Such a beautiful sketchbook, I love seeing your progress. You lines are so gorgeous, especially with the pen. And of course I love all the pokemon 😁 I am 80% done with my sketchbook, which is a miracle already 🤭 I want to make beautiful sketchbook spreads, but my mood changes often so I always have unfinished spreads with blank spots xD at that moment I think I'll finish it next time, but next time I feel like drawing something completely different and start a new spread instead 😅

Aww, this is so adorable and thoughtful of you for your members. I too tend to hoard my art supplies 😅, i love trying out new acrylics. Cant live without those as thats my main medium, i guess in time as i learn to explore dry media more, that will expand 😁

My brain can’t comprehend how you think of the colours, patterns and lines for your art. I’m stuck in a rut of just copying and I’m struggling to add my own flair to my work!

It really hit home for me when you talked about letter your inner child create. I remember I used to have my mom draw horses for me so I could color them in! I wish I still had those drawings because I thought she was the best artist. She inspired me although she never drew until I asked her to growing up 😌 I plan on trying some traditional techniques instead of digital, thank you always for your inspiration 🤍

The scents associated with cheaper art supplies (crayons, colored pencils…) absolutely sends me back to when I was little, and the rush that comes with unhinged creativity is so freeing. Love this!

This piece is stunning! The way alcohol markers blend is something that is so lovely; they're great for blending and making "dreamy" or "hazy" scenes. I've been really drawn to colors in works lately as well and it's made me realize that's something I need to practice and improve on. Congratulations on your new job opportunity; I hope it goes well and you're able to get what you want from it!

I love that you referred to the crayons as “Crayola pastels”! That’s exactly how I like to think about them. I fell back in love with crayons during the pandemic when they released the Colors of the World series which is, in my opinion, the best skin tone color palette of any art supply. I wish that Caran D’Ache Neocolor IIs had an equivalent to the Colors of the World selection. I bought the crayons, colored pencils and both the thick and thin marker sets of this line, and I grabbed a 96 box of crayons. I find myself reaching for my Crayola materials in the same way that you described in this video, when I want to create in a way that feels “low pressure”. This piece that you made in this video was spectacular! I haven’t used a marker base with the Crayolas yet, but I will be experimenting now that I see how well this works. Thank you for sharing!

I remember the absolute joy of getting a new pack of 24 crayons at the beginning of a new school year. While I feel that same kind of excitement now as an adult with expensive supplies the excitement doesn’t stay while using them. I love this message and the piece you created.

You're right about water based markers being streaky and not able to blend in the slightest! I felt the exact same when I first tried them but they do seem to be best used differently 🥰
