Exploring the Majestic ULUWATU TEMPLE & Indonesia's TALLEST Statue at GWK CULTURAL PARK
After an amazing time in Komodo National Park we made our way back to Bali and stayed in Uluwatu for the last part of our journey to Indonesia.
Our adventure started at the stunning Uluwatu Temple, perched on a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean. It is said to have been built in the 11th century, and it remains an important site of worship for the Balinese people to this day.
One of the highlights of visiting the Uluwatu Temple is the traditional Kecak dance performance. This unique and captivating dance is performed by a group of of performers sitting in a circle, chanting and singing in rhythm while enacting a traditional Balinese story.
The Kecak Dance is performed at sunset, adding to the already magical atmosphere of the Uluwatu Temple. It's a truly unforgettable experience, and one that you won't want to miss!
From there, we headed to the Garuda Wisnu Statue at GWK (Garuda Wisnu Kencana) Cultural Park to see one of the tallest and most magnificent sculptures in the world. The statue depicts the Hindu god Vishnu riding Garuda, a mythical bird-like creature. The statue stands at an impressive 120 meters tall and is made of copper and brass. It's truly a sight to behold and a testament to Bali's rich cultural heritage.
The park, is also a sprawling complex that offers a glimpse into Bali's vibrant culture. The park features a range of activities, including traditional dance performances and art exhibitions. Visitors can also explore the park's lush gardens and enjoy the stunning views of Southern Bali.

I visited south Lombok in 1989 - yes, in 1989 - and it was out of the beaten track for real. I’m glad to see it still, kind off, is.
Lombok is already touristy by Indonesian standard....Go check Kei, Anambas or Morotai....it is beautiful yet empty 😅

Hi Alan, great video! Just wondering, what month you were travelling through Ubud, and how much rain you guys encountered whilst there?
Thank you for watching 🤙 This was in July and it rained 4 out of the 6 days we were there, but was manageable. Mostly in early morning and late afternoon/early evening.

Did u like Gili T or Lombok more? I love being able to get around by foot bc we are a fam of 5 🤪 Kuta + the Gilis look perfect 👌
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video 🙏 Hope you enjoy KL. Thats a tough one, both were equally as good. Gili T is small and easily walkable while Lombok you'll need a motorcycle or driver (unless you plan to stay on the beach). If your looking for snorkelling, diving and wild nightlife then Gili T, and if your looking exploration, relaxation, amazing food, and pristine beaches then Lombok.

How did you arrange the guide and driver in ubud… can you share any contacts… we are travelling next month
We arranged ours through our Airbnb host beforehand. I would recommend talking to your accommodations as they can usually negotiate the best price. But our driver's name was Pak Ketut. Look him up on bali_beta_tour on instagram 🤙

Just visited Lombok a few months ago - LOVED IT! Especially the west coast! Wow! That place is going to ‘blow up’ over the next few years… it has all the ingredients to make a wonderful resort destination and if you want to see it BEFORE it turns into the next Bali… you better get there soon! See you there! I'll be living in Senggigi!

When did you guys visit Labuan Bajo? In which month? Is the package worth for non-swimmers as well?
We went in July (during the high-season) But i'm not gonna lie, the snorkelling was probably the one of the best parts and the guides also provides life jackets (if that is an option for you). All (except for 1 or 2 stops) to snorkel had beautiful beaches to lounge on as well, so i would say it is definitely worth it!
kuta mandalika is not so far from Mandalika International Circuit maybe someday you can try ride your bike there

Glad it helped 🙂We stayed on the Elvano but the boats change regularly so i would recommend reaching out to the operator directly and they'll send you an up-to-date pdf of boats to choose from (and more information about them). All of the boats were nice/clean but the prices vary on whether you want luxury or a basic and how much privacy you want for your cabin (shared or non-shared etc).

I did surf on selong belanak, and that was an amazing experience. The beach are so quiet and the sand is very soft also the sunset is so unreal!

I was at Mawun in October 2022. There was a 3ft trim of garbage the whole way along the beach. It was really sad. Same for Tanjung An beach. Pink beach in the south east near Ekas was amazing and the best snorkeling I have ever done.
Mawun beach has now been cleaned.
@@status.whatsa09 Has it? I was there on 7 March (4 weeks ago) and it was covered in trash with the locals sitting around a tree, amongst piles of trash.
Awesome stuff Alan I went to both Lombok and Bali, and personally loved Lombok more. I did the Gili Islands from Lombok as a day trip when I stayed in Senggigi Beach area. South Lombok beaches are awesome and been to all of them in the video as well Tanjung Aan Beach as well.

Today.. Lombok is uderrated destination in Indonesia.. But few years later when the Infrastructure has finished.. It will be popular destination beside Bali
