    Great video and thanks for the reminder. Indeed our generation is facing these mental issues because I believe there is a lack of purpose and growth. So many distractions and so much noise. However I can also see some youngsters from Gen Z are doing also contributing through different ways in creating meaningful stuff. Only if everyone could get this. And I agree with the sleep part too.😀

    This is such a great video, and it feels like an echo of the way I've been trying to act recently. I'm really guilty of acting out of anger or in a regrettable way when someone upsets me, but as of recently, I've been trying my best not to waste any effort on being angry at people, and rather, knowing that anyone who upsets me was never a real friend and is not worth the energy. Thank you for making this!

    Asma, I rewatched this video just now after having watched it earlier when you first uploaded it, and it spoke volumes to me today, especially since I've really been struggling to regulate my emotions. Society encourages us to bottle up all our feelings and finally, when it comes out in the form of an outburst, people are shocked. It was so liberating to hear you say that it's okay and important to feel all these emotions. In sha Allah, I'll try to make meditation a part of my life. Thank you!

I also find myself resisting my emotions at times, so I do my best to take a pause and feel "everything" by crying it out, writing it down and praying on it. From what I know, basically you used to be someone who was obsessed with social media but what gave you the burst of energy to break through and figure all this out?

    • @asmareflects
      @asmareflects ปีที่แล้ว

      Appreciate the question :) The burst of energy was from being totally done with my own self-sabotage. I was using SM as an escape from my toxic job and relationships. So I decided to fix the root cause, heal myself, accept my flaws and get out my own way. Took me a couple of years to get here but it was worth everything.

    • @wind_andenergy4611
      @wind_andenergy4611 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@asmareflects I ask for a little bit of advice, if you feel like you've become confident in yourself but maybe too confident and then you start to think maybe you come off to people in a different way then you expect, (Like a bad way) how exactly would I fix that since being confident is good but the cons are pretty bad

    • @asmareflects
      @asmareflects ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wind_andenergy4611 Great question, I think there's a fine line between confidence and overconfidence (a.k.a arrogance or superiority complex). Confidence is a deep sense of knowing your worth - you're born "enough", you're capable of achieving anything you set your mind to and can bounce back up from every challenge of life. You accept your flaws & mistakes but you don't let them define your sense of worth because deep down you know you're trying to improve yourself consistently. You don't need to seek validation from others, nothing to defend, nothing to prove, nothing to conquer. I learnt this analogy from Peter Sage. The moment you start thinking "I'm better than others" is when ego enters the room. If owning your true worth makes other people think you're "over-confidence", then that their perception, not yours. I hope this helps, I plan on making a video on this topic sometime. In the meantime you can watch Peter Sage's videos as he explains it in a much better way :)

      Thank you for your comment and sharing your challenges. I just wanted to remind you that we (as girls) are inherently valuable, our struggles and experiences are just here to help us realize our true worth. Have a healthy balance of self-acceptance and self-improvement. As long as you're educating yourself to be more aware and finding the truth, you're on the right path :) Remember - Your existence is a gift. Love your body, mind and soul just as you would want your friend to love theirs. I'd recommend you to watch videos of thewizardliz, manifestelle, Jordan Peterson etc. Be very conscious of what you consume (online and offline) and measure every decision, activity and relationship based on the value it brings in your life. Get the right kind of therapy, read good books on self-love and autism to discover your strengths and skills. I wish you all the best of health, wealth and guidance in life. Take care :)
