fucking beast)
Sweet, I checked your build out on 2stroke forums. What kind of handlebars are those? I love how they sit low and the hold the gauges.
I had the same exact bike great bikes Yamaha DT 175 enduro last for ever mine is still around riding trails
did you ever find a fix for this was it a bad ground
No
Yo I live in Portland too and have an 01 bonneville SSEi. Could you help me with the conversion to manual?
Dakota McComb Sorry, I live on the other side of the U.S. The 00+ is very different too.
Oh I see. How difficult/ expensive do you think the conversion would be?
Dakota McComb Maybe this will help give you an idea. www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/forum/your-ride-pics-and-videos/topic12270-140.html
What's going on my man...we were in bonneville forum together years ago...you still got the Bonnie I see!!
Blade Brown Yes sir! What was your sn on there? Im still over on pontiacbonnevilleclub.com.
1995naSTA I've moved to gmforum. After I lost all my log in so Ive always thought the page was switched lol.
Hello would like to contact you regarding the manual tranny on the bonneville. Maybe email or text
Omar Gadea The swap is outlined in the link posted a couple comments down.
how did you get the gauge cup to stay, is it drilled in? 🤔
man i have been reading your threads on how you lowered this via custom built coilovers in the front... How did you lower the rear with it having the air assist??? Im planning on doing the same or similar with my 98 SSEI.
So how the Fu#k did you accomplish this??!! Mad science at its best!! Awesome! Seriously I hope you reply and tell me about the conversion process!
Chance Russell Thanks. I have a build thread on pontiacbonnevilleclub.com
is this near the base? and are there any good skateparks for bmx near base?

1995naSTA thank
Oh my god! This is amazing!! And its so clean! Outstanding job!
are there many rwd 3800's in America? the fwd ones look so weird to me, as in Australia they are only ever in rwd cars
Bunker_128 There are far more fwd variants. Our Camaro and Firebirds had your ecotec 3800 with a lower stack upper/lower intake but that's it.
thank you for information.
hey your bonnie is sick I have a 1993 bonnie yo i'am trying to see how I can do the swap on my car is it expensive?
antoine ford Unless you're doing all the work yourself, it'll be expensive.. There's no mounting kit and the only thing that makes it easy is the flywheel/clutch part has been figured out. More info here: www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/forum/your-ride-pics-and-videos/topic12270-140.html
what's up my name is tony I have a 1993 bonnie I wish I could do the same to my car was it very expensive and how did you do it.
antoine ford As mentioned on the other video it'll be expensive if you're not fabbing everything yourself. More info here: www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/forum/your-ride-pics-and-videos/topic12270-140.html
One of One.... The only 6 speed '90's Bonneville in existence?
125AXer 1 of 2 but I was the first to do the swap.
Can you please measure the muffler? It looks like the 5X11 Magnaflow but I cant tell. It could also be the 5x8. Sounds great. Quite and deep.
That's nice work,I've been wanting to do that to my 92SSEi. Is it a f1 tranny?
This is magnificent! Awesome down to what looks like a Crown Royal shift boot? I would love to know the details of this trans swap! I'm guessing F40 from a G6 GTP?
Would you mind sharing the model of this magnaflow?
It's a custom exhaust with p/n 94109 3" Magnaflow cat, a 30x6" Magnaflow resonator I think p/n 12641, and I'm not sure of the p/n for the Magnaflow muffler.
this tune makes me just want to get out n write
I wasn't sure until I saw the wheels and the drop., And now the P40. Easily the sickest engineering of a Bonnie on the streets in the US. My '95 L36 just passed 210K coming home on the Expressway the other night. I think she's finally broken in.
They're Monro Matic plus shocks with the AK-29 air line kit
It's not currently hooked up in this video but in the past I've put it below the drivers head light behind the bumper. The line from the tank will reach. You just have to mount the canister and lengthen the line to the TB.
I cut/tacked/assembled the headers in my garage. Most of the welding I had done by a pro since I was going to jet-hot coat it. I went full 3" SS to a dual f-body muffler out back. I uploaded a vid of that setup since this one.
This is horrible, completely butchered.
