Romans 1:19-20 Since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
I believe God has made himself and his glory evident in his creation, and it glorifies Him when we enjoy it. I hope you'll join me for adventures! Thanks for watching and God bless!

Glad you had a great trip! The colors are amazing! We are backpacking the Twin Arches this weekend!
Brilliant video. What a nice idea for hiking and camping looks ideal to me.
Thanks for the encouraging words! We all had a great time, and the colors were amazing! Thanks for watching!
This is undoubtedly my favorite video so far!!! Beautiful colors and hiking trail and all in one day and night. I am curious? How did you get the pulley up in the tree? Group camping with friends by a campfire is the best!! Thank you for sharing this video-along with an ad for Altra shoes for hiking. 😊❤
@@deannamills9022 Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! As for the pulleys, they are already there at every campsite in the Smokies to prevent bears from getting your food. Thanks for watching!
How does the tarp cover it? Seems like it would have to be much larger because the pad spreads out widthwise? It looks great. Love how it swings head to feet like a swing, rather than a cradle.
@@belindaguerette4249 With the way the ridgeline is on the tarp, the foot end is longer to cover the hammock. I will try and do a short on the tarp in the near future. Thanks for watching!
Finally, someone who isn’t meticulous over every ounce of weight saving and just wants to enjoy the outdoors! Great video.
I agree, comfort and quality takes priority for me! Thanks for the encouraging words!
Ive slept in a hammock in my home the past 4 years. Have double and triple size....bigger the better. No more back pain. A XXL Yucatecan hammock is the best. Stay cool in summer and warm in winter
I also slept in only a hammock for a while and my back felt amazing! Thanks for watching!
I have had one of these for three years now and it is my go to. It is without a doubt the most comfortable way to sleep outdoors.
@@jonhughes4550 I couldn’t agree more! Thanks for watching!
You're right obviously Amok is so unique & please wish me luck because I'm seriously looking forward to get mine. Because you've not mentioned it in your very nice video but is not really cheap but if someone knows the value of such product it totally worth it!
@@BybycheKaby I can’t wait for you to get it, you won’t regret it. I think k it will quickly become a favorite! You are right, I completely forgot to talk about price. If you have any questions once you get it, don’t hesitate to comment on this video and I’ll be glad to help. Thanks for watching!
Awesome info: definitely did a lot of research re: this AMOK sleep system. Happy hiking!!
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Admittedly the Amok Draumr is very popular but I still went with the Haven XL. The overal setup of the Draumr looks just too cumbersome and I didn't want to sleep on a seesaw either.
@@Roman-nu1om I see what you mean. It is actually surprisingly stable. The other perk about Amok is that they have a UL version for backpacking, where as Haven does not. Thanks for watching!
Too bad my hikes are mostly above treeline.
@@drytool There is a way you can set it up on the ground, but it’s definitely not the same. Thanks for watching!
@@ShavanoOutdoors Looks like a comfy system!
The sleep best system
@@lukasBe77 I agree! Thanks for watching!
@@ShavanoOutdoors dude read my comment. if u put it in the same colour thats how u read it 🤯🤯
@@lukasBe77 I’m not sure I follow what you’re saying. What do you mean same color?
@@lukasBe77 Ok, I think you were talking about the thumbnail. I’ll try to fix it.
Saw too much of you, not enough of the product. I'll look it up somewhere else.
That’s the beauty of living in a free country, you can choose who you watch. Thanks for still watching!
Looks comfortable. With my tent and western mountain sleeping bag I am at 6lbs but I am warm and comfy
@@SurvivalSavvvy It is very comfy! Thanks for watching!
Thx you man you respond to my question about to replace the hiking poles by tree branch 👍
@@silverback4434 Glad that was helpful! Thanks for watching!
I am 78 yrs old and I can't get out in the outdoors any more. ''Thanks for taking me along with you and for being my ''friend.''
I’m so glad I’m able to bring the outdoors to you! Thanks for watching.
As usual, really like the non-traditional items you introduced to your camping ventures. Looks like very important items to have when camping. Spices? Looks like you intend to do some serious non-traditional cooking when you camp! 👍👍😊 good informative video.
Thank you!
Great vid man
Thank you!
"This is not ultralight" dude i figured you got a chair 💀
Thanks for watching!
For me the UCO candle lantern is a traditional item. I have been using one of their brass ones since 1971 on every canoeing , backpacking and camping trip that I went and later will go on. It's a standard item that always goes.
That’s great! Thanks for watching!
I bring small lanturn, hunting stool, umbrella, handwarmers, garbage bags
Those are good items as well! Thanks for watching!
I’d watch a Shemagh for backpacking video.
Sounds good! Thanks for watching!
+1
Thanks!
Peg out the two diagonal corners 1st, & pull them taught, then peg 3 & 4 & they will automatically find a perfect 90 deg oblong pitch, every time......
I’ll try that next time. I Thanks for the tip and for watching!
I actually own the first hammock you displayed. I think it's a "Sun Year" brand. On my first trip in the woods, I got up in the middle of the night to go pee. When I hopped back in the hammock I got tangled in the bug net, the thing flipped and I spent about 20 minutes in total darkness trying to extract myself. :) I repaired the hammock and it's my #1 once again! :)
Haha, what an experience! Thanks for watching!
Nice video
Thank you!
Great video. Loved your camera angles on setting up the tent.
Thank you!
When one puts up that tent using your technique - one winds up very healthy from the sprinting that will be done, chasing the tent flying with the wind. ;)
Haha, I actually just set it up today in the wind and it wasn’t too bad. Thanks for watching!
Which mystery ranch backpack is that?
Never mind, you said it at the beginning of the video.
Thanks for watching!
