The Orioles' Cal Ripken, Jr. picked up his 3000th career hit in this game, as Baltimore defeated the Twins 6-4. Minnesota's highlights mostly come in the fourth inning, where a young Corey Koskie hit a two-run triple and Ron Coomer followed with a double to drive Koskie in. Fun fact: Ripken became the third player in seven years to get his 3000th hit at the Metrodome (joining the Twins' Dave Wi...

In the final opening day at historic Tiger Stadium, the Twins' Eric Milton (who gave up just one hit in 7-1/3 innings) and the Tigers' Willie Blair (three hits in 8 innings) dueled to a scoreless tie. Todd Walker finally broke the stalemate in the 12th with a solo home run, and then Rick Aguilera closed the show for a 1-0 Twins win. Boxscore: www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/DET/DET199904120.shtml

One day after his two-run homerun lifted the Twins to a 3-0 win over Detroit (th-cam.com/video/AFraRyO18Xg/w-d-xo.html), Michael Cuddyer did it again, this time hitting a three-run homerun in the bottom of the 8th to key a 6-2 Twins win. Carl Pavano hurled seven innings of two-run ball, outdueling Justin Verlander who had given up just two runs, too, before being rocked in the 8th. Boxscore: ww...

Here's a real random game: a 3-0 Twins win from September 2009. Michael Cuddyer's two-run homer in the sixth provided all the runs they needed, as Brian Duensing hurled 6-1/3 shutout innings before turning it over to the bullpen who shut the Tigers down the rest of the way. Nick Blackburn took a shutout into the 9th inning before Brandon Inge's two-run homer got the Tigers on the board. But a six-run 4th for the Twins, featuring a two-run homerun by Justin Morneau and a based-loaded throwing error on a chopper by Denard Span clearing the bases, was more than enough run support for Blackburn to complete the game. If the World Series was in an even year, the Braves would have won. The Twins had the greatest home field advantage in history, and they proved it on the road in the 87 and 91 World Series.

Puckett, Gaetti and Viola and other players DID PEDs at the end of the season! Established by Bill James. Read his books. Same in 1991 though other players too involved. Puckett DIED from first generation PEDs. He was a swollen mess on his death bed. Twins need to have all championships revoked by MLB.

I don't blame Dennis Martinez, as I believe the pitch honestly just got away, but I still hate to hear the name "Dennis Martinez". Kirby Puckett was still in his prime when he developed glaucoma, and likely would have had 4 to 6 more highly productive seasons ahead of him, likely reaching 3000+ hits, 300+ home runs, and both 1400+ RBI and RS. Probably the saddest day in MN Twins history, perhaps even more than the day that Sandy Koufax beat the Twins 2-0 in Game 7 of the 1965 WS.

2:44:31 shuda used the digital dB meter #NBCSports used for 1984 DEN at SEA game where readings topped out 89 db (likely A rating) nice #calibration shot "ear"lier by #ABCSports. No joke people couldn't hear sh$t (umps can't hear HBP, Infield fly rule shot, etc) readings 109+ legit. Likely both Kubek and Costas relayed "man this is unreal" hence shot near RF press box earlier as a "attaboy" and yes those are easy to break with a needle especially when you flip it accidentally 70-80 range when its 100+ db loud. No wonder as of late coerced doctors attempt to claim I am "paranoid" but only after fraudulent practices by uninsured attorneys and by attempting get better over year ago to Nystrom and Associates where they refused to disclose major corrective status as legally required and have issued fraudulent insurance cards, etc so attorneys like Jason Arthur Lien, Evan A Nelson and James Daniel Kremer can (continue to)steal from clients, commit #idenritytheft engage in #childabuse and continue to engage in #IIED #intentionalinflctionofemotionaldistress #insurancefraud #maslon #dewittllp #attorneymisconduct #judicialmisconduct #66CV191699 #paulmagers #kare11 #kstp #aweighted #dbmeter #wintwins
