Ep 103 How to build a successful career and be rewarded for it through tech acquisition.
On the show today is someone i have known for since 2009, someone who today is going to share some real knowledge about building a career but also being part of business that got acquired for an 8 figure sum USD, earning a % of this,
He is on this show because he has some real insights into rising up the ranks, transferring from sales to a technical director and has a mindset and knowledge we should all look to reach,
With his straight talking and no bullshit attitude, he can be ruthless but he himself says he has learned to be more understanding and that has allowed him to excel.
What do we discuss on the show, see below.
promotion from sales director to technical director, not many people would be capable of that, could you tell me about how that was for you, challenges faced and what you learned?
Recently, BIOS was acquired by zaintech, part of Zain Group. Companies love an acquisition, what was it about BIOS that stood out to them and why couldn't they just do it themselves?
Sales is sales (is not correct) , especially with the type of service you offer, what are the mistakes you see sales people/ technical people making and what actions can people take to get better
People working in the middle east always give off this impression that it's easy for white British men but in an industry that is mostly Indian, Pakistani, Egyptian, Jordanian, how do you adapt?
What's been some differences that have happened (good or bad) since zain group?
I want to highlight as well (major point to this podcast really,) about building a career, showing your loyalty, getting rewarded for that and then the journey is getting even better because you’ve now been promoted again. Too much is pushed on people to be entrepreneurs and there is nothing wrong with building a career and having the success like you’re having.
Thank you for being on the show, Adam, your success is only just beginning.

Unfortunately Tothemham couldn't sustain it. Club, players and fans are too myopic to see the big picture. Club managements are comfortable at their mediocre level, pressurised by the media and intimidated by ignorant fans and sacked Jose. Good case study for leadership and success 'how not'.

Thank you for sharing your story, Mark. You are right that self awareness is so important to move forward in life, no matter the circumstance. Awareness is more than just being in touch with yourself, it is to be consciously connected to the greater aspects of yourself. To be truly aware is to begin to understand that you are a vast being beyond personality and physical body. You begin to function through inner guidance, opening yourself to greater possibilities. And through your inspired actions, you become a beneficial presence in the world. To walk through life's journey fully awake is to live a blessed life. Flow, grace, gratitude, all of the virtues are cultivated and embodied. Through this process, we transform and ultimately manifest our divine destiny. Wishing everyone in your community a transformative journey . . . th-cam.com/video/lmcS-ipgkZQ/w-d-xo.html

Horrible analysis. The fact that you pronounce Jose's name wrong says you really don't know the guy. It's not about romance and happy endings with Jose. You do the job, if you can't, you're out

Great analysis. I think he is building something great at tottenham regardless of if they win the league or not I still fancy him to win silverware there. United just was not the kind of club for him. Tottenham look kinda similar to Chelsea when he first came. A club that didn't know what was the winning mentality and that was humble enough to thrust a manager with a bigger CV than the club at the time. His transfer market this year has been stellar and that city game showed us he is still one of the greatest tactician of all time. He really is a poker player. His strategy is always to put himself in a mental position that will give headache to the other manager. Chelsea vs tottenham next week should be very interesting

Mr. Brennan, You are not just a good Boss but you are our life-changing. As his life partner, all I wanted is him to be happy. You didn't just give your waiter a new job but you gave him a " new happy life " I couldn't be happier to see him finally can do what he good at and happy waking up everymorning doing what he loves. Thank you so much. P.s.you also save our marriage we finally can have simply dinner time together instead him working so hard at night and I worked at the day time. Khop khun mak mak kha ❤

This talk is 100% match the type of content in my feed all the time. One of those talks which makes me pause and relisten to some parts again and take some notes - And that’s my personal sign that it’s one worth spreading. It’s absolutely insane how many similarities I’ve discovered in the way of thinking with James. Rich dad poor dad was one of the first books which pushed me to change my life. I was reading it for the first time when I was 16, it was like getting a slap in the face, it changes your priorities in life. And as James mentions - You just want to talk to every person around you and ‘wake them up’. It did make me look at the education system the same way that James describe it. And so when everyone pushes me to go down the same road - go to university, find a good job. It got me confused, because I know it might not be the right thing for me. I didn’t want to go back to a system that teaches me nothing important. I still put some savings and signed up, but deep inside I knew I should not go down this road - and so I never showed up. I lost most of my money but figured it’s better to lose money than time. Super motivated, I signed in instead to a trading school to quickly gain some financial knowledge, took as many courses as I could afford, worked for free for few months, quit a stable job to start my own business. Obviously, like Mike mention in another talk on your podcast, you're being judged by everyone around you. Your close circle doesn’t always see things the way you see them. And so for me to get away from all the pressure, the only way to keep living my life on my own terms was to leave the country. The influence of this book on lives is absolutely crazy. And I am not sure I would be the same person I am today if I hadn’t read it. And as you said, sometimes it’s not only the message itself but how the message is being transferred to you. Anyone who ever been with James in the same room will immediately feel his crazy energy and see that he is deeply and genuinely living what he preaches. When you see someone living like he’s talking, the message is becoming more true. And this is an inspiration to me.

Thank you so much for your reply Sapir, thank you for opening up and telling your story. It makes me so happy when people watch the interviews/content and not only like it but feel compelled enough to right a response like you did . What are you reading at the moment? Any recommendations? I just finished Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman. Once again, thank you for your reply .

Good talk over here! I think Mike is on the side of those who don't believe in a side hustle, but putting your full attention into what you do if you want to make it boom. It could be interesting if your next guest will be someone on the other side, who started an empire from a side hustle. Also, it will be good to have Steve Jobs's video Mike is talking about in the description. Awesome job!
