What's the spellbook used for? You said you gotta break the habit of taking it out, but why even take one in the first place? Is there some spell that you like to use with extra power?

I was running at a sorcerer yesterday with my ranger, was shooting at him decently and I think he was quite down on HP. He was running thru a door, I was running after him but the moment I arrived at the door he came out and one-shot me with whatever spell I cannot even tell because I was just dead instantly. Full HP to dead in less than a second and I did not even saw receiving damage, it really was just full HP to instant death... how in the world is this possible, nor even to mention, is that meant to be balanced. Just to mention, he was at 4 HP when I checked the death cam. 😆 But hey, its a new class, they will hopefully balance it soon enough thou.

i feel ur pain , i switched to claw grip a long time ago too , well i would say only takes like a few days to get used to but its really fun to play with claw grip

Every class on release has been broken, Warlock, Druid and now Sorcerer. It will get nerfed into the ground, and then buffed to a strong spot before going through a series of nerfs/buffs like the other 2.

before this class I thought the devs just hated magic, turns out its just wizard they hate lol. Might actually have to try the game again with this. Question: Would Firepillar and Levitate (on an enemy) be busted? like holding them over a bbq?

If you wanna fight panther druids literally just use Lightning Sphere and perhaps Stone Skin

Lightning storm is crazy but super buggy, wont go off and puts both spells on cooldown.

Does the spellbook give any stats when you're casting with your hands?

I'm not sure which combo it is, but I've been getting hit for half my hp with one spell. I have 50% mdr (25% + anti magic). squire kit is doing over 50 damage through my 50% damage reduction... 100 damage un geared on a fast moving projectile is insane. and of course the cool down is like 3 seconds. I don't normally like to use heater shield on warlock, but if this doesn't get changed I'm going to be forced to. I can't believe that 50% mdr isn't enough.

You can "turn off" the perk that does -99% move speed by doing any "left click spellcasting" while holding a spell focus. Very useful for chasing

1:38 exact same thing happened to me. But without the 10 damage from windblast. 138 base damage is just too much for an instant cast spell. I build STR+VIG, i should not be getting 1 hit by any class.

Yeah the class is broken but the hardest counter is fighters with recurve or crossbow and rangers I've killed 6 sorcs so far with fighter recurve

Started the game less than a month ago. Played wizard because i love magic. Haven't mastered it. Wipe came. Plays sorcerer. Obliterated 😂 Maybe i gotta start playing barb before mastering some of the hardest classes

Needs a SERIOUS damage and cooldown nerf. Maybe get rid of the cooldowns overall. Unlimited spells with minimal cost is too insane
