Great courtesy to name the orchestra and conductor. (Lorin Mazel)
OMG, she's really stunning!❤
Wow, clarinet soul
Bravo, ma nulla che si avvicini a O. Michallik e K. Leister
That's great!!!
Roberto
You are more at ease performing solo than most orchestra members in group. What a clear and perfect b flat clarinet tone! Perfect execution, and remember boys and girls, all by memory! Bravo. Words fail.
Amazing! I can't even imagine playing that reading the music. Bravo!
It's better not to read - you just see black -especially the last sheet!😂 ....and he played it 1000 times to concentrade on the expression and not stick to the sheets!
Superb! Magnificent! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Molto bello.
Bravo!!! 👍👍👍
The audience must've died during his playing only to not cough ^^
Bravisso
BE STILL. I'm getting seasick!
Brilliant !!
Bravo, Daniel! Absolutely Beautiful :)!!
Come disse Mozart a Salieri, non pensavo che un'esecuzione così fosse possibile
awesome player ! bravo Ernst. a minor issue at 4:08 but, you are really amazing, to me, the very best player on earth.
Wow, his clarinet looks very small.

Bravo 🙌
A number of commenters here seemed not to notice that the account holder was not the soloist. Ernst Ottensamer (if this was truly his own account) was a world-renowned Austrian clarinet soloist who became principal clarinetist of the VPO in 1983, and who passed away last year (July 2017) from a heart attack. However, he also passed on his genes to his two sons. His eldest son Daniel (who is playing here) became co-principal clarinetist with the VPO alongside his father, and his youngest son Andreas is principal clarinetist of the BPO. Not bad for one family. BTW, there is also a superb recording of this concerto by Ernst that was uploaded to TH-cam by the great classical uploader Addiobelpassato.
Yes, Ernst was a great clarinetist in his own right, and his early, sudden death was a tragedy. His recordings of all 4 Spohr concertos and the 2 Weber concertos on Naxos are remarkable, some of the finest clarinet playing ever recorded. Here is a link to Ernst's recording of the Weber Second Concerto that you mentioned: th-cam.com/video/dPdPL16lE0k/w-d-xo.html
Bravissimo tecnicamente eccellente.... Freddo come un ghiaccio però....!!
The conductor is his father Ernst Ottensamer, former principal clarinettist of the Wienna Philharmonic.
They both perform next to each other in the piece Bolero conducted by Gustavo Dudamel and I think it’s amazing. Kind of sad that his father recently passed away, I was in a music educators convention in Texas when I found out back in 2017.
I can’t watch it without taking Dramamine. I’ve been on cruise ships and turbulent airplanes, but this made me ill.
wow!!
why they all started coughing after 2nd movement
JustClarinet because it's a very subtile and quiet piece in which no one wants to be that person who coughs trough it. So basically they all save it up for the small break. : ^)
The Conductor is the best. He got everyone playing together.
But Markos Eridan wrote just above here in Spanish: "I have noticed that everyone here does what they think. Before the ending scale of the first movement they make a caesura that is not written and lacks continuity to the phrase."
Excellent!
nice playing up to 10:35 - not sure what happened here... I also feel that the jazzy parts of the concert are really difficult for classically trained clarinetists: they just don't get the jazz feeling, the jazz swing going...
Bravissimo!!!!
Jean Françaix - Tema con Variazioni (Theme and Variations) for Clarinet and Piano (1974) extrait
BRAVO!!Excellent ~~
Excellent Performance,beautiful sound.
браво!!!
Bravissimo!!!!!!!!!!
Love you, Daniel <3 In musical point of view ofcourse ;)
6:38 someone screaming "FUCK!"
Rubolf Guitar damn lmao
deαd mαη are you a clarinetist?? Because i always see you commenting on clarinet videos

Perhaps not quite the way Mozart wanted it, since it was written in G Major. and his friend Anton Stadler lost the score forever when it was in a picnic basket Her Stadler sold for about a hour's pay.
