I always hear this camera referenced for “beginners” but I’ve been considering it. I’m more in the intermediate-been-too-cheap-to-upgrade strata haha; would this still be a worthy purchase? (Wildlife primarily)

Good video. I haven't used my kitlens since I went ahead and bought the Sigma lens. I believe it is well worth the money (depending on your financial stuation ofcourse), so my views align with yours. The Sigma is my main do-it-all lens, I'm shooting family stuff, some landscape and some street photography with it with nice results time after time. You can even do some almost-but-not-quite-macro shots because of the generous minimum focus distance and the nice 2.8 aperture....

Just got r10. What is the best zoom lens?

What do you think how well Canon R7 in-body image stabilization compensates the lack of lens own image stabilization? I planning to use this mostly on videos.

Did you find you had to adjust gain levels. Recoding onto an iPhone 15 pro and mine sounds very low and maybe worse than the internal iPhone one

Canon R10 also has in-built multiple exposure option.. Great quality video 4K.. I would like to see how 10bit video mode works against 8bit and how you work with picture profiles and editings.. Also how the 24mm IS works with the camera to stabilize handheld footage, walking etc.. Im asking to much😅 Nice adition and you can share batteries with M6 and M50

Im debating on whether to get this or 18-55 f2.8 by canon, its a tough choice 😥

A year later: I bought the MKE 400 recently because it is more compact than the others in its class. Out of the box, I was not impressed by the plastic switches and the output peaking just under -12 db for voice; there's no fine adjustment, so you're stuck with that, a jarring +20, or a barely audible -10. The auto-on/off doesn't work on my GH6 unless I use the setting sending power to the mic. The point of a powered mic is NOT to send power from the camera. The mic puts out self-noise at a just barely acceptable level on the normal setting and unacceptable at the +20 setting. The sound quality is kind of muffled, too, lacking sibilance. Listening to your audio, I have to wonder if I got a bum unit! It sounds like you EQ'd or compressed or adjusted the volume in post or something.

How it’s performed compared to the canon m6 mark ii?

I'd be interested in hearing people's thoughts on the comparison between this lens and the Canon RF-S 18-150. I have the Canon lens, and I'm wondering if the Sigma lens has such greater IQ within its range as to be worth giving up the advantages of the Canon lens: much greater range, and IS.

hello! i just noticed this is an older video but i was cleaning out my house the other day and found this exact camera and it was my dad's camera 🥹 i was wondering what brand of batteries did you use? i put in some random AA batteries around the house (which do work on my remote and all) but it said i had to change the batteries

I still use my Sigma 17-50mm EF on my Canon RP. The decrease in resolution due to the 1.6x crop is almost never an issue. Love the low-light performance and contrary to popular belief, the Canon RP is actually very good even at 12800 ISO.

$600 is not really an expensive tripod. Take a look at Really Tough Stuff...the cheapest is over $1000

It sounds like you're saying it's really an RF-S mount rather than an RF? Is that right? Using an RF-S on a full frame will result in a cropped in shot. Am I missing something here or are you just saying that it's an RF mount?
