Holy shit lmao. I had to srive at at 3am with my phone on 7 percent when i turned the car on the radio wasnt working at all but the clock does. I pulled the fuse and pulled it back in and it worked!

It's an old post but may be help for new readers. I have same situation on 1.8 2009 burning 500ml oil every 5000kms oil change. Changed the PCV valve which was almost blocked or sticky less rattle. I was using liqui moly 5w30 oil I went through all possible leak points but could not rectify. Luckily one day I just plan to change Crank Position Sensor and found lot of engine oil on crank sensor then I came to know the oil reducing source was main/Centre rear seal leak. It turnout previous owner didn't replaced the PCV valve on time which created pressure in engine causing main seal leak but leak can only be discovered when crank sensor is removed.

The same thing happened to me with my girlfriends 93 del Sol I touch the black wire against the radio shell when I had the radio out and it sparked. So I’ll keep you posted when I get back to her house to see if this is the issue. Thanks 👍

So i did exactly this today - only i used Amsoil Multi Vehicle Power steering fluid , that you see in TheTheTurnerDudes video of his Wife's Altima (guy from Florida) , i used 1.5L/1.6quarts of fluid. 3/8 inner diameter (or inner hole ) Clear PVC hose (Princess Auto/ Harbor Freight , Lowes , Home Depot ) used a windshield washer fluid container to drain into. Hose was 0.53 - 0.89 cents a foot. Got a 3/8 Hose Barb (brass) at Home Depot $3.70 and a 3/8 clamp . I used 2.5 of these Amsoil bottles (473ML/16oz ) and bought 3 total, i probably could have only used two, but i only used 4 feet of hose, and was concentrating too much on the color of the fluid which was dark red, thinking it would go totally clear, and not noticing that inside the end of the container i used that the hose was draining clear-brown-honey colored fluid out. So i prob used half a bottle more than needed, but i'd still recommend getting three just in case . So 1.5Litres used or 1.6 Quarts aprox.
