Welcome to Little Piece of Heaven Farm.
I'm Faron and my wife Cheryl. We have 10 acres in Oregon.
Currently on our farm we have Goats, Llama, Sheep, Miniature Horses, Quarter Horse and Chickens. We are owned by two dogs, Cinnamon and Raven, and a barn cat, Dillinger.
Over the years, we built a veggie gardens, fruit gardens, and a mini orchard. We preserve our harvest by canning, freezing and dehydrating. Of course, eating fresh from the gardens. Also couple greenhouses.
We are slowly remodeling our 1910 home. So far, we have updated the wiring, installed heaters (as the house had no heat source), updated the windows, and currently remolding the kitchen.
We decided to create a TH-cam channel to share what we do on our farm.
Please feel free to comment on our videos, subscribe, like, share and hit the bell.

What happened to my Banana Plant and Planting Potatoes
Thank you! After hours of sweating and nothing worked, this did.
This is exactly what is happening to my tomato, it affects the leaves not the fruits but at the end the whole plant turned brown and dies.
Hopefully mine won’t to brown and die. Right now, it just grows and setting fruit, so far aways.
Help LOl LOL LOL. I don't have a juice machine can I just chop them up and boil them and then put it in a nut bag to strain out the juice?
I don’t see why not. There’s many ways of juicing and the way you want to do it is one of many.
How do you preserve Kiwi fruit?
I make juice out of it, there is a video in my Juice playlist.
That solenoid lets fuel into the carb when the switch is <ON> but cuts off fuel to the carb when the generator is off regardless of the fuel on/off valve so you need to leave the switch at the <ON> for a few seconds to allow time for the fuel to flow pass the solenoid to fill the carbs, then after the 20 seconds, press start and it should run fine. I found out the hard way that those generators need the battery to start otherwise the solenoid won't open to provide fuel
Just found your channel and love it!
Awesome, Welcome aboard.
$2.14!! 🤯
Maybe you could cut the steaks first, then trim them. Might be easier? Good video. I'll be heading to the Chef store soon.
Yes it would, Thanks.
Safe travles keep your eyes to the sky
Thanks, will do.
Yes, mine was in the attic for 20 years. Store upright, as the gauge cardboard has laid over in the path of the needle, but I don't think it will bother anything today. Will lay it the other way this time... Well, can't believe the label behind the gauge needle is cardboard and it has warped, stops the needle. So, big fail today, will try to take it apart when cools, else will buy a new gauge for 20 bucks. Nice to know I can upgrade to the weight system for another 40, but holding off for now. Very disappointed that cardboard isn't painted aluminum. Ah, was able to pry off gauge cover and push back, good enough.
Nice harvest! Makes my mouth water for some fresh garlic and shallots. 😋
i must say looks yummy.
So good!
Looks delicious! I’d like to multiply the recipe and can a bunch up. Thanks for sharing!
Pulled Pork in the pantry, awesome.
Worked like a dream! Thank you!!!
This looks yummy! Can I use metal canning lids with this and a water bath canner?
Yes
I have a problem with the wavlink wifi Repeater AC 1200, when I want to turn it on, 2 blue LEDs from the power turn on and off, the power LED and the signal LED, i.e. LED 1 and LED 6, and the green LED from the poe converter also lights up it also turns off. the above mentioned LEDs turn on and off at the same time. I tried to reset it but it doesn't reset... if you could help me... thank you
Thats a new one for me. Only thing I can think of, it may not be connected to your router. I know on mine, if it's not connected to a router, some of the lights will not come on. Sorry, not much help......
@@LittlePieceofHeavenFarm Thank You...
That looks absolutely delicious! Love your cooking! 🤟
Thanks
How to videos like this is what makes youtube the best video platform 👍🏿
It’s been miserable in Texas. 115° real feel. We are a little cooler this week. Just holding on until October for the cool down. We have misters for our chickens and I also freeze milk jugs, however I take them out wrapped in a towel and the girls curl up next to them. My tomatoes have been gone for a month. Maybe a few cherry tomatoes. If it had fruit set they will continue to ripen. I know this is a lot for you guys. We were just out there two weeks ago to visit family. It was beautiful weather.
I’m hoping for a cool down soon, maybe some rain, it’s very dry out here and we are in fire watch. Stay Safe.
Very much appreciate the video. Well done - Carry on ... ^v^
I know what you mean about the heat brother, it's been brutal here too in south Georgia. Your garden looks great for what it's been through and hope you all have a blessed week.
It's rare for us to get 100 plus temps around here. Especially several days in a row. Stay safe and have fun.
I love these type video as history is one of my favorite subjects. Thanks for sharing and hope you have a blessed weekend.
Same here, I love watching videos on history and I’m glad I was able to share what I visited, if you’re in the area, the Museum is highly recommend.
This was so helpful! I inherited one just like this and will be using soon! Thank you so much! ❤
Thanks for this video! I try to reuse my lids at least 1 more.. but sometimes run into denting them with a bottle opener
Those look like they’d be good for a pot luck!
Awesome Idea.
Looks delicious! I’m glad you guys are enjoying yourselves. You deserve it! 😊💕
Oh yea, loven life.
Wouldn't this only fix if the electric start wasn't working? How about the pull start? The generator would have started regardless if that solenoid was faulty or not, right? Im just trying trouble shoot mine. -Champion 9375/7500W -Sit for 2 years with full tank - Wont pull start or electric start -Im hoping bad/old gas?
Sat for two years, I would change out the gas. Electric or Pull start - Either way, the solenoid has to work to provide the correct fuel that you selected, Gas or LP. Sometimes the solenoid gets stuck in LP, by tapping the solenoid, it'll un-stuck the solenoid into Gas Mode, then should start in Gas Mode.
