1st-6th gens: aight, lets make this car ugly as shit, but reliable. 7th-10th gens: Hey, why dont we make it cool looking AND reliable. 11th gen: Lets go back to making them look like shit again.
Hey man is this a limited or premium? Thanks!
Did your tune void your warranty? Im looking to do the same to my si but really dont want to void that warranty
I would say the handling of the si if my favorite part so far. Looking to get an intake soon!
What cold air intake and tune?
Make more pov honda civic drive❤
Anyone have a vb with over 50-60k?
oh nice, the K&N "cold air intake" which actually is hot air from the engine bay, and the stock intake is the actual cold outside air intake. How is this so hard for anyone to realize? Your shifting is pretty awful. Awesome car though
The stock exhaust on these cars do sound very good.
Who did the tune?
Exedy rates the clutch at 240lbs of torque, you must be slippin?
No slip so far, been holding up well!
this car is 100% a touge car. if you drive it really hard on a downhill you rlly don’t need much more than 250-300whp. if u want a honda drag car get a 8th gen
When you say 300whp is that an actual dyno result or are you just calculating this based on the specs and the mods?
Where is the pops ?
Nice WRX
After watching tons of videos about this car and building up hype for weeks and weeks, I finally got a chance to drive one on a dealer lot and boy.... let's just say I was disappointed. For one, I really didn't like just how loud the rumble from the exhaust/engine is in the cockpit. Maybe it's just the frequency of it, but it felt like I just had a subwoofer underneath me playing nonstop. Maybe it's something I could get used too, not sure. Aside from that though, there was a clattering noise I could hear up along the dashboard. It sounded like the hood was rattling or something but I can't be sure. Also, it's way underpowered given the premium fuel requirement and poor fuel economy. I already own a 22 Outback Wilderness and I honestly felt like the WRX was not as quick and not as peppy as the family wagon. Stopping power was also pitiful. I guess it's fun to slam through the gears on an open road, but for a daily driver, it's too expensive and too underwhelming to be a serious contender for me. The upgraded stereo wasn't worth a damn given that I could barely hear it over the engine noise. The one I was looking at was a hair over 40k with all the upgrades and options, but that's way too much given what else you can get for the same money elsewhere.
It does not handle better than sti as it does not have dual limited slip or a locking gear
have you driven both or are you just hating to hate? As someone who's owned and driven both generations the VB is better stock for stock in almost every way (excluding looks...)
@@JacobBeckmann25 Power not really but the steering is impressive for it being electronic. The STI has hydraulic steering the steering tighter and the suspension is stiffer which makes it better. The STI is better also but I can't argue that it's better for daily driving since it's a little more comfortable, the steering is very light and easy to turn.
Not a good idea to put more power into that 1.5L if you plan on keeping it for a long time.
From an 10 gen si owner definitely think about getting the head studs done. The added boost will eventually lift the head. Just with a tune the head will lift. Personally had it happen.
Thanks, in your opinion is the only safe way to increase power 15-20 hp/tq via a downpipe and intake?
In my opinion if you want to keep the car a long time with added horsepower. Do The head studs first before adding performance parts including a tune. I daily drove mine. Had an intake, intercooler and a tune. Lasted 92k before the head gasket let go. Dumped all the coolant into the exhaust.
@@Highvoltage319 Gotcha, thanks. Used to work in performance shops/operate a dyno. In my experience the intake/exhaust modifications shouldn't affect the cylinder pressure (i.e. via increased boost) and therefore not affect the head gasket/studs unless you are running lean as a result.
@@Shereika1 it’s a fun car! Enjoy.
That’s crank hp for sure. It took alot more than an intake and tune for me to hit 250whp seeing how these cars make like 170-180whp stock. Mine took full bolt ons and a tune and it made 264whp on 93oct.
he never said WHP, I think he means crank
@@sambo_smesh4226 possibly
All I needed was catless downpipe and prl race maf and I’m on 1.5R tune I also ran tsp stage 1+ for a while and I keep up with the FL5 pretty consistently
I bought a 2023 WRX base model about a month and a half ago now. It is a blast to drive. I'm loving every second of driving that car. I wanted a Honda Civic Type R but that was out of my price range so I ended up buying the WRX and I don't regret it one bit. I'm really happy with my WRX. I wasn't the biggest fan of the looks of the new WRX but it grew on me once I bought mine. Now, I love how they look and the car drives awesome. Honestly, it's the best purchase I've made this year. I couldn't be any happier with it.
Yo have you done any work to it yet? I been thinking an getting into one but im all about reliability, also how many miles you have on it? Tia
@TheDadFatha I got the oil changed but that's the only maintenance I've done so far. Car is awesome. I love it. Drives awesome and works great. I strongly recommend getting one.
If anyone wants yo see the full potential, look up cornfedwrx 🙏 550 whp with about 8k in mods
Did you change out the clutch? Hondata said the 250hp tune is too much for the stock clutch and recommends not using it unless a stronger one is put in. Experienced any slipping?
Nope stock clutch is holding up just fine for me!
