Great to watch the game with original commentary. Familiar names on the floor for both teams. Wish the second half was here, too. Watching ☘️ Larry Legend move without the ball is a highlight in itself.
Thank you for original broadcast and commercials and ….. newsbreak!!!
my Celts!
You guys know exactly what LeBron James would do in this era.. and it would be much worse than what he did in his.. ima leave it at that.
That steal by Bird to Rodman tells you anything you need to know about him. Amazing.
❤️ tommy heinsohn super great basketball player, coach& broadcaster very sad bill Walton passing
Pistons didn't need to play hockey. They were an excellent team without all the physical beat down stuff. Even still this is far more drama fueled than today's product.
Loved 80's basketball
37 years ago, this brings tears to my eyes because it was when both my parents were alive and sitting and watching these Celtic games with them, brings back memories of them I'm sure there's plenty of other people reading this that can relate, love you Mom and Dad , miss you both still!
30 years passed and i cant suffer to see ht Pistons winning the Celtics. Just i cant.
37yearsgo My God time flys bye so fast ! 65 stop the world and let me off will ya! Im tired of going round and round !.
Thanks
Excellent
❤️ 1980s nba basketball
Roberts was not good.
With 58 seconds remaining in the 4th quarter, Charles Barkley hit the biggest shot of his entire career. If he had missed that shot then Phoenix gets bounced in the first round and Charles Barkley never gets to play in an NBA Finals series. In my opinion that was the biggest clutch shot he ever hit under the circumstances!
3:03 Quinn was AMAZED by that layup by Dumas! 🤣
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉memories of basketball❤❤❤❤
Wow, this broadcast, the commercials, nostalgia personified. Wish the Celtics would have put the Pistons away in this game. Was that truck only $6,590????
The game is great, the commercials are stellar
37:25- Isaiah should make ASMR videos!! 😂😂😂😂 Seriously... His voice is angelic. 😂
34:13 Bird steal and assist to McHale. 35:48 Replay
This is when the NBA was the NBA.
back when it was AMERICAN basketball, instead of pure trash we see nowadays. the only similarities from this era was Howard Cosell's toupee versus LebrownJames' wig =D lmao
I hated Isaiahs stupid victory dance. He looked like a Pussy.
I've been trying to find the game that they played James Brown - The Payback. As an intro
Needed Walton
Heinsolm said it was a great game..., actually it was.
Lamidiot did his job commercials r Kool,Rodman a normal human being
love thisssssss
For all of you that lined the commercials GET A LIFE!! 😂😂😂😂💩💩💩💩
worst call of the game....all !!!!
Love this kinda of basketball
Partly heartwarming to see this, when it was truly THE LEAGUE. It was highly competitive and smart. You knew you were watching professional basketball. Hated Dick Stockton and Tom Heinsohn though. They both were heavily biased toward Boston and acted like the Pistons should be happy to be there. They weren't really in touch with the play on the floor.
I saw it differently. I thought Heinson went out of his way, to be tough on Boston, and not show his bias. As for Dick Stockton, he's exactly like every other play by play announcer in history. Whoever the home team is, he's for. Stockton wasn't quite as bad as others, but still showed way more enthusiasm for the home boys.
Absolutely. It killed Stockton to see the Pistons or any team beat Boston in the post season. He & Heinsohn were so flagrant with their bias during one other Boston series that my brother called CBS in disgust. The person who took the call said unfortunately, there were a LOT of people complaining to them about Stockton & Heinsohn’s announcing at the time.
When defense was real
37 years later and laimbeer still sucks!
You swallow
Bill lambeer is in basketball hall of fame, very sad of bill Walton my hero
Do you have game 2 of this series that you can upload?
With all the respect to Boston, a team coming off an all time dominant season in 86, they were withering slowly at this point. Their home court was the only thing keeping them afloat in this series. Detroit was running them off the floor at the Silverdome. Pistons were way fresher and younger overall at this point. It's not just age but the accumulation of years of May and early June basketball that ages a team even faster. In any other era absent two championship icon teams led by two championship icon players, Detroit wins 3 and maybe even 4 titles. By 91, Detroit knew how Boston was feeling in 87, and 88. Gave way to a younger, fresher, and probably hungrier Chicago team.
When basketball was a man game
Just one word, CHIEF!!!!
Do you have game 2
Lambeer dirty player
The refs wasn't calling fouls the refs help the Celtics slow down the game when it's in Boston they call fouls to slow down the game
Could you say that in english
@@michaelfrechette654😂
Fantastic upload! Thank you.
Man today's players are soft af. 😂🤣😂🤣

Jeff George's only career win as a Washington starter.
