I hate grocery shopping. So I started tipping massively on DoorDash. Then a lady knocked on my door. We had a conversation now I just pay her cash I save money and she makes a hell of a lot more.

I didn’t know Uber did this. I’m glad they haven’t made me pay for one (yet). I don’t do skip the dishes but it seems like they are much more transparent and upfront about the fee. I don’t like how Uber treats some of there drivers better than others.

Thanks for talking about this topic, I started UE delivery few weeks ago. They did the background check and they took 11$ from this week pay. I think it will be two installements of 11$ . I taught it was free but nope. At least they should tell us that it is not free but they just withdraw the money when you start earning. By the way we are in the same area at rive-sud :)

Another great video Ash. I believe that only Uber rideshare drivers require the background check every year. I think for uberEats drivers, they only do the background check for the onboarding. I think they make money from the background check now??? So, we pay money for Uber to work for them. 🤔🤔🤔

I am not currently doing courier work. But I did just go back on the app to see if there was any new document requests, currently only my insurance needs to be updated, no request for a new background check. I did go back through my emails to see what the differences were. Doordash was free with Chkr Cornershop was free with Triton Instacart- none Uber - none (may have used the Cornershop screening) Skip - $30 (+$20 for bags in a deal) through Talentwise. The bags alone were worth it. So that's how I got over my crankiness.

I've done 1free background check in the 8 months I've driven. I drive everyday, have perfect stats, and have never used the overdraft. If they ever ask me to pay for anything I will quit.

I had to do a second background check last year on my 2 year anniversary, but I did not have to pay for it. But I just do eats, I would imagine because you're brother does rideshare as well uber is more strenuous with his checks. Knock on wood 95% is the lowest rating I've had.

Too much complexities in ubereats tbh next they would just have they own police and require us tests for drugs alcohol oxygen we breath etc 😂

Las night for fist time in 2 years I got a double order for 19 dollars after delivering the order one hour later I just got paid 3.71 was cold under 25 where I live I didnt know they could do that i called costumer service they said the two costumer remove the tip. I’m not doing uber anymore I do delivery like a partime job and I think DoorDash is enough they never do that

I did decline those crappy orders and now my acceptance rate is at 3%. 2/10 orders that pop up are worth accepting. And at 3% acceptance rate you get more crappy orders that other drivers have declined so i can't really get that number up and only drivers with high acceptance rates are offered good/worthy orders because they're like to accept them. The algorithm is poorly designed. I know this cuz my earnings in the beginning were around $700-$900 a week to now averaging 3-400 a week in the same amount of hours!

I see how the peak pay and area excludes where I see way more hot spots.

I do DoorDash in Florida and I have completed over 2400 deliveries in 2 years. I am a platinum dasher and for me I do the things to keep that status mainly for the Dash Now perk. If you don’t have Dash Now, you have to wait for it to get busy enough for them to open the platform to everyone and it only lasts for an hour before you’re knocked off, unless it’s busy. Without Dash Now you have to schedule yourself or just jump on when it’s open and hope you get enough deliveries. I work in an area with a lot of low income households and they make sure they get their food but don’t tip a penny! That’s my biggest problem. That “perk” that says you’re getting higher paying offers is offensive really, because I have gotten orders for a single coffee, and tonight I unassigned an order because it was 10 miles, one way, for 1 Burger King burger. I make enough to contribute to my household, but I don’t know if after buying gas, oil changes, tires, and brakes, if I make more than $7 or $8 an hour. But it gets me out of the house and a little money is better than no money. 😊

I did two separate on Uber eats I guess the driver pick them both up he couldn't figure out where my apartment complex was and I knew something was sketchy about it and I never got my food and it only refunded me half of my money even though I had two different orders and neither one of them got delivered. I'm very angry about that because it was a buy one get one free from The shake shack😂😂😂😂

It's only an average of 25 deliveries per week it's really easy to get 100 deliveries in a month

UberEATS probably stealing the tip and saying the customer reduced it there's no way to know for sure unless you're a computer hacker

DD is a scam. I once got a special "catering order" and they pay was like $8.00 for 4 km. So, what is great about doing more work for the same amount of money? This scummy company hopes you will accept their Dasher rewards, so you will pick up their trash? When I saw that catering order I was just F**king disgusted. First, the corporate customer that tipped so little is literally a POS. Second, how is this a "high value" order? So, I transport 4-5 bags or trays of food but get the same amount of pay, as someone who delivers a customer's McDonald's order or Popeye's order which is like 1 bag max. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

This is similar to what I told you the other day why I don’t cherry pick like I used to. In my market silver requires a 60% and gold requires 80% like platinum which is slightly different from yours. Big reason I think Uber is better for you than me is because you live in a more international vibe of a city (not like Toronto), Doordash is better for me here.

Dasher rewards is the biggest scam in human history. I actually tried being a top/platinum dasher for two months. Trust me the only "priority" you get is priority to all the terrible orders. I was making way less money trying to maintain 70% ar.

Curious what do you think about going to a smaller zone less food places. Hope less dashers. Ubereats I have been getting a lot of upsided down orders.

Im only doing Intacart as a start to work day. Live in middle of Nowhere so Only 1 Food loin so will never get a multi store order. I never accept a Multi order Batch. WIll Only waste 30 Minutes out of my day waiting for a Order. Not driving hour away for any order unless my take home in over $30 even then after dropped of Switching to Door Dash since dont have to drive back to store before get another order. I may do 2+3 orders on instacart MAX before switch to door dash since lot less stressful just dropping off orders and dont have to waste time shopping

I feel so stupid. I took an order that was 500 lbs. Had waters, food, pops, dog food 30lb, alcohol., 1 bottle, 2 stores Costco and Sam's complete opposite directions of each other, 3 different drop offs and the total came to $429.00 - My pay was $51.00. I feel so used and it took me 4 hours. They said they paid me heavy pay and they didn't. The waters were 42.25 lbs each. I feel so screwed on this order.

So in September, I pushed to get my DD AR from my typical 15% to 84% because it matters now to get on the schedule when it comes out at 3pm. I knew you and others may not agree with me on this, but ever since I don’t get as much trashy orders like I used to when I cherry picked. I even had a few days where I made $200 which has been really rare to make in a day in the last year and a half. Me personally I can’t afford to cherry pick especially in my market at least. I’m sure lots of people will disagree and even try to shame me for not cherry picking. At the end of the day, it’s not right and worth it for anyone to shame anybody for not cherry picking. Some people make money cherry picking and some people don’t. I feel like what I’m doing works for me and if cherry picking works for you and others great. I hope you take these things to consideration as well.

Face to fact, 12 million people illegally entered our country in the past three years. When you had a shit ton of workers, the demand and the base pay goes down. It’s like that with everything. Jobs in my area pay on average $2-$3 an hour or less than they did four years ago. The only people that benefit off all these people illegally entering or the rich business owners in corporations at the taxpayers expense

Ash i have tried to get my tip back. I contacted support but can never get it escalated to the manager. The support tells me that the issue has been escalated as far as it can go and will not put me in contact with the manager. Any suggestions?
