Did it taste different?
The smell was different! But when it came to taste, both were just as delicious.
Quickly becoming my favorite channel
🥰 🥳
makes a great cup!
How did he preform at the Brewers cup?
Unfortunately 7th. Made it through the first round and then missed out by 1 point to making it into the final. He will keep going though! Keep an eye out for future competitions....
Interesting method! I’m little confused about lower temperature and 96 degree Celsius. For me, 96 degrees is still in the higher range.
HAHA did you actually have something catching the rinse water on the ground?
LET'S GO!
What is your favorite temperature to brew at?
Depends on the brew method, here in Calgary we can only boil our water to 96c due to the elevation (1,045 m). So for this type of brew, 96c is my favourite temp. But some other brew methods required cooler water as the extraction process can be different depending on the method.
Nice one Scott
What was the grind size? I've got the same grinder
Love the Cezve!
same!
I learned a lot from this video and I'm going to try it out at home.
huh? dilute with 50g water?
Absolutely no need for the scales, just fill to just near the top and use a metal filter ❤
Great tip, especially if you’re in a pinch and don’t have a scale! Using a scale helps with consistency, though, making sure you get the exact same coffee-to-water ratio every time for a more predictable and balanced brew. But of course, it’s all about what works best for you!
What’s the end time you aim for?
Nelson's recipe aims for 3 minutes 20 seconds. If you are finding its going longer or shorter than that, try adjusting your grinder size. Happy Brewing!! :D
slam dunk on that hoop!
It's Hoffmann fyi.
The 'normal' feels like it was roasted lighter (even underroasted perhaps?) and it was a bit hard to compare it with the rest of the coffees. Overall, really interesting. I liked the CO2 the best, felt like it lost the least amount of flavor. EA was very similar, maybe slight more acidic? SWP I can definitely taste it, and I do not prefer it.
Fairly similar to my aeropress. I just bloom the 1st 20%. Medium grind is 9-10 on the k-ultra. I like 9.
Awesome, glad to hear that this method works for you, we think it’s a great one too!
Grinder setting at?
Medium course!
great tutorial! How many clicks on c40 would you sugest for light to medium roast?
In between 23 and 27! Happy brewing
@ cool, many thanks;)
Nice. What's the grind size you used? I have the same grinder...
4.5ish! Depends on your coffee, but thats the grind size we used for our coffee.
going to have try this one out!
Why all the process when it’s supposed to b simple
Love this!!
Thanks for the breakdown! I have a quick question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
Hmmm...
Very interesting, how much lower is the caffeine roughly, like half or 5% or what compared to normal varietals? Thanks!
Thats sooo strong. 20 grams from the usual 15 grams to 200 water from the usual 250 grams of watwr hahah
You can always experiment with different ratios and find what suits your taste.
3 tablespoons of coffee 1 1/2 cup of water plain and simple comes out great!!
That's awesome! It's great that a simple recipe can work so well.
Well thanks from Las Vegas I always make some to share but thought I'd like to know how to make a single cup for a straggler 😊 Plus I got some Half Cafe for in the evening maybe. Think i need a full 8 minutes for that. But this is the first time I didn't feel the need to filter out the bits , cause it's a PRESS 💪 I did all the way lol. So now I can use French Press all the time because it shouldn't take the time I've been given it.😅👍😊
We're glad this recipe helped you find a faster way to enjoy a great cup.
You give a really big title to this, but this recipe does not live up to it. Unless you really like tedious recipes 🙂
He does complicate this technique a bit. 🤫 The beauty of the clever is its simplicity. Been using my technique for 3 years now and it's pretty awesome for me. Great cup every single time. I get my beans from Henry's House of Coffee (Bella Finca) out of San Fran or Fresh Roasted Coffee's (Tarrazu). 12 grams coffee, 200 grams filtered water @ 200 degrees. 1. Pour in water FIRST then add coffee. 2. Stir with a spoon to wet grounds and steep for 2 mins. 3. Break crust and wait 30 secs. 4. Place on carafe for drawdown. (30-60 secs. depending on grind) You can add 1 or 2 additional minutes for steeping, depending on your taste. happy tasting...
Do you have the name or link of the filters you found?
😂ta ta for now. Thank you for sharing. I actually learned quite a few things❤
I'm so glad!
I like this method, and gonna give it a try with my Hario Switch!
Awesome. Let us know how it tastes!
Can we get to the point? Watched it 3 times still don't know when to add the 1 cup of water and depress the plunger....anyone have a quick written recipe???
3 tablespoon of your coffee and 1 and a half cups of water plain and simple comes out great!!
Those subtitles hid your demonstration.
I just bought a French press for the first time today and I used 2 tablespoons and it was perfect not strong and best coffee I’ve ever ever had and it was Dunkin’ Donuts coffee so I will buy some good stuff soon
What is this server???
Dear cole
Trying this right now 🎉
500g water + 30g coffee + fire = an invitation to early morning whiskey. Great choice for Finca Santa Cruz.
If I want a lighter body closer to a pourover, would you recommend using the paper filter or just dilute it afterwards?
Today I have used your method and suprisingly the result has been perfect. Very sweet, tasty. Thanks for inspiration.
So a pour thru
What ( Rosso ) stands for ?
All you coffee vloggers use terms like "medium grind" but never define what a medium, coarse, or fine grind is.
This is annoying I just wanted a tutorial not the extra talking
How I dislike all those incomprehensible (and trendy!) bullsh*t words like “milk chocolate “, “dark chocolate”, “walnut”, “red apple” and all the rest of them. All I ever taste or want to taste is COFFEE - that delectable taste!
Omg using the phin filter is genius!!!
Great review, very funny! :)
