DIY Adirondack Chair Build! - Easy & Affordable with Free Plans!
Looks like what I need . I'm trying to build one that I can move with the tractor when I mow. It cool that you build TP's bench 😎.
I'm gonna add a collapsible leg that folds into the seat for when the big boys come by. Great build! Thanks!
Where do I find the plans???
I would love them too and can you explain how to make it bigger for a queen headboard? It looks awesome!
Like a Boss
Thanks for your very good work
I'll have to rewatch the video to be sure, but since there is no glue, only screws, this chair can be disassembled to be painted/stained, or flatpacked when you move, then reassembled at a new location or after painting/staining. Simple design, no curves. Curious what this would be like if you sat on it for 4hrs reading a book. I'll download your free plans and see how I can screw up, err see if it's within my skills to make. Thanks for posting this.
Trying this tomorrow on. Some metal tables I have ! Thank you for sharing this video!:)
Currently making my own boards, what kind of poly did you use? All the water base poly I’ve found was for interior not exterior
Amazing, didn't know WD40 removed rust. Thanks a million.
Thank you for this video! I could not find the plans.
Nevermind, found it!
What are the measurements of the 2 * 6 that goes down the middle
Did you use standard plywood?
Great design! Do you have downloadable plans?
In the video he shows the plans watch the video without skipping till about 2:15 he shows the wood needed and the measurements. Continue watching for other help
Is there any way to see the plans you reference in the video title?
If you watch the video till like 2:00 you’ll see the most replayed part of the video has the plans
You are the first one I could actually watch all the way through, it’s because you get straight to it and don’t make small talk. You just talk about the build. Great job!
Thank you!
How high did you put the seat?
Sat down on seat and it rolled to my left, if I had not jumped it would have taken me with it. FAIL
I did not have this issue with the first one built, but noticed it on another so updated the build with the back legs spread out more.
excellent video ! Thanks
Where are the plans?
Thanks dude for sharing the plans for free.
No problem 👍
What are the measurements for the sheets of plywood?
I did 24" x 48"
Good work my dude
Thank you!
Really impressed with how beautiful these look! Good job and thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much!
Great job!
Thanks!
Great job. I wanted to ask:" Why not incorporate LED's? When the bag witch has a sensor sewed inside with a specific color, when it lands on the board that color lights up." You're probably wondering how I know, I was asked to build a set (Alabama Crimson Tide boards with bags) for a friend...that was my WOW!! Factor. I'm hoping to see a little more creative engineering out of you. Great job none the less.
Thanks!
I like the idea! Did you post this anywhere? Would be fun bonus project.
@@Chris-ut6eq No. It was a project for a friend whom were "ALABAMA FANS" That was the theme. I also made a cooler stand with the same theme, out of wooden palletts. I think what you're doing is perfect. All I was saying...put a little more of you into it. Make them so different that people can't help but to own a set. Wish you the best of luck, not that you really need it, because you're already there. Have a great day.
I think getting a table so you are not on your knees all the time but it was a great tutorial.Thankyou
I think getting a table so you are not on your knees all the time but it was a great tutorial.
Could send the plans for this shooting bench to me love it
Did you have to buy double the amount of materials to build both???
Great Find!
sexy
I see one box had a center 2x4 going across and the other box did not ?
I watched until I seen the top wasn't lined up with the frame... cut the top a slight big larger and use a flush cut bit to even everything up... box joints are nice too if you have the tools to make them
I built this bench today using pressure treated (6) 2x4x8, (4) 5/4 x6x8 deck boards and (2) 4x4x8 post. I already had some leftover 2 1/2” and 3” deck screws and structural screws from a deck project. Had about $70 in lumber ( add about $20-30 if needed to buy screws)Only change I made was i used the leftover pieces of 4x4 to add extra legs under the seat because it wanted to tip over when sitting down, works great. Easy build on Sunday afternoon after church. Sorry can’t figure out how to post a picture. I recommend this design over the many others I contemplated building.
Also made legs 35” and seat height 18”. I am 5’9 both sons little over 6’ but wife and daughter both about 5’2 and 5’4” so this height works better for us
BOM TRABALHO
I don’t understand why you’re putting your port on an angle when you cut your pocket holes? Doesn’t seem like it would grip very well with less threads.
What port are you referring to
😊@@greattbuilds
I watched until pocket holes enter the scene 😑
What would you suggest I do instead of pocket holes?
@@greattbuilds maybe a joining technique a DIY user with basic tools may find simpler.
@@rafaeldickens I mean, if they are gonna use true joinery they’ll need a lot more tools and skills that a new DIYer wouldn’t have. Tools are tools and joinery is joinery. Just depends on the route you wanna go🤷🏼
@rafaeldickens you don’t need a jig to drill pocket holes, just makes it easier. All you have to do is drill down straight about 1/4 inch, then leaving the tip of the drill bit in the wood, angle it down. There are videos on TH-cam that can show you what I’m describing
You're a clown 🤡
Built this, only problem I ran into is the bench can tip over if you sit off to one of the sides. I plan and adding more support on the sitting side.
Yes the back legs should’ve went as far apart as possible. Made the video on the very first one I’ve ever built.
Nice bench idea - but not something you just throw into the back of the pickup and head out to the range with, very easily. A bench for the "property" - absolutely. Thanks.
Yes it was made for a ranch for long range shootong
@@greattbuilds Looks nice and solid
People make this so confusing
Was the video confusing?
@@greattbuildsyour video has been the easiest to follow so far. Actually I did see one where a guy made a “short” and it was pretty simple. If I was to make a video I’d make it for an absolute beginner, someone that has no idea what they’re doing AT ALL. That’s how simple I’d make it, just my opinion. Like I said yours is easy for me because I do woodworking as a hobby but some of the lingo and cuts people aren’t going to know. I am going to build this though; have you ever thought about selling your plans? Probably make good money doing that
Your measurements are different from the cut list to the actual building of the headboard according to the video. The cut list wood measurements need to be corrected
Thanks for that answer, I did add it right.
Nice work! What depth is your pocket hole jig set to for 3/4" plywood?
Honestly just did whatever my pockethole jig is set to. Haven’t ever adjusted it
Did you by any chance made an estimate for the cost of the materials as well?
I believe it was under $100 for both boards!
Great video, awesome!!! Thank you.
Thank you!
Good job
Thank you!
I keep a couple metal studs around to do the same thing. The metal studs seems to be much straighter than wood. Very lightweight, not affected by water, and cheap to replace.
That’a a. Great idea!
Are they from Ikea or do I have to order them somewhere else please write me back
There from my garage. Homemade
How can I get these headboards I need two full size and one Queen
These are custom built headboards
I built your design and it's a beast !! Thanks for a simple and VERY effective bench for my home range !!
That’s awesomen
