@@acef_performance8416 I will thanks!! Great job on your videos!! Amazing work!!
Silicone plumbers tape for hose connections
Explain please
Great job i would not thought to use a cardboard box . Iv been scraping look for old furnace duct. But now im looking for a box . Thank you for the great idea.
Doing something similar, love to see it!
Lets see it
Awesome bro👍✌️👽🔥🚀
I want to do this to my sedan so bad, sweet build btw
Hi, how much are you looking at charging for this cover for the M54 engine, please? Also, would you ship to the UK 🇬🇧 please? Thanks, great video. I can't wait to see what you are doing with the finished look? We have an E46 330ci M Sport in Titan silver, so these would look fantastic. I already have the aluminium engine valve cover as you have in the video. Thanks again
Nice work man..keep doing this❤
Thanks ✌️please subscribe for more videos
Been waitin on this!
That looks really good man. I had an old crusty one but I just sold it on ebay. Maybe one day I'll get another and shine it up.
Nice job. I just had may head casket repaired and I've I new about the aluminum valve cover I sure would have bought one since I replaced my radiator with and Aluminum one and my antifreeze resivior tank with a aluminium one. I never though about Polishing a valve cover. That's going to look nice
Appreciate the comment, stay tuned for the next video dropping we are not done with the cover, also making the coil pack cover and polishing it, check it out
💪💪💪🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼👌👌👌
My guy 💪 appreciate the shout out ❤ keep up the good work man 💪
Watched like 5 videos and found your video instruction most helpfully. Just fixed it, thanks!

When you had that problem did you get any code ? My car is idling perfectly fine and drives fine until I try to fully accelerate my car is lacking lots of power. My current issue is that I’m getting lean code p0171, p0174…
Even if you have Lean code, i don't think you have a vacuum leak because when you have a vacuum leak computer will pick it up easily because it's at idel, and when you go full throttle a small vacuum leak is not noticeable by the computer since there is so much air incoming. Your symptoms are opposite, it's lacking power at full throttle, kinda sounds like it's your MAF sensor. Remember you have 2 codes for 2 banks so it's not an individual spark plug, or injector or an O2 sensor, 1 sensor wont affect both banks unless the sensor is shared, it's something that is shared such as the MAF it affects both banks
@@acef_performance8416 bros I really appreciate your feedback. This gonna help me a lot for sure 🙏🏻
You can try disconnecting the Maf then clear the code, the car will run fine with maf disconnected but you will get a code for maf but if your lean codes are gone I would say it's the maf
Bro, volume is very low couldn't here most of what you were saying
My bad bro, I know I need a microphone
Good vid. Hoping to see more good stuff like this. Also an enthusiast in e46 platform
@PhethiK please subscribe. Got some more videos coming also lots of old one but good one
Where are you located in the country, have you had issues getting smog with it relocated? Im in CA and looking to relocate it
I'm In California, the relocation looks factory, and it works so no issue
Thanks for the reply. I'm looking at relocating both the washer tank and SAP in the passenger side open cavity at the top of engine bay
@derekbellamy8040 yeah that would work, plenty of space
Love the mods that you did man… thanks for sharing this!
Thanks, glad i could help youout, I have many more videos check them out also please subscribe
Hey so my car has catalytic fuel trim issue, you think if I change the o2 will make a difference I change them like 2years ago Bosch one as well
What issue are you having exactly, hit me on my IG @lui328i
What kind of bit did you use on the Dremel? Any tps for getting clean edges I’ve tried a couple of times but not getting nice edges
No dremel. I use a small sander so it has more flat surface sanding for flat areas, for round area it’s a die grinder it’s a little bigger than a dremel also cuts faster but you need to be careful. And sometimes just some hand sanding
Thank you so much for sharing! This was great

Probably the best video for this job on TH-cam. You are the only one that actually showed how to take things apart. I was ready to give up before I found this video! Subscribed
Thank you and thank you again, I try to make sure my videos really explain the issue so it can help everyone, please subscribe and share
Hello, can you please tell me what is that electric motor you also removed before taking out that part, what is he controling ?
I believed it controls opening and closing of the vents or switch long from heater or AC
Thank you! Finally passed!
Happy to here this worked for you

