So just the us shift kit was all the you needed to do the swap for the trans? No controller? I putting a vortec engine in a tbi put converting it to carb. Air gap intake and Avs 1906 carb

My ECM fuse blows and cuts out the entire truck when driving .... not sure what it is ... but yeah still checking harness and testing out sensors...

1991 5.7 here would I be able to use the original intake manifold?and do you have links to parts I tuned up my 5.7 and stills stutters turns on once I go into gear it dies off. Sounds like if it’s cammed help please

where does one obtain a 2 barrel carb and adapter plate, new?

I bought a new one, compressed it and held the hole but it still came down, is it bad from factory?

What wires did you run to the hei distributor to power it also what wires to power the fuel pump to keep it running

Do you know the length and size of the bolts and nuts

1995 Silverado, crank but no start unless spraying starter fluid. can’t hear the pump humming, replaced fuel relay, checked the ECM, pulling truck bed to check ground now. Hopefully that works. Thanks for the video

Those bolts you struggled with have a shaved off section on the head that if you align with the pulley will come right off.

did you put compressor oil in the A/C pump pac 45 ?

there is a flat spot on the head of the bolt so you can pull out the long bolts .

Got a sbc 305 doing the tbi to carb too but what do you do with the iac idle air control plug?

My truck turns on then turns off it won't idle any suggestions. If i unplug the coolant temp sensor it will idle but as soon as i plug it in it dies out

When I tried removing my AC compressor, it started leaking/hissing air/oil through the back so I tightened it again. Is that normal?

The silicone is NOT an insulator :) It dissipates (transfers) the heat from the module and transfers it back to distributor to keep module from over-heating :)

this may have been 3 years ago but it seems like the same issue with my truck, it likes to idle rough and sometimes holds an idle at 1200 rpm or runs rough in lower rpm's when idling so i was thinking its either the IAC valve or my throttle position sensor plus when i shift into reverse or drive it likes to sorta slam into gear so im not entirely sure whats going on

Check your intake manifold gaskets or your catalytic converters I had similar issue and was my intake manifold gasket was leaking a bit of oil into the spark plug After that was fixed i jad a hesitation issue that turned out to be a bad catalytic converter... Just saying You've done quite few things Hope this gets resolved soon for you brother 🙏🏾

Did you ad more oil or did you just leave it as is , I believe they come pre charged with 3oz of pag oil

mine doesnt work well either lol. could be the actuators. one is by gas pedal one in center dash and one on passenger side underneath glove box. i almost wonder if this is what causing my ground issue. lol

ayo crazy i remember watching this review i have the same canon sl2 camera. and then find out you have same truck i do lol. thought about getting that new canon r50. but would have to get adaptors for the lens. and adaptor for hotshoe

my 96 just had leak problems used that silicone gel and put in seams stopped rain leaks. those rain guards were a good idea. also had all my lights not working like turn signals etc had to get a new wire throughout the truck to get all the lights working. still have a ground issue somewhere. the orange light under the headlight on passenger side still flickers from time to time. and a small part of cluster (dash inside) is dim. overall these trucks are awesome its usually goofy problems with these lol. just had the window fall out of frame. got that fixed. handles and latches tend to break on these often. the engines in these will last forever the frame is another story

have same truck a 96 light green 1500. mostly have and still have electrical issues. new ignition switch seemed to fix alot of goofy problems. like with the cluster. mine would get up to like 60 and then lose power.

Hey nick, ik its been a while but when youd be pressing on the gas, would jt sometimes feel like youd get a power band for a second repeatedly until you got uo to said desired speed?

You probably had a bad ignition coil from the get. Replace that whole set up and it will run fine I think.

did you do anything for the map sensor?

how does this video not have more likes? I've been watching a few of these tbi to carb videos and by far this series is the cleanest, good job! Getting ready to do the same to the 92 Camaro I just picked up.

Im basiclly in the same SHITuation just some issues are different.

its the TEMP Sensor might be wrong it needs the one near the thermostat it tells the pc how to control the efi on the tbi chevys.

Is that not the switch and the side one is sensor?
