Three trains in Fortuna
มุมมอง 18713 ปีที่แล้ว
Steam action in Fortuna thru the underground station and past the Railway Express facility. A fat boilered 2-10-2, a 4-4-0 with a short train and a 2-6-6-2 all pass in review on the Shortbuck Railroad.
2-6-6-2 & 2-6-4 move freight
มุมมอง 26513 ปีที่แล้ว
The much maligned B-mann 2-6-6-2 moves a freight thru the Fortuna station, then the old Q-1 2-6-4 clears the passenger station and halts it's caboose at the tower for orders. Both engines using BULLFROG SNOT, of course.
Q-1 on a freight run

Q-1 (a commuter passenger engine) works a short freight. 2 original traction tires removed and replaced with BULLFROG SNOT. Not bad for a 40 year old engine, eh?
Kato 2-8-2 with BULLFROG SNOT

Almost the same train as the 2-10-2, 75 cars behind the GHQ/Kato Mikado using BULLFROG SNOT, passing thru the yard ladder of Shinohara switches. Who sez BULLFROG SNOT is not worth it?
87 car train behind a BULLFROG SNOT 2-10-2
มุมมอง 1K13 ปีที่แล้ว
For those who like long trains (like me), here is a Shortbuck Railroad bone stock Con-Cor 2-10-2, with the help of a little BULLFROG SNOT of course, hauling 87 cars, count 'em! Several laps around the layout - the room is 9' x 12' - and passing through the switches of the yard ladder. What do you think?
Steam action in Pella Yard on the Shortbuck Railroad
มุมมอง 35213 ปีที่แล้ว
A 2-8-8-0 Malley (Life-Like) and a 2-8-4 (MRC/Rowa from the '70's) have more than enough power for this freight passing thru Pella Yard on the Shortbuck Railroad. Three steamers linger at the engine house in the background. The old Q-1 then takes a local mixed train with an ex-Pennsy RPO the opposite direction.

A fat boilered 2-10-2 with a drag of empties meets the teakettle on the crossovers while a 2-8-4 waits for the tracks to clear. All use BULLFROG SNOT of course.

A Pennsy L-1 (Kato/GHQ) hauls (it happened, I have pictures) an upstate local including the Lehigh Valley connecting coach to a station meet with a Shortbuck RR mixed train while a 2-10-2 moves freight below. The Shortbuck engine is an ex-RDG Q-1 suburban steamer (actually they all went to scrap in '35, but SBRR snagged 3). Yes, that is the '70's vintage (when I got it) AHM Q-1 2-6-4, which is ...
Old Mallet moves revenue thru Pella Junction

Pella Junction station, interchange point with the Lehigh Valley and a Y for turning steam engines. Across the tracks on the roadway above, traffic is backed up for a funeral at the Providencia Township church yard, by the Addams Family Institute. Ye Olde MRC/Rowa malley can still put in a good day's work, thanks to BULLFROG SNOT. Can your antiques do this?
Old Mallet can still haul freight - with BULLFROG SNOT
มุมมอง 34813 ปีที่แล้ว
Rolling thru the coal country village of Gehenna and the small shelter station, here's the old MRC/Rowa Y-6 Mallet, with the original early 70's factory motor. Can still keep it's place on the Shortbuck RR working roster with a few mods and some BULLFROG SNOT. That's a CNJ boxcab diesel now doing MW service, along with a RDG bobber caboose.

Just a little permanent hearing damage, as a treat :)

Don't eat it. Tastes like worms.
You don't "install" this.....You "apply" it.
Will this work on DC Marklin Z scale? Would it cut the power ?
The girl: Look at all the attention i'm getting! The guys: Shes a beaut, 392 hemi you say?
Cool video that looks like the marcellus and borscht winged express in the left rear background?
I don't know which is more pleasing....the music of that 392 or the big ol' grin on the wheeler's face!! I know guys who can't do a cackle without a respirator. Well done, girl!!

Along with The Winged Express in the background. How could you not enjoy this? :)
Will it fit in my 300c?
Fucking *NASTY* sounding!
Brings back memories of all of the time I spent at O.C.I.R. Less than a mile form my house is a early Hemi with that has never been on the street or a race track anywhere.

Beautiful slingshot fueler. The cackle of this 392 nitro hemi is sweet music! Also noticed the Marcellus and Borsch Winged Express in the background. How cool!

Is she wild and radical like the cam in that motor? Music to my ears. I remember well the 392" hemi years long ago when a 1200 h.p. motor was the norm. Then it was 1800 h.p. followed by about 2500. The last funny car race I saw had cars that ran 3500 h.p.!
Drivers smile says it all.
...and God said 'put bicycle wheels on the front.'
I bet after she got out her panties whould stick to a wall! ☺🤗🤣

If I'm not mistaking I think that car was ran in the early 70ds by jack McCloud and his brother And I think it was named the pocher
Bought this product recently but I cannot get it to work on my N guage engine. I have used toothpicks, cocktail sticks and a very fine paintbrush. It took several coats to gain any traction and then it was uneven. Probably much easier on OO gauge where the tyres are thicker.
What consistency is this stuff supposed to be in the jar? I had all kinds of issues trying to get it to apply, it kept glopping off the toothpick in globs that wouldn’t smooth out into a consistent even coat. Wound up having to wait a couple of minutes till it started turning dark green and then scrape it off. Tried slower, and still no luck. Do I need to go much faster perhaps? I was at 33% throttle which is about a scale 10-12 mph.
What on earth is BULLFROG SNOT?
Its awesome is what!
With those Model Power 4-4-0s, do you put Snot on all four drivers or just two of them so the remaining drivers are available for picking up electricity? Or does Snot conduct electricity?
I have a Lionel O-gauge 2-4-2 locomotive and this stuff didn't go on easily at all. I tried applying it with a toothpick and the snot just didn't want to stick to the wheel. It kept flinging it off and, yes, I was applying it in the right direction with the wheels rotating away from the toothpick. I finally got some glopped on and smoothed out some with it powered up. It's still curing, so the jury's still out on how it will work. All in all, I was pretty disappointed at what a pain in the ass (and mess) it was to apply when it's supposed to be so "easy".
Nothing & I mean nothing sounds like a Hemi on nitro! You can keep you big & small block chevys , FE fords etc..... mopar !!!!!!
cacklers forever!!!!!
Following the same (above video) instructions, our Berkshire with worn off traction tires is working great with the snot. Bullfrog Snot appears to be a good and useful product. Thank you.
Newbie here: Looks impressive! But how does he get the wheels spinning in the cradle? What's the power source, and what are the alligator clips connected to (on the power source and the train)? Re: My Lionel 8641 engine. Would be nice to have pictures of that part of the process.

Absolutely evil sounding machine, NITRO RULES!!!!!!
I love the 2 stroke sound, its most likely loop charged through the valves with blower and 1:1 ratio cam with intake/exhaust opened for scavenging. I'm going with an aluminum 572 block for my 2 stroke project.
what the heck are you talking about? This is no two stroke

This video shows the application of Bullfrog Snot to both sides of the locomotive. However on a bend, one side of the locomotive has to slip, otherwise tension is built up in the axle with one wheel travelling slower on the inner rail than the one on the outer rail. This could cause a driving wheel to rotate on its axle and, for steam locomotives, lock up the motion. I am applying Bullfrog Snot on just one side of my locomotives. The video is very useful in demonstrating application technique.