Atm im on 25psi on 91oct and have been on 23psi e30. No slip so far. Still gotta test some e30 at 25 & 27 psi on the phearable tune to see if it can take it. I think i got one of the good factory clutches
Bro you should do steroids, grow your hair out, and wear a hat
Haha you think so bro?
What is your camera aspect ratio when filming this video pov? Thanks
I thought subarus awd was 60/40 being front wheel biased?
Subaru uses symmetrical (50/50) awd on all of their cars (minus BRZ)
It sounds so good! I still prefer the all motor K24.
umm did you forget they don't make those anymore?
@ did you forget you can by a used one?
@@toma3447 Did you forget that some people don't want a used car? Never know what your getting with used
@ in my statement I said “I still prefer”
very nice
Yo ima fan
My 2020 coupe is at 260hp it’s what the car should’ve been
It needs an exhaust
recently came across your TH-cam channel! been a blast watching all your videos! keep uploading loving the content
Thanks bro!
Just bought this as my first car 2 months ago and driving it always puts a smile on my face. Also did a 27WON short ram intake and it sounds phenomenal.
27won turbo inlet, BOV spacer and DC cold air with a hondata tune its enough for the stock clutch. Add a downpipe with stock exhaust there sprising loud enough
Nice car brotha!!! sounds nice too, I just test drove a TYPE R today and man that car is crazy lol. But I use to have a 10th gen si and loved everything about it except the collision features came on at random. Does that happen on the 11th Gen?
So far, I haven't had that problem, could be an ECU or sensor issue?
@@HesiDrift I am never got it figured out sadly I ended up trading it in. Glad to see that you’re enjoying the new SI though.
Fire gti and content🔥🔥
Appreciate it, bro!
Great vid would be going down a mountain
Clean GTI
Smooth riding love it
What stage of tune is it?
Stage 1
@@HesiDriftdid you tuned yourself ?
@@torreSi2024 Hondata flash tune, very easy to do yourself!
@@HesiDrift thanks that will be my next mod
@@torreSi2024 highly suggest a KTuner v2 and TSP combo deal. It's $600 (the tune comes free) and idiot proof to install. The KT v2 has a touch screen that makes flashing the car back to stock so incredibly easy as well. It's one of the most popular '22+ Si tune combinations
Has anyone ever told you you kind of sound like Sam Sulek? That aside keep on doing what you’re doing brother! This was a great review of the Civic Si 👌🏼
Haha thanks bro!
Hes does holy shit
I was just gonna buy an Si. But when I see the hatch back, I fell in love with the trunk size. Too bad Si doesn't come in a hatch. I don't want a less power hatch sport touring. So I ended up buying a Type R. I got everything I want except the price. But what the heck, we only live once.
Pushing that little 1.5L to blow. Why not just buy a faster car?
Because there is a such thing as being a Fan of a particular trim level of a car. They have their own communities TYPE R community SI community even a Prelude community. Its his choice what he decides to do with his money just like you wouldn't want someone telling you what to do with your money right?
@@iManual6peedU kind of proved his point in your first half. If you're a TRUE FAN of a certain make, model and trim, then you should be a Fan of that car CLOSER to it's factory form. 'Possibly' over-pushing it's capabilities/reducing longevity (particularly that small 1.5) is the opposite of that appreciation. But your right 💯. It's his money 💰. And we all have the right to do fun, smart or dumb things with it.
@@kevinsbiscuitsnjelly8193 so modding a car means you’re not a fan of it? Damn lol Subaru just left the chat 😂. I believe there is more than one definition of being a fan of a particular car., and one you would like to make with your own taste.
@@iManual6peed No! Nothing wrong with 'light' mods, like a K&N drop in, SRI's, performance tires, small cosmetic add-ons or even lowering springs, fine. But If were talking 'heavy' power mods like aggressive Tunes, large Turbo's, Engine rebuild's/swaps, Intercooler's etc. then yea....your not a TRUE fan of that car IMHO lol. Cuz now you're trying to create a different animal than what you purchased. The same way u want your favorite Movie or your GF to stay when u first saw them, the whip should b no different (if u truly like it). *Good 🔥 with the Subaru tho! 😂😂☠️☠️
@@kevinsbiscuitsnjelly8193 it’s cool I feel you on that front but we will have to disagree on this one brotha 😂. Tuning the car you love or a fan of is fine. Power mods are standard upgrades at this point. All types of cars do it. Example I’m making a track focused 86 on my channel and once I’m done with it, it won’t drive no where similar to stock due to suspension upgrades tires aero etc…. But it will perform in a way that suits my driving style.
What kind of cold air intake you have
It’s a K&N cold air intake I believe
How much is a hondata carb tune?
750$
2:30 he wanted to say it handles amazing, but remembered the Type R's existence
Intake on modern turbo cars are crazy lol. Its makes the car sound more powerful than it does My intake and stock recirc valve is so loud, people look. Makes jdm noises, but im in a bmw 428i gran coupe. If you close your eyes during turbo noises, sounds like a silvia lol
Yo I counted over ten school bus at 8:25 😂
bro get rid of that fake electronic exhaust speaker under the dash ASAP
Your hairline is fake
Must be a really good 👍🏿 tuneR - are you Sure it’s not fbo 😅
❤❤❤Hondas 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
