The strangest breed these red-book audio using PC games were at the end of the 90s, i've played AVP all the time, and ever time with zero music. Once it started up during a skirmish against bots (?!)... Total Annihilation, QuakeII, AVP, all played silly on me in some ways or just never played the music at all. I just cannot imagine why it would be a good idea for these to play during gameplay, you need every bit of sound to hear of your enemies. Also these tracks are blending atmospheric and epic clunky stuff at random. Maybe if the game would have been intelligent enough to switch between the different parts according to what's going on.

Shitty change to the original. Who gets in the mood by this epic dam-dam-dam and the stupid grainy video loop instead of the space backdrop...

I hate how the fucked up the original feel of the game with the Gold edition. Sure, introduce save-states to the gameplay, why not, but why mess with the awesomest menu ever???

Such a simple tune, but this is the one I remember after all these years. Had to search for it.

I love it how it really feels like a fusion of the James Horner Aliens music and Alan Silvestri's Predator music. The composer did an amazing job of blending the essence of those two scores here while still creating something original.

That was the most scary game of my childhood. I was watching my uncle playing it (always as a marine) and i was shitting my pants. Sometimess he wanted me to try but i was too scared to move and even if i did i literally ran off from his pc whenever i heard first aliens coming xD

This is so much better than the Soundtrack that we got with Aliens: Fireteam Elite which sounds like some Film Noir instead of an Aliens themed game.
