I have a seemingly ever growing list of questions for 2025. The dominoes start falling once we find out which, if any, teams leave the AFL. Two of my question are the AZ Bandits and the Chicago rush. Not so much on the other teams announced. The only team from the AFL defunct list I think has a chance for 2025 is the VooDoo. BUT! Before all that happens let's see if the NAL and the AIF do merge. And let's see if it's like next month. I could on and on.

The Skyhawks never won a game, so not letting them win this, either, is somehow fitting.

About two years ago there was a push, more like an insistence, to go more card based. The two main instances I saw were for events at local arenas, be it sports or otherwise and the food vendors at our state fair.

Not the biggest baseball fan but I like to make it out to the ballpark at least once. I try to catch a noon game. Have only been out once in a handful of years.

Great Lakes--I believe the Avengerz won it Omaha Beef--I believe undefeated for two years (seasons) now. Last year and this year. Birmingham--I believe they had one loss Wheeling Miners-Going to announce that they will join another league. Fans/people are thinking, guessing and hoping it will be the NAL AIF--Has a plan to get stable. Bit of a long range plan. UFL--I heard no expansion year two. Teams to focus on marketing. Let's not forget that the league has two trademarked team names.

Ohio Glory was a tight uniform, great color(s), and hot logo. Wish they could've joined the USFL.

The Arena League--Between the blowouts and the formations I have a hard time watching it. I called it the Dollar General of indoor football. I still am a fan of how the league carries itself. AFL2024--I'm beginning to thing more and more that the league will be back next year.

Women's Sports--I haven't in a while because reasons but I watched in person semi-pro women's tackle football. I'm going to give this x-league a chance if it does start. Seems like it this time. WNBA--I haven't picked a side. I haven't watched Caitlin Clark. And I live in Iowa. I'm not rushing over to the TV tube to watch WNBA games. What's going on is no different than what happened with Johnson and bird. IFA--For some reason I'm not interested. Maybe because I'm not interested in Americanized football in other countries. Trying to Watch The Arena League. Not sure about the game play format.

Looks MAFL is taking shape. When they say Midwest, they mean Midwest. Not just Ohio, Michigan and Indiana. Which makes sense.

The Arena League is going to be interesting. The Dallas Falcons rebranded? Interesting.

I like listening to NAL's commish. I just can't but wonder which teams join next year.

Stumbled onto the MAFL last week. Almost looks like one team is playing in the GLAF league and will play in the MAFL. Don't know if they are switching leagues or are comitting to both leagues. Kind of ballsy if you ask me. And a tad expensive I would think. My only concern is, does the states of Michigan, Indiana and Ohio need two leagues? Are they aiming for year round football? If so, pretty ballsy.

Athens local here. We're extremely excited about the Rock Lobsters getting started. However, the new Classic Center Arena cost the city a TON of money to build. And when they proposed a hockey team they over negotiated for an ECHL team and based their ticket prices to be in line with the Gladiators and Ghost Pirates. A season ticket for Athens is MORE money than the Atl Glads. The FPHL is two leagues below the ECHL, and host 8 fewer games a season. So for more money, you have less competitive hockey, fewer games, and a brand new fanbase. The cheapest season ticket option, which should be the lowest price available, starts at $550. That's just a few cents shy of $20 a game. That's fine and all, but Columbus hosted FPHL Semi-finals playoffs this year for $13 at the door. Rinkside season tix for Columbus is $700 per to our $1100. Cheap hockey was never going to be on the table for Athens. Knowing that nobody all season long will get in the door for less than $20, I have my own doubts about the success of this franchise.

You have to know your market size. You don't put an AFL team in your 3rd largest city. Nor do you take your team from your 3rd largest city and try to put it in the AFL. This is assuming said sport is even popular in the area. Smaller market leagues can work. Just got to know how to work them.

The thing is with baseball and to a slightly lesser degree with hockey and comparing them both to football is the system they have. Football doesn't. Could it? That's the million dollar question. Would a farm system work in football? That's another million dollar question.

Here in Des Moines Iowa we got Iowa Wild--AHL--Tied to Minnesota Wild of the NHL and the Des Moines Buccaneers of the USHL. Which to my understanding is a mid-tier league where, to my understanding, you go to get experience then you decide college or pros. Not a hockey fan so don't quote me.

Saw a couple Glory games when a student at OSU in 92. I think they were the only 2 decent games they played.

I don't know what teams the would or could contact because of the way things was said and how it was said. It's no guarantee it was the teams that folded/pause/or whatever word they're using. If it's not those teams then who? NAL? AIF? It could only be the NAL teams. They could be the only ones to afford it. Doubt the AIF teams could.
