The problem with these cheap pumps, is the impellers center shaft is plastic, and breaks. I put a steel shaft in mine and have not had any more issues. If the shaft breaks, the magnetic center gets lodged, and will not spin.

Mine was the shaft or ceramic pin it broke. I got a metal shower curtain hook and bent it straight and cut to size .works great

La parte que parece desgastada no lo esta. Es asi de fabrica. Puede ser que tu bomba se quedo trabada con algun desgaste que no era necesariamente esa parte que rellenaste con teflon y tape

thanks! this helps a lot. but in my case, it was not the impeller. instead, it was the middle shaft that was broke. it was made of plastic. I would just order a replacement made with steel. but it would take too much time. so I just cut a plastic rod with a same size to a same length and replaced it. now it works well. untill it breaks again. I might as well order the steel rod in the mean time.

Plumbers rape isnt tape. That's why its not sticky. Its intended to wrap threads on water connections to prevent leaks

Heat shrink tubing might work better than electrical tape at the end, it won't unwrap if the edge gets caught.

The part you cleaned and taped is called a magnetic impeller...these pumps are built same principle as aquarium pumps ie a bio-wheel system...Intex has no info on this but you will find it on aquarium pages...thank for your video, you were spot on 👍👍👍
