excuse my dumb question, for a person that is suffering from severe varicose veins and you have to perform phlebectomy on multiple veins vessels, can a person develop insufficient oxygenation to certain tissues around the leg ? or would that even matter because they are veins and not arteries? just curious

I was told for this phelebectomy it's under general anesthesia and it is done in a hospital. And that I need an EKG done before. I still don't understand why it has to be under anesthesia?

Do you know anyone that does these near Scranton Pennsylvania. That has experience with vein procedures. Thre is just hospitals. I had a procedure scheduled in 2021 but because of the amount if time off i held off. That was in aug i got a letter in ict saying surgeon was closing his practice. He moved to Florida. Left everyone scrambling for someone. I waited 6 months to see a vascular surgeon at a hospital. And then a minth after seeing him fot another letter saying he was leaving the hospital to refer me to someone else. What are the chances of that!? I feel hopeless.