Is the smog vacuum line only for California cars? My check valve doesn't have a vacuum port or a vacuum line coming out of it.
Not sure on that, I thought they all had it, but yeah this is Cali
older bmws have the vacuum port, newer ones don’t have a vacuum line going to the back of the manifold
How long did the coating last?
Still on there, 4 years so far
Right on that's great !@@acef_performance8416
My E46,2002,250Kmiles In order to fix P0171 (Bank#1)and P0174 (Bank#2) lean ( vacuum leak) The following, I replaced by myself: -Weak Gas pump -Broken fuel pressure regulator -Broken Gas Filter -Valve Cover gasket -Air-filter -Clean MAF -Clean 6 injectors -All vacuum hoses -New Air Inject Valve -New delay check valve The P0171 and P0174 have gone ! *** For READYNESS: I drew almost 2000 miles ( freeway and streets ) and patterns 2.1 minutes at Idle, 3 minutes at 20miles add accelerate to 50 miles for 5 minutes, deaccelerate to 20mile…, can not clear “Secondary Air Not Ready” I used OBD 2 to test Oxygen Sensors waveform shown: pulses switching from 0.2 to 0.9V , Pass … but cannot clear “Secondary Air Not Ready” The Dealer sells oxygen sensors cost $275 each (Upper stream Oxygen Sensors BMW Part# 11781742050), I bought Bosch $38 each but the electric plug is little bit bigger can not insert. I bought OEM BOSCH $18 (at Ebay )for two. After replacing, start engine at night ( Cold temperature) , Bingos! I was so happy could not sleep! Thank you for video Andrew Tran
PS , I reversed engineering, put oxygen sensors back one by one, I found the bank# 2 has marginal/ Intermittent problem (only 50Kmiles, supposed last longer)
You are very welcome, i am so glad this helped you. This is why i documented this video, I did a lot of online research to find just a clue, but it was worth a try. I had done everything else. I had recently replaced all intake gaskets and vac lines, I actually had no codes, it just wouldn’t go ready. you did everything correct to chase a lean or rich condition, according to your codes. But remember 02s control all fueling so it can create this situation. Please like, share, and subscribe.
This did not work on my car
What is the problem you are having
I cannot get my check engine light to turn off and I’ve replaced everything. Kombi valve, solenoid under dash, check valve behind the intake, checked for leaks, Even the 02 sensors before the cat you’re talking about. I’m having a P2770 code though being the secondary air Hot film air mass flow sensor which I’ve also changed 🤯 Please help
If you are trying to clear the light with a basic OBD2 scanner it will not clear, you need to use the laptop and software. Some e46s have a “check engine light” and some have a “service engine soon” not sure why bmw did this but I learned the the one with service engine have a combo thing where scanner will clear basic codes but for more in depth you need to use the software, it took me a while figure it out
My exact problem. I'm contemplating about replacing them. Should I? I'm having the same exact problem!
I this is definitely your problem, trust me
Thank you for this video. I had the exact same symptoms with my E46. There were no vacuum leaks, hoses were good, the secondary air pump appeared fine, and the secondary air monitor wouldn't set. My car has over 200K miles without changing the O2 sensors. I replaced the pre-cat O2 sensors and started up the car and let it idle for a few minutes. I turned the car off and rescanned the car. The secondary air monitor was set. Thank you.
Your welcome, I always try and share what I find out, especially thing like this where you can read up on it but nothing like seeing it live, please subscribe
Dude! Kudos for having the balls to post a video of your first time! A really nice video! I've been watching skinning videos before I tackle covering up the walnut trim in my G-Wagon... I don't want to make a costly mistake... But I also don't want to pay $4k for a completed set! I ordered all the stuff and will attempt it in the next few months! Thanks for your video!
I appreciate that! Just takes a little practice
Did you code the new injectors before starting the engine
I tuned the car for the supercharger, but no coding on my part
Did you pour or brush the epoxy resin ?
Poor it in a little then Just brush it in, pouring is more for flat flat surfaces, on these pieces it’s just going to fall off so don’t waste your materials
No gloves operation lol Cancer is real bro
I know I forgot, thanks
Thank you, I just ordered the tool and Bosch sensors for my 2005 325i as the registration with CA smog is due very soon. You made me a little nervous with the oil cap removed during the process.
If this is the problem you are facing it should work. Yeah not a good idea to have the cap off 😂
Great video. Speech is very clear. Thank you
Thank you, really appreciate it 🙏.also please subscribe
I’d use a plastic tool to pry on anywhere, where the paint is. Just because I’m tired of finding new rust spots that probably started from a little tiny rock chip. My OCD lol
Yeah plastic tool is better but I was being lazy
Amazing wire tuck!
Thanks
Thanks
No problem
Hey! i am supercharging a M52tub25 now with a MS42. Was there any problems tuning and flashing the Orignal ECU ? I have a Eaton M62 supercharger smaller pulley and a bigger Pulley on the engine. 870CC injectors and i was wondering are you still running the MS42 or Standalone and what changes did you do Cheers from Iceland hope you see this :D
I’m running the VF engineering tune just a straight flash no problems, but I believe this is just a copy and paste tune, probably very conservative, car runs great but I wouldn’t rather get a dyno tune to maximize the gains
@@acef_performance8416 Great thank you!!!!
Is there a specific type of resin for carbon fiber or can you also use resin for fiber glass? Sorry for the dumb question I am a noob.
This is resin is different from the one used for fiberglass this is clear when dry, the one for fiberglass is usually tan color
Keeping the e46 alive 🎉
Thank you for making this video! I need to try this because I have the exact same issue with my 330.
It should work, good luck
Do I have to disconnect the battery terminal (ground) before doing this?
No, not necessary
Nice looking e46. Job well done 👍🏽
Thanks 👍
beautiful car, you're lucky, because you understand mechanics
Yes, thanks
Nice video!
Thanks!
Can u put 330i injector on a 325??
Yes direct replacement
What do you use to cut those pipes at different angles
Just my grinder with a thin blade
@@acef_performance8416 Ahh I’ve been using an electric saw. What do you use for the angles?
I just eye ball everything, I’ve cut and welded for years. Practice make perfect
Even though we have different cars this helped me figure out which way the hose from the valve cover to intake goes out the valve cover and in the intake.
No problem always here to help, the concept is the same no matter the car. Please subscribe for more tips