That underwater shot was the bomb, showed the current you guys were hiking against while crossing.
Thank you! It was definitely a challenging hike!
That garter snake was harmless but that poison ivy would have ended my trip that night! That's why I wear long pants while trail hiking.
Yeah, thankfully I’m not very allergic to the leaves. It’s the sap from the vines that bother me. Thanks for watching!
Like all the details you give, and the pros and cons: also, would like to know why you chose the shorter stakes over the longer stakes.?
Thanks! I ended up going with the smaller stakes because the ground was so hard and dry I couldn’t get the large ones in. Good question! Thanks for watching!
Great information. Certainly helps when choosing a tent ⛺️ to purchase.😅
Thanks for watching!
At least you have a hat. Without it…a drowned rat vibe.
Very true!
You look like you’re having fun!?
If I’m being honest, it kind of was! Especially on a hot day!
I like your vibe man
I would add only 2 pieces of gear a buff and a Shamogh. ..both have multiple uses and both are light weight.
I completely agree! I actually ended up throwing both in my pack after I did this video because I forgot them. Thanks for watching!
I use the paper pour over filters when I go camping but the ones I get do not have coffee in them, so I bring my own. Great tent addition!
Good choice! Thank you, I like the tent so far and will be doing a video soon. Thanks for watching!
Being an avid coffee user and owning over 5 different coffee makers experimenting with different blends as well over the years, I'm fed up spending the time necessary to prepare coffee and resolved to use instant coffee. It's simple and with the loss of taste over a weeks time in stored coffee, I don't mind the reduced level of quality. If I can't have a great cup of coffee, I've settled for a weak flavored one but simple to make..
You definitely can’t beat the simplicity of that! My favorite instant coffee is by a company called Anthony’s, and the flavor is pretty good. Thanks for watching!
As usual-great video with good detail. I just bought an Aeropress from Amazon. It’s American made!! Can hardly wait to use it!! Can’t believe the coloring on Oreo cow- at first she looks like a statue. Appreciate seeing the beauty of the outdoors in your videos. Thank you-thanks Eli for being the camera man!!! 👍
Thank you! I have no doubt you’ll enjoy it! Oreo is definitely a uniquely colored cow. I’ll thank Eli! Thanks for watching!
Quit drinking coffee 20 years ago LOL I do like a good cup of tea black. Good video
Haha, well thanks for watching anyway! The Aero Press is also good for tea.
Do you have a link for this hammock ?
I do. Here it is: amokequipment.com
What does that hammock weigh ? Just subscribed.
Thanks! If you mean the flat lay hammock, the total weight with the hammock, pad, and tarp is about 6.5 lbs. Not the lightest, but I'll take it for the comfort every time. They do make a UL version as well which comes in around 4.8 lbs. for the whole kit.
You should add a structural ridge line. Also hang your foot end higher than your head end. That will stop you from sliding down. Good review.
I have thought about doing that, but now I mainly use the flat lay hammock every time. Hanging the foot end higher definitely helps as well! Thanks for watching!
Hey which sleeping pad do you use for the amok? Is it the original from them or would a different one work as well?
Hello! I have the XL version of the hammock so I use the XL Ultralight pad from Amok. There is no other company that makes a sleeping pad as tall as it. However, if you get the standard size hammock, any LW (long wide) pad with vertical baffles will work. It has to be vertical baffles for the flat lay to work properly. Thanks for watching and for the question!
SAK Tinker 👍 My favorite is the Champ
You can never go wrong with a good SAK! Thanks for watching!
I have several packs, from my old army MOLLE Large ruck all the way to ultralight. My favorite l, most comfortable and only weighs close to 3.5lbs is an external frame Kelty! Man you can’t beat those packs! Dang near indestructible! Great video bro! Pack what you want to pack and enjoy hiking
I have yet to try a UL pack, but I would agree on heavier packs generally being more comfortable. I’d rather carry more weight for comfort. Thank you for watching!
Nice bro.. You are calm and to the point.. Good vibe.. Greeting from Indonesian.. keep it going bro 😊🎉🎉🎉.. i am yours subscriber right now ❤❤❤
Thanks for the kind words and for watching!
I was surprised that in the beginning of this list that you said you couldn't afford an ultralight setup. Everything you bought was as expensive or more than ultralight gear. When it comes down to it, I don't think you need to justify whether or not you use an ultralight or traditional setup. Whatever you want to take with you is what you take with you. That said, I enjoyed the gear list after watching your hiking video and look forward to your future content.
That is true, but the most expensive gear in that video was given to me as a gift. If I do get something I save up and get quality gear that will last a long time instead of replacing cheaper gear over and over. I guess what I mainly meant by Ultralight gear was tents and sleeping bags that cost at least $650, or more for items made out of Dyneema or high fill power sleeping bags. Thanks for the comment and for watching! If you have any video idea's or things you'd like to see, please comment in the post I made on my community tab. I appreciate the support!
Speaking very generally, if you're looking at similar price ranges between ultralight and standard, the standard is going to be more durable and last longer. Nothing wrong with considering this to be part of cost.
I completely agree! Thanks for watching!
Enhoyed watching this, your humor showed throughout the editing. Seems like everyone had fun, even if it was challenging at times. Looking forward to any future trips you video.
Thanks, It was challenging, but definitely worth it! I appreciate that you saw the humor. Thanks for watching!
Love Rocking the speed goats on trail. Do you use trekking poles ? Also do you use any bug netting?
Same here! I’ve never worn a bad pair of Hoka shoes. I do use trekking poles, it seems to help with the load. As for the bug netting, do you mean like a head net?
Love all the details: you don’t miss a detail-especially the light weight items when backpacking! 😊😊
Thanks! I try to give thorough information.
