This is obviously similar to how Daisy Ridley got the role for Star Wars.

Here's a thought: this scene is created by Diana's subconscious, which is struggling to sort out and justify what she has done in real life. Only: "It's no longer your film." The howling money man insists on being understood. Diana, in real life, serves coffee to customers. This particularly stubborn, uncooperative customer spits out her dream story and mutters "Shit." The poor waiter can only retreat in shame. Like Adam, he is stymied. Here we see another instance of reality trying to force its way into Diana's self-comforting dream story. As a waitress, (which is Diana's day job while she tries to become a professional Hollywood actress), Diana understands that the customer is ALWAYS right.

I hadn't really thought about it before, but one must assume that our redoubtable chap would have exposed Fotheringay and the other Colonel, as operatives working for those operating The Village, at some point in this episode, to his former colleagues. Of course, the first duo would have been aware, in advance, that No. 6 was on his way. One wonders, though, how they (or anyone) could be assured that he would make it back home, or even survive the journey. Hmm, that would be telling, I suppose.

It's obvious the village is run by British Intelligence. Why else, wouldn't they go looking him? How did the pilot explain his disappearance?

Every scene of this movie is good. Shame the movie sucks.
