If you think some of the puzzles in GK2 are obtuse moon logic, wait until you get to the “cat hair” puzzle in GK3. Also Robert Holmes did indeed compose the police chief’s theme. It’s the same theme that was used for Mosely in GK1.

Okay, continuation from my Landstalker whatever comment on shadows. This game isn’t isometric which means the frame transitions are more seamless (due to blocks not overlapping) and also maybe I’m really tired and just want to comment on ur vids to boost em.

My first youtube vid (archived) was actually a review of this game. It was just me talking into an ipod touch with my baby son on my lap. Anyways, most old consoles before the N64, Saturn, PSX generation were sprite based and used sprite layers. So there wasn’t 3D space or an easy way to include a drop shadow for Landstalker. If a game did have shadows and was restricted by sprite layers, it was most likely drawn as part of the sprite. For some more info on this old ass vid you probably already learned, sprites are based around squares with a “transparent” color to allow the background layer to show through. So even drawing a new sprite over an old one would have been clunky and looked like ass. For more bullshit on old console limitations, hit me up.

I have such fond memories of this game as a kid.. but was always haunted by the fact that I never finished parallel 4... but now I'm not sure I can even bother lol. Fired it up recently and boy have those controls not aged well for me...

Idk why you think the voice acting is not good. Especially compared to its contemporaries its extremely passable, even good. Metal Gear Solid legit has many more stilted or off center vocal performances.

I have a recommendation for anyone interested in slow mo power fantasy FPS games. Check out Severed Steel. It's got a demo up and it's one of the best FPS games I've played and it only came out a couple years ago. The music is incredible.

Iannas sword being a sword makes . Zoe is the easiest character to play as thanks to her dodge roll so by end game the sword basically nerfs her. I don't know what you mean only Sargon can use the sword effectively coz all 3 characters can use the sword with their own special moves.

Only learned about this game about a year ago when I saw it on sale for Switch. Instantly reminded me of Dark Souls so it was a must buy. I'm glad such lesser known, obscure games finally get the praise & recognition they always deserved.

listen, the trick to play syndicate is to thinking as a terminator, once you get used to slow the time and the rampage bonus, you get the feel of a true agent of chaos like every enemy is a causality bound to happen and you are the fire that lit them to their doom.

FYI, showing gameplay of the leaked copy is _not_ an issue you need to be concerned about at all. Decently large youtubers do that kind of thing all the time - I can see you're a fan, so you probably remember Civvie's video on the leaked DNF build, just as the first example I can think of. That's one of the fringe benefits of being a smaller youtuber; even if it were an issue, it's not something that's automatically detected, so youtube/copyright holders arent going to give enough of a shit to start anything. Also, this was _definitely_ past the era where devs didn't know what to do with analog sticks. The dreamcast may have almost been like a 5½ gen system in a lot of ways, but this game doesn't get a pass there. Also also, OMG El Dorado Gate OMG that's my #1 most wanted translation. But I've got no illusions, it's a very obscure series for a legendarily poorly selling system, that is very text-heavy, comes in _eight fuckin parts,_ and to top it off, nobody is working on a translation. All that means it will _literally_ be faster to just learn Japanese on my own and translate it myself than to wait around with my thumb up my butt.

I totally agree that there should be more Thundercat games I've been trying to get retro studios in studios that do beat em ups to make a thundercats game for a very long time I even had the name of it thundercats return to 3rd Earth
