Congratulations to the 677 paddlers who competed in Te Aito, the world’s most iconic rudderless outrigger event, in Tahiti. It was a true testament to this sport to see so many paddlers - from six to over sixty-years old - compete at such a high level. ARE Outrigger World paddlers Iloha Eychenne placed first, Vaimiti Maoni came in third, and Elizabeth “Willy Girl” Bradshaw finished 13th in the Open Women’s division, Ritchy Labbeyi came in 8th in the Open Men’s division, George Crondsteadt won the Master’s 40 division and Mariteragi Teahuragi finished 5th in the U19 Junior division.
