I saw Marcus in 2022. He was excellent, as you can see. It was a matinee but still got an instant ovation at the end.

i really disliked deh before but andrew as evan makes a world of difference. the character is so much more believable and sympathetic, i feel like I actually get this musical now

I saw it in December 2019 with the main cast. So glad to see the alternate/cover guys as Evan and Connor, they are amazing as well. Westend DEH was one of a kind.

Okay as much as I don't like this movie, I will admit, this makes it more bearable cus I kinda didn't like how they toned down the song in the movie. This feels more right.

Something that I've never understood....maybe I'm mistaken...but, isn't the letter at the end, the same as the letter at the beginning? The Murphy's act like they'd never seen that letter before.

When I tell you I’ve been DYING to see his performance as Evan!! Thank you so so much! I wanted nothing more than to see him in person when it was announced he got the role, but that’s not a possibility for a lot of us for a number of reasons. I am seriously so grateful for you posting this. ❤️

I wanted to thank you for posting this Yours was the best video and audio quality i found I just watched the movie and could not stop crying throughout the movie The audience laughter here unfortunately seriously undermines the emotions of the story So i would not continue watching it But thank you 😊

wow....I didn't really like DEH before this.....but now I'm like, damn, maybe it IS a little good! This hits a little! Thing is, I really prefer Andrew Barth Feldman's Evan to Ben Platt. In this version, the character just makes so much more sense, and is way more sympathetic. I sort of feel like Ben Platt will sacrifice story beats for a good note or belt...whereas Andrew Barth Feldman isn't performing that way. Like, take the "If you're falling in a forest" section of Waving Through A Window. There's a moment where we can hardly hear him, where he's totally in his mind, consumed by anxiety...he HIMSELF is confused...Whereas Ben Platt makes that line real loud and clear in his Tony performance. Like, Ben Platt is making sure the audience knows it's an important line, giving us all this metaphorical wink. Anyway, sorry if that was harsh. I just feel like Ben Platt is such a performer...but in my book, vocal chops should always serve the story-and not the other way around! Okay, back to watching.
