A flower's stamen under the microscope

For this video, I used a blue filter and oblique illumination with a 10x objective. The stamen is the male reproductive organ of a flowering plant, composed of a stalk-like filament, and an anther, which produces pollen.

Protist (Stentor?) under microscope
10 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Mystery protist. Can anyone ID? Is this a stentor? 10x Objective (plus camera magnification) So far the largest protist I've found. It zipped by in my field of view like Moby Dick, and was able to catch this little bit of video, but couldn't find it again. Apparently there can be a lot of hiding spots in a single drop of water. I pipetted that drop of water from the gravel detritus at the botto...

Euglena under microscope at 10x obj. Raw version.
มุมมอง 134 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Euglena sp., 10x objective. Found in a drop of water pipetted out of the detritus at the bottom of my aquarium. The Euglena is a single-celled organism which can photosynthesize like a plant, but move more like an animal using a whip-like flagellum. When the sun isn't available, it can also consume organic matter. So, as I understand it, if a single-celled organism is moving around like a micro...

Merci pour la visite de ce quartier de Montreal 🤗
Hi
@@shefrock4191 Howdy
Thank you for this, how is living around there?
Montreal is a loved city by many. I've lived here my entire life (50+ years) If you're asking about this particular part of Montreal, it's very central, within 10-15 min walk of everything downtown. Chinatown is 4-5 min away too. Those buildings will have views of Mount Royal to the North, the St-Lawrence River to the south, and likely all of Montreal and beyond. Mask regulations are scheduled to be terminated mid-May, and likely some easing of other regs. The city has condo developments underway all over the place. Parts of the city are becoming unrecognizable compared with a decade or so ago. You can get by in Montreal without french, but you'll inevitably get some attitude from some Francophones if you don't speak the language.
@@Mattypantaloons Thank you very much for your nice reply. It does look like a happening area. Yes, hopefully they will finally remove the mask requirement soon, they have been delaying that.
Beautiful! Thinking about a pair for my tank!
Beautiful fish!!
Thanks, and I agree, CPDs are beautiful. I'll be taking 8 Eythromicron Danio out of quarantine in the next couple of days to join these guys, so it's going to be interesting to see how everyone gets along. The Erythros are a bit pale in the quarantine tank, but they should colour up nicely after they settle in here.
Hey there, Hey Now. actually attractive video. thanks. :)
Awesome video
Keep at it, your content is fantastic! Watched the whole video. Subbed and notification bell clicked!

Named after Diva Zappa, not self absorbed narcissists singers or whatever the other kind of diva implies! Always a bit embarrassed to tell people her name...
Where did you get the bowl from?
I bought it on Amazon for $60 CAD. The one I have has a 16" diameter. Here's the link, they have different sizes: www.amazon.ca/dp/B01DNHBC8K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_CruEDbQWTC5M7
The 2 CPDs chasing one another from about the mark were likely doing the wild thing. Hopefully I'll see fry soon, but the beginning of a hydra outbreak is a bit worrying. Full update in the description.
Looking good :)
Thanks man. Only a nerite in it so far. Not sure what else. Maybe some chilli rasboras and a Badis. Not sure
@@Mattypantaloons Galaxy danios are cool too
@@enigmaticennui I've been thinking about them. I bet 10 would work. Would be nice to have an oddball aside from the school, like a Badis or something else
nice one. yellow fire i guess? i'm also thinking of getting some neo's.
Yup, about a dozen or more. I wanted some cherries or blues since the substrate is on the beige/yellow side, but I was impatient with this aquarium, Sweet potatoes in the rear corners are putting a lot of roots out, so one of them should be sprouting any day now. That'll make them even harder to spot lol but that's ok.
|NICE| !!!
Damn. Good job.
Bonjour, cet endroit est magnifique! Serait-il possible de savoir où il se trouve exactement? MERCI!!
I know he did. <3

froge
The guy dancing is a star.
They're pretty sensitive to water changes.
i picked up 6 of theses few days ago and lost one. was hoping to have 6 habrosus and pygmy. unfortunately i only have five now and i only could find one habrosus
This could be a Spike Jonze video.
The 2 frogs in there are probably avg size. It's possible that because this one's up front that it just looks proportionately bigger. They get bloodworms every 2 or 3 days :]
