    Oil changes are a feeling type thing if you care about the engine. But you have to care. If it says every 4K, you do it 3K because in the end you know you're getting more life out of the bike but it depends on how you ride it. If you don't work your bike hard and granny ride it, then fine wait, but if you are hard on it, change it sooner. I the bike is new, change it sooner. Give it time to break in past 5K and even up to 10K. Most people don't treat cars and bikes with much respect which is why they have problems. Manufacturers make bikes to last, but they don't engineer them to take abuse. Change the oil.

    You don't need a helmet or gear either, just don't crash. I'm sure you can match the braking performance of abs in an emergency, car pulling out, sand, tar snakes, oil, etc... Abs takes nothing away it is only a benefit, every new bike should come with it. Keep in mind before moto abs became common there were less people driving distracted looking at phones and center display screens while driving too. Sure you can be safe without abs but will never have the same safety potential/braking consistency as abs with nonperfect roads.

    always always drill out the nut on the oil drain plug 1/16 dia drill then wire it up after oil filled to frame lug with slot in it. you will never loose your oil plug. to same with filler cap. if you come back to bike and the filler wire is cut . You know someone has tampered with it don't start engine.

      Only rookies and dumbasses lose a drain plug. Never done that, never lost a drain plug on any car or motorcycle. You might be right on a sports bike but I have a 300cc. Nothing too powerful. But technically still don't need that if you do the job correctly

    Cheap oil lives for 150 motor-hours, the best of the best oil for 300 motor-hours. The average driving speed where I live is 21 mph (34 km/h), so cheap oil isn't working after 3000 miles (5000 km), the best after 6000 miles (10000 km). It's better to buy cheap oil and change more frequently to make sure that all the residue from combustion and friction gets flushed out more often.

    I would do maintenance on my own bike and wish i could, but my dad has more control over my bike than myself, and being the pro rider he is, does the maintenance for me. If i think of it one way, i don't need to bother about my bike. And since i live on dad's money anyway, it's fine. Fun fact: my dad bought me this bike for less than $100 (7000 INR) as a bike with a smoking engine. He changed the piston and gave it to me, but per documents it's still his. The thing is a frikin beast now. Doing a 0 to 60 in 6 seconds, and with his special mileage tuning, I'm getting efficiency of 75 km/l which is unheard of, even among 100 cc commuters here in India. Mine's a 125 cc. Bike name's super splendor by hero honda (honda collaborated with hero to make this but modern iterations are just hero).

    That's like saying someone is a bad driver because they learned on an automatic. If you're defining "skilled" as being able to use old technology, then sure, your point is valid. But if someone has no intention of ever operating a motorcycle without ABS, why would relying on ABS be bad? I mean sure, in theory, it's possible to out-brake ABS, especially in controlled scenarios, but avoiding a crash is ultimately what matters, and having ABS provides peace of mind that riders can avoid locking up their wheels in more dynamic emergency road situations.

    Good to see you back in action here. How often do you change oil? Per manual or more often?

    • @HODGYMOTO
      @HODGYMOTO 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I do my oil change very often because i want my bike to last and i ride it quite a bit. but I also maintenence my own vehicles. Just installed new chain, oil and filter and detailed it completely. It's looking brand new and feeling like it.

      @@HODGYMOTO that’s awesome. I am late to the game, so to speak. Just broke the 4k mark on my 2023 cb300r last week, first bike. I’m having a blast.

    I think you should take a look at your own riding, the speed you're lane splitting at will get you hurt, or worse. I've seen too many videos here on channels like MotoStars of riders getting knocked off because of this. Even an attentive driver checking their mirrors will have a hard time seeing you weaving around at those speeds.

      @fenrir7969 hahaha I realized a bit late that I might of chosen the wrong clip for this video but yea you're right✅️

    Was that just one cannister of oil even though you had two sitting there in the video?

    • @HODGYMOTO
      @HODGYMOTO 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @tkd1054 by canister I assume you mean quart, one quart of oil per bottle. And I used both. Takes around 1.6 quarts so one whole bottle and around half of the other

      Cannister…yes mean quart. The word wasn’t hitting my brain as I typed it out.

    I was reluctant on getting one of these to use, mainly as a commuter to and from work, but I was worried it would struggle to do highway speeds, but your video proves that it doesn’t struggle at all! I’m sold and will be purchasing a 2025 CB300R in metallic Matt black
