I know some people, used to be friends, who are lost and broken in their life and hurt their loves ones because of it (Unhappy marriage, cheating, unstable jobs, affairs, financial problems, literally no future or prospects, more drama...). They created a yearly event where they can do and be whatever they like without anyone judging because all the people that go there have issues, so they find support in each others misery. Some don't even sleep or only for for a few hours throughout the weekend because they don't want the event to end, because on Monday they have to go back to reality. They describe it as THE time of the year for them. I used to go there now and then but talking with the people there and with the organizers, founding out what horrible things they do to their loves ones and themselves made me realize this event is exactly like described in this video, the tea party. It's scary, it's sad, it's misery. I never saw the reason why people go there every year, calling it THE happening of the year, for me it was just fun but never felt the need to put a countdown timer on like some of them do. But if you go to an event to drink yourself in coma because your life sucks then you are just done with your life. Goddamn. This video is hard but an eye opener. I tried to tell one of them his actions hurt other people and he is holding other people who WANT a proper life on the same low level as his'. Now this person banned me from the event because I've put a mirror in front of his nose. They don't like to face their misery so they prefer to hurt others instead. This is exactly the control he wants like explained in the video.

For context, the book was written during the height of the industrial revolution when change was being forced on people at a rate never witnessed before. This was the first generation to live under the tyranny of the clock as previously people had worked according to the seasons, the weather and tradition. Now, large scale industries demanded people to work to strict schedules and to picture their lives in hours, minutes and seconds, an unnatural way to live which made the dread of inevitable death seem worse.

I like to think I'm not the person who goes down rabbit holes but cant deny that we are all in Wonderland anyway. May explain why I'm fairly reclusive. I can socialize no problem but only fleetingly because I see everyone grabs to things like belief structures, stereo type social norms that seem so repetitive and uninteresting on the lighter note to downright repulsive on the heavier notes. If you watch how the mermaids are harassing and trying to drown Wendy he's laughing at first till he relized they wherent playing. She began to grow up and see all her fantasy about neverland was wrong after that. It turned her off quickly. Till she was ready to go home. Tinker bell hated her. Was jealous of her.
