Speedgate is tricky, at the moment it requires messing with the keybinds in order to "jester" it. Nose is by far the worst aspect, covers only direct headons if the target is subsonic. in the core files I copied the 2 lines from the jester's keybinds to the Pilot's Doesn't seem by the video, but I pan the TID around a lot Wow just found out about that mod! I'm getting it right now

This is either MSAA or DLSS/DLAA. Try without any AA. It's been like that for ages with this game. You either pick no AA and don't see things because of all the shimmering, or you pick AA and loose object visibility vs background. Others solve this through model scaling and lighting but DCS community is strongly against all that since they mostly care about flatscreen where this is solved with zoom and supersampling. I switched to BMS VR and don't regret for a moment, best experience you can have in modern combat flight sims now if you are OK with flying f16.

Spotting in VR has gone from way too easy to nearly impossible. Hopefully a middle ground can be found in there somewhere…someday…
yes, at the moment I resorted to flying datalink jets like the tomcat...
Spotting in VR for me is great these days. DCS viewing distance set to high, 4090gpu and a Varjo Aero. In fact I see better than my buddys playing in 2d which never used to be the case. Do you have improved spotting enabled?
@@pyroscot 4090 here, pimax, aero, q3, and big screen beyond…no joy on anything more than 2 miles out. Maxed out everything and supersampled; 90 fps steady…nada

hey are you using the quest 2 or 3 if you are useing the 2 how did you get the hands to work
I've tried every tutorial, I can't get them to launch. All I get is detection tone, nothing beyond that.

Hey guys, quick update: #1 keep the dive on the needles for few seconds and see if the calculated range is stable and makes sense. #2 16nm seems to be the hard limit for these if you drop them from 30k at mach speed #3 I was testing this with the SA-2 but somehow the range gets calculated way too short always (mk50 seekers) and the sparrows fall to the ground before acquiring the target... so the best way to get an SA-2 is with mavericks imo...
what setting should be the flight director mode knob set to? its hard to see in this video..

@@MrSunshine571 it’s an RTX4090, I don’t wanna brag about it too much, but that lets me render at full resolution with high settings
@@alpenfoxvideo7255 Ah I see, that explains it. I run a 4070TI and I cant get it to run well in VR. It either runs badly or looks horrible. :(
@@MrSunshine571 come on it still looks good I’m sure, just focus the rendering power in the cockpit at 70hz without reprojection. It looks miles better than FSX and VTOL ever did anyway
@@alpenfoxvideo7255 Im sure it is possible to get it to look right but the issue is I just cant be bothered lmao It takes a lot of messing about, changing settings etc to get it just right, I simply cant be bothered :D I was hoping this 4070 TI would just let me power through most of this stuff but it seems I would need a 4080 or what you have :(

I must have tried 8-10 times on ECW/HBCW. No joy so far.
Great video man thanks for making it. I thought SAMs were not on the front line on ECW? They must have changed this. Also, are you aware of if the A4 can also take these better Shrikes? EDIT: ah it was an airport!
I think enigma on this settings puts Strela-1 on the frontline. And the A-4 apart needing to be belly-up doesn't calculate a loft :C

@@shi4stone Oculus Quest 3 trackers, they’re not good at all… just because ED broke the controllers…
If you want to make a good tutorial video, first of all never use VR. It very hard to understand anything while your head is shaking all around the cockpit. Maybe VR is very good for immerse yourself, but very uncomfortable to watch.
If he simply uses openxr vr stabilization it would be actually pretty good

@@alpenfoxvideo7255 Its in the openxr toolkit options, called overcorrection compensation or something, it basicly just smooths out your head movement making recordings look much better and zooming in much more bearable.

How are you using voice attack to change the aspect knob? Isn’t that in the back seat? My voice attack command switches to the back seat and it lags the game
I edited the default keybind files, copying those to the front seat. Waiting for heatblur to put jester commands for that.
