    I wanted to thank you for helping me change the water inlet valve on my GE fridge, I was getting confuse with the extra wires going to the inside/top of the fridge. Then came across you video: unplug and plug, don't try to figure out the harness that came with the part. 10-15 minutes and done.

      Haaa!! Yeah sometimes I get lucky! I'm glad it worked out. Sometimes I find that the simplest solution is the one to use. I make lots of mistakes and sometimes buy parts twice!! Haa!! I learn so much on TH-cam from others!!! So glad it worked for you. Those contacts are 110v. I took my old valve recently and hooked it up to a small power cord with a switch in my garage and blew air through it while switching it open and closed and it cleared it out? A little wad of junk came out of it, If I ever need to replace again I might try to put that old valve back in??? Haa!! Have a great day! Thanks for the note!!

    You can mount your standard opener to the side for 1-car garage door. But I see you already did a jackshaft opener. The issue I see with a jackshaft opener is if the garage door has any issues they just fail miserably. At least with the opener you had if door gets jacked up the top panel can't get free of the lift arm. Curious why you didn't try to get closer to the ceiling while you were at it? I have an older 12k 4-post bolt in style AMMCO lift I just finished installing kind of like you did, one bite at a time. I already have 8' tall 2-car garage door but want to get it closer to my 10' ceiling and this inspired me to just do it. I use my lift as a mezzanine for tools on wheels (welder, table saw, extra storage, etc.) to park an SUV under it. I bought mine for working on cars rather than car storage. Both platforms can be moved since it is a chain style lift versus the modern cable style. I was fixated on a 2 post for so long, a 4-post is so much more useful and I'm glad I did it, money well spent.

    • @BlitzMolinFab
      @BlitzMolinFab หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the comments and information. I thought about moving my opener but my kid needed a standard opener so i figure d" WTH! Haa! I've seen a lot of info on the wall mount openers so I figured I'd give it a shot. My only issue is that the wall mount openers don't really push the door closed so I had to play with the spring tension quite a bit. On the lift subject I have been on the fence for years about buying a lift and was, like you, fixated on a two post but decided to go with a four post for moveability. I have 7' doors but 10'3" ceilings. Wow, what brand lift do you have? Chain lift? I bought a Challenger. It was just about the only lift with short enough columns to move it out of my garage if i need to and don't need any more lift with 10' ceilings.

      It's an Ammco model B4120-SN thats 16' L x 11.5'W (similar to FP14KA), previous owner bought it from the shop without the fancy Bridge jacks that don't bother me a bit not having. My plan is to use air bag jack if I need to jack up a vehicle off the runners. The only thing I would do differently now if money not an issue is buy a portable unit like you except I like the Advantage/Wildfire style with posts. After having and using the style I have I got so lucky I measured and placed it perfectly for my needs. You really need to watch that nothing goes haywire with the door and makes slack in those cables that goes undetected by the jackshaft style lift. Glad you got it figured out. Marketing really needs to stop touting them as being so superior, they really leave a lot to chance where the other style is tried and true reliability with safety measures not matched by jackshaft.

    • @BlitzMolinFab
      @BlitzMolinFab หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thereplacementfordisplacement cool on your lift... And yes on the opener. I watch it carefully to be sure the cable is tight. • @Keaghanwood
    @Keaghanwood 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Each full wind of the spring is equal to one foot of garage door height. For example, a 7 ft. garage door requires 7 turns. The extra ¼ turn is required to ensure the cables on each side of the garage door will still have tension when the door is fully opened.

    Hi Bill. Great vid!! I'm in process of making up some ptfe fuel lines for my boat. I'm using the Fragola 6000 series hose. The ptfe core tubing is impregnated with carbon, thus rendering the hose "conductive" which allows it to dissipate the static electrical charge that can buildup inside the hose. "Carbonized" ptfe is easily distinguished from standard white ptfe tubing by its very dark or black coloring. Is it necessary to use high carbon ptfe hose for fuel line...?? To tell you the truth, I am not really sure. Ive been making my own AN hose assembly's for over 40 years and I've only recently heard anything about the dangers of static electricity buildup in certain fluid transfer applications. I have googled it, and checked on some other top hose suppliers, and as far as I can tell there does seem to be something to it. I just thought it would be worth noting, especially since we're talking about a highly combustible fluid. Again, Great vid ! I subed. 👍😊

    • @BlitzMolinFab
      @BlitzMolinFab 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wow! I have never heard of this!! No idea this was even an issue. All of the hose I used is just regular old PTFE. I would think that the metal ends would act as a ground of sort. OR run a Large Bore (minimizing flow restrictions is V important... as is Individually venting each valve cover if you have a V engine)) hose... NOT some teeny 1/2" bore piece of Garden hose equivalent) from Breather Vent(s) to exit below the car. A catch can only collects the yuck oils and still vents the ugly gasses to atmosphere. Totally Messing emission anyways.. so why add damaging venting restrictions (there is No longer vacuum assist with that goofy catch can.) and complexity and yet another maintenance item. 🙂

    On the top connector of the catch can, can you run a splitter to both valve covers and then use the bottom connector as a drain off back to the engine? For instance my timing cover has two fittings on it for a twin turbo return line but I'm only running one turbo so I could run the drain off the catch can to the other one.

You will more then likely find out that at a Minimum it needs to be behind the throttle body, and even better in a runner. Check out motion race works video 👍✌️also The amount of power you're leaving on the table with that filter is substantial. 🤫( I'm going to run the same filter on mine. It's a 4×4 Is puddle jumper)

I added some comments to state that if you're putting it at the filter it has to be an N/A only motor. On the filter issue I have struggled with how to set it up. I live in a dusty area of Arizona so protecting my motor is most important to me. I might have to try something different. Only time will tell. Thanks for the info.

      Thanks for the comment. I suck at replying to comments. I'll check the size. About 5/8 wide by about 1/8th thick. Hardware store stuff...

    Cool car I've never seen that sound mat installed on the door like that it's always been on the inside sticking to the door skin even the factory did it that way.

      Thanks, You are 100% correct!! That's usually where the vibration noise comes from. The door skins are thin and cause lots of vibration noise. I haven't put any inside the door yet but will be throwing a sheet or two inside there before the door panels go on. It's more to keep engine and road noise down. Thanks for the comment!!!

    3:15 into the video until the first tool is seen on a tool channel? 😂 This channel definitely needs a tool playlist! Are these harnesses specific for this power plant/transmission/car model or standard equipment?

      Computer is engine specific based on timing reluctor wheel and injector plug type.