@@LittlePieceofHeavenFarm so I just went out and did the solenoid tapping. Started right up via electric start. I ran it for 10-12 minutes. Killed the run switch and went to go start it again. Now nothing. What a pain in the butt. Should the solenoid have to be tapped on every time now in order to get it to turn over?
@@TheJeepWheeler No, once tapped and starts, it should work every time you electric or pull start in Gas Mode. If you went to LP then back to gas, it could be stuck again. When you turned it off, did you switch it back on ? Other than that, I’m not sure why it won’t continue to electric or pull start. Should stay in stuck.
@@LittlePieceofHeavenFarm maybe the wife and I will head back out later. Yeah the ignition switch was turned back on. I'm not sure why it wouldn't turn back over 🤔
Thank you for this interesting tour.
I was setting up to take my carburetor apart...where's my hammer?! That there is the old-fashioned way of fixing things. Fixed the TV many times years ago by whapping the side of it when nothing else would bring in a clear picture.
I love waterfalls, thanks for sharing. Love that Rainbow.
Oregon is loaded with waterfalls
I believe Ocean City Boardwalk is better than Wildwood Boardwalk.
I would have to agree.
Awesome Ferry ride. No need to see the inside, just chairs. The awesome view is outside.
Thanks for sharing your trip to the Island. Nice to see you guys saving the horseshoe crab. Your dog sure loves the ocean.
How beautiful! It’s a little jewel in the Atlantic. Thanks for sharing!! 💕
It was nice to see the wild horses run free. Here in Oregon, we have wild Mustangs in Eastern Oregon.
Stay safe in Wildwood. Teenage gangs out of control.
Guess we got lucky or they were afraid of us. Seen no gangs of teens out of control.
A tour of the inside of the ferry would have been nice
Yes, you’re right. It’s just chairs with a dinning room and on top there’s a bar.
I really wish someone would start making glass lids again I think superb would be the excellent choice for that
Thank You for your Fine effort to share your expertise on this! -REALLY- appreciated and I understand much more! I say this because we can always buy a part but that is the EASY part. Installation IS ALWAYS the hard part and you solved that! So, nothing but the best to you!.
Thanks. So true, buying parts is easy, installing them not always easy as not all parts come with instructions. I just took my time installing the cup holder. Patience is key.
I always buy bone-in whole ribeye, then cut the ribs off leaving a little extra meat on them and use the ribs for other meals ......Delish
Awesome
I am glad you and Cheryl got to go on your vacation. I bet it was a wonderful time away. I find it interesting how much your garden changed within that week, how everything bolted. I have a question… When something bolts, does that mean that the plant is done for? I realize that means it goes to seed. When you say that your asparagus bolted and he showed all that immense growth, are you able to cut the seedy stalk parts down? Will you still be able to harvest asparagus? I remember hearing that sometimes things turn bitter after certain plants go to seed. I’m certainly not somebody that would cry if you had to put a deer or two into freezer camp. Nobody better cast any judgment your way when that time comes. 😊👍 Thank you for the video. It always seems like I’m learning something every time you guys come on. ~Sharon from Florida
Once the plants bolt (going to seed) the plant is not very good tasting, lettuce gets bitter, Swiss chard gets woody. The radishes, beets gets hard and woody, etc. Asparagus, I could cut it all out and see if it’ll regrow for another harvest, haven’t tried that. The way I see it, if Deer eats my food, they become food. I have plenty of grass in my so called back 40 they can eat.
Thank you... did a few taps, and it cranked right up. Tried my PM cycle in the spring and it would just turnover without starting. Was preparing to tear down the carb and clean it out, fortunately I found your video prior to.
Really wish Samsung actually taught and acknowledged this problem instead of referring everyone to a certified technician. The certified tech in my area don't know this stuff. My last stove Frigidaire was able to be adjusted after the LP orifices were properly installed then I had to do this screwdriver trick against all professional advise. Now with the Samsung I Can NOT turn the screw. I think I'm going to have to tear the entire stove apart. So frustrating to buy a new stove an can not leave it unattended and they refuse to admit the problem.
100% Agree
I don’t see where there is anything that isn’t cannibal in this recipe and it’s thin enough I don’t see why it wouldn’t be an approved recipe. If it was just tested. Also, if you wanted to eliminate the white sugar completely I bet you could do 12 teaspoons of honey and 4 teaspoons of molasses maybe I’ve got some half-and-half honey molasses. I might try that.
Oh yes, honey and or molasses could easily replace white sugar. Yes, anything can be canned, just use common sense. Some items are not approved for whatever reason. I can them anyways.
OK, so I had to hunt these down the videos I mean now I have to go hunt down the glass lids because I might be obsessed It really be interesting to know if anybody is still making them.
Oh, you found the video, awesome. Far as I know, no one is making glass lids for canning. All my lids and rubber seals are vintage, and you can find them at the Antique stores, E-Bay and Esty. As to the rubber seals, you can find some new ones made for wicking (?) be careful, the sizes can be off a bit.
OK, I’m new to your channel but I’m loving it. Do you have a video where you talk about the glass lids? I’ve never used them or seen them in person. And I am definitely going to be putting this recipe to use.

Absolutely beautiful! I love how the falls makes a rainbow. What a gorgeous area to take a vacation. Seeing I’m in NH I doubt I’ll ever get out that way, so thanks for letting me see it through your videos. 😊 Enjoy your day! 💕
I think the flowers are trilliums. Thanks for the video.
Yes
Thanks for the tour. We’ve had crappy weather here in Saskatchewan and I’m behind in my planting.
