Hey great video, do you remember where the wheels shown on the end model were from?

I use 3m surface cleaner for resin , to remove acrylic paint . Leave them in for about an hour , take out , clean with an old tooth brush and they come up Good as new .

Looks like a decent kit, shame to have to hide all that interior detail. And nice work on that decal, looked a tricky customer, ended up looking great 👍🏻👍🏻

That is a big ol' box 🤯 i know what you mean about the colours in the manual, great manual but like you said the colour listings are so spread out, i got a little notepad and wrote down the code and colour so i could easily quickly refer to the required colour. The flying/landed options are good addition. Good amount of detail on the parts. And the main body looks huge 😅 looking forward to seeing how this turns out

I tried using this method and it worked well. However I wanted to remove paint and keep the colour of the plastic (blue) underneath. The paint was removed but the dettol changed the colour of the plastic underneath, sort of bleached it. Of course I can paint this bit too, but now must paint the whole body, something I wanted to avoid. So if using this method just bear that in mind.

When I was a kid in the 1970s, my mum used to put that in my bath water. 😂🤣

I'm currently building this kit! It's my first car kit but have been building models for quite a while. Really enjoying it so far and contemplating using the body shell for an rc drift car

I did exactly the method on a 1/72 spit that I had been using as a paint mule, so several layers, all Humbrol enamel, and I ended up with a perfectly clean model with fillers untouched. I used neat dettol and no scrubbing required.....amazing!

1st viewer boom! Looks like a decent kit. Shame there are no dash dial decals, hand painting then will be challenging.. underbody is abit basic.. it anniys me when the exhaust is cast into the underbody. Wheels look super sick though 👌🏼

Also, is the white layer just the spray paint removed? Or is it also the normal layer, and is the white just the plastic? Because i did not paint my plastic parts, and im wondering if it will take off the paint without damaging it

looking at this on ebay wondering if it's decent being a cheaper tamiya kit, Ofc it's crisper than walkers cheese and onion. Why do i even doubt tamiya? even their early 90s kits are still the equal of most kits from the last year or two

I was able to find Dettol at Walmart here in Canada, not sure if they have it in the USA.
