No real huge latency issues no, just not as tight as my squarp hapax for sequencing other gear(I have a lot!). As for the modwave, yes it was a 8 bar sequence I made with squarp hapax triggering the modwave. I recorded that into the DT and used it as 8 bar loop. Thanks for watching!

When in mute mode(func+trk), If you hold function then select multiple tracks to mute or unmute, when you let go of func it will commit it. Its a good way to do big sets of mutes unmutes at once. Look at the top of the screen when I hold func and do multiple. It will tell you which are in the queue. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the kind words! As for sampling synths I do both. Mostly I do loops because I like to sample in with other external FX because the FX on the DT 2 are not the greatest and they get used up quick. But I also will just record the notes and then play lines on the DT with them. Mostly close to the root note I sampled because if you get too far from the sampled pitch it can get too fast or slow. I wish the DT had better ways to handle multi-samples like an MPC keygroup for instance, because then that pitch issue wouldn't be an issue. If I really needed to bypass that issue I could do a few more samples of notes and use multiple tracks on DT for the different pitches. Maybe do like 3 to 4 samples of notes spread across the frequency spectrum. Hope that helps!

Thanks for watching. :) Its mostly because the DT doesn't have latency compensation so I don't opt to sequence anything with it when I have the hapax. The hapax does have compensation and Its a more robust sequencer in general. Many devices have this issue but none of the companies that make these devices address the issue. Its usually a subtle latency depending on the device you are sequencing, but its an issue if you want super tight timing. Your daw for instance, has this feature, because its necessary. Hapax has been my main sequencer for synths for a long time too so I just keep it for that. If the DT implemented compensation I might use it instead. I did ask for the feature request from elektron but I doubt they'll address it. MPCs and akai force also have this issue. And yes i'm a bit obsessive about tight timing lol.

Yeah its not a finished track by any means, was just quick and dirty recording(1 stereo track capture) of a real time jam on a pattern I made. Might proper finish the track someday. yes this particular session was using goldbaby sounds. The native drum engines are great on the AR as well.

I sync the Rytm to the midi clock from the daw and then the LXR gets synced from midi clock from the Rytm. The analog 4 gets synced from the LXR midi clock and the modular gets CV clock from the analog 4. Then the mopho x4 is just playing a midi clip from the DAW (bitwig studio). Hope that helps! :)

Thanks man. :) For this one all the Rytm sounds were actually 909 and 606 gold baby samples from an SPL 1200 loaded in and tweaked with the voice filter and overdrive circuit but yes the Rytm native synth engine can do VERY fat kicks as well! :)

Mark Sweeney IMO Roland TR-8 is plenty fat, but of course you can use some light compression, and maybe a little distorted. I would not process in a DAW however if you could avoid it, defeats the point of using the tr-8. I would if you have an OT, do live resampling, or use the effects chain, or if you have any other hardware or effects, run it through those for effects or whatever. But the TR-8 is meant to be natural, and have quirks, the sound is meant to react to the sounds around it. By sampling you lose a bit of that naturalness. i.e. the wierd hihat sounds when played on the same note as a closed hat.
