    im glad someone decided to say it out loud, bc this mirrors my thoughts exactly. 17 dollars for 3 songs is painfully bad for the exact reasons you mentioned, yet on steam people are like "omg can't wait for the song dlc 😍". after actually playing the character dlc, i was rly disappointed with the lack of content for what was 20 bucks. it's pretty much just a model swap with an additional 10 lines of minimal effort dialogue fluff that doesn't even fit the characters. dia forces her way into yohane's home and mirror bc she wants to diet? ruby gets super excited about how fun the mirror looks when she's more of a shy type than genki??? (also yes i used the method you described to get dlc early). bro... clearly the dlc prices are like that bc ppl are married to love live and will squeal when seeing their favorite girl on screen. and that's ok! im happy for you if you like the dlc. i just find it so disappointing that it could've been a love live game with so much more content.

      this was my first deckbuilder game, but i thought it was fun and easy to get into it. you only make choices based on what's right in front of you, plus there's Easy and Very Easy modes if you want the stakes to matter less. in terms of the story/characters, it was focused on yohane going on her own little adventure and was pretty short/simple. if you aren't a hardcore love live fan and you don't enjoy turn based, then you won't miss out on much imo.

    Something to add to her panic attack is the fact that she stopped playing during the intro (she played the first two chords but stopped and pretended to play) so because of that, it probably added more stress to her for forgetting the chords for the intro until the moment she froze, which fully made her breakdown. That could also be another reason for her mess up, because there are so much things in her mind, she can't focus on actually remembering the song.

    I was actually interviewed by NHK about this incident, back in February 2021. I was surprised that they decided to ask me about such a controversial topic, because before the interview they sent me a bunch of sample questions and those were like "normal" questions like "what does Love Live mean to you?", "did you attend any Love Live events?", etc. They did ask those sample questions, but they also asked around 5 questions which were not on the list, questions about this incident included. Anyways, the original interview took 50 minutes, but in the end they just aired 30 seconds of my interview which was entirely me talking about this incident. I talked about the incident for like 5 minutes probably, but they had to cut it down to 30 seconds unfortunately. Rikako was actually one of the guests present in the studio when my interview was aired, so I'm glad she was able to receive my support. Unfortunately I don't know if she saw the full video of me talking about the incident, or just the 30 seconds that were aired, since it wasn't a live show, I would really like to ask her that one day. If someone wants to know what show I'm talking about, it's "Songs of Tokyo, Episode 20". You can find it on billibilli if you Google "love live songs of tokyo". My part starts at around 12:55, but I would recommend to watch the whole program. Anyways, my part is cringe because I'm ugly and hate my voice and they cut out a lot of my answer, so it sounds even more stupid, but I want people to know about it, because I can tell by Rikako's reaction that our support means a lot to her and that due to that she managed to completely move on from this incident. It still breaks my heart every time I see it, but I'm glad it happened, because it showed how special Aqours is.

      Oh wow, I actually remember watching that when it was aired. I don't remember if I skipped that portion or toughed it out, but I do remember that segment. I can only imagine how you felt when you saw it happen, as well as witnessing Rikako herself watch it fully. On another note, how did you send in the interview? Was that a private affair, because as far as I know, no such thing was ever announced.

      @@ErisDeepSeaCocoon A representative of NHK made a post on the Love Live subreddit that they're doing an interview with international fans. He put up a link where you had to answer some basic questions like "What does Love Live mean to you?" and others (I don't remember anymore, sorry.). But I basically wrote a whole essay about how I discovered Love Live back in 2015, how it inspired me to pursue a degree in Japanology and become a translator for Japanese (I'm already a licensed translator for English, German and Croatian), how I went to Japan for Aqours 5th live and Love Live fest, etc. I think that answer made them invite me to the interview. But yeah, unfortunately it's just a 25 minute show and they performed 4 songs (if I remember correctly), plus seiyuu interviews, so our interviews got cut down to only a few seconds. They allowed me to send a message to Aqours and Liella, I remember telling Aqours how much they mean to me and I told Liella and Liyuu (because they asked who my favorite Liella member was and I told them Keke) something along the lines "I hope you will be able to chase your dreams the same way your senpais do/did". Anyways, unfortunately I have no idea if they ever showed that part to them and I will never know unless I somehow get to talk to the seiyuu, and even then, it's likely they don't remember me, since they do a lot of TV shows and get a lot of fan feedback. Unfortunately, soon after that interview my life became a living hell, as I became chronically ill and I was unable to work and continue university for the past 3 years. I can't write what caused my condition, because my comment will automatically get removed by TH-cam if I spell it out, but you can probably guess. Let's just say it was a certain medical product that shall not be named. Anyways, due to that I'm even less likely to meet and talk to the seiyuu, since I can't go to Japan for their fanmeetings, where you usually get a chance to talk to them for a few seconds. But yeah, currently I'm a bit better and I'm slowly trying to go back to work and start university in October, but my conditions flares up at times, so I don't know if it will be possible. I just hope that one day I'll be able to finish my Japanese degree and become a translator and finally move to Japan in order to be closer to Love Live in general. But it's been hard watching all my friends and the seiyuu move on in life, while I'm stuck in this fucking body for the past 3 years. Anyways, sorry for the off topic rant, but that interview is like the final positive thing in my life I remember before becoming disabled. I was extremely lucky to be picked for that interview, but it seems like life immediately had to punish me for that :(

Nerves can destroy anyone, even the most talented and skilled artist can be beaten down by anxiety during a show. She was very strong, having the will to continue after an event like that and then heading back to stage to continue like nothing happened is amazing and she deserves all the respect and admiration she received and currently receives.

    the thing about liella is it feels like they look at aqours statistic and think "hmm lets make a group that specifically panders to that audience" with tan keke (trying to panders to the chinese market one of the biggest if not the biggest LL market) and payton (trying to panders to english speaking audience) i could be wrong and maybe they want more accessibility for international fans but god it feels soo pandering

    • @kilrathblade7618
      @kilrathblade7618 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      actually, they were using liella to try to recapture the portion of muse fans who went dormant after muse their vibes is the most similar with muse while being very different from aqours's because they aren't trying to catch the same crowd as aqours. aqours is still doing that job fine, so they're not that stupid to invest so much to create a group to go try (and very likely fail) to compete with their much more established seniors and create internal competition over the customers. that's redundant. better to spend all those resources to aim for new market base that has not been covered yet or where the coverage had diminished (like the market base that muse used to cover) for the international fans part, it is only the chinese market that they are targeting with liella through liyuu, born and raised in china and already famous among animanga fans in china before they created keke for her (liyuu was already lantis before liella was created and she was over the maximum age limit of what was stated in their public audition condition). and it is working very well the english speaking audience is already handled by niji through shushu and even then, they don't really push it all that much. shushu speaking english is only because she's more comfortable with that language and they just letting her speak her mother-tongue. in contrast, payko doesn't speak a lick of english, at least in public (liyuu is the one responsible for all of liella's english whenever they need someone to read/say something in english). she was chosen purely for her top class abilities as a seiyuu, singer, dancer and live-performer (she's undisputedly liella's ace together with nagi who might not even be human but an alien due to her insanely high tier abilities). to say that payko got hired only so that they can use her surname and heritage to try to pander to english speaking audience is frankly insulting towards her and the english speaking audience. As if we need someone who speaks english to make us support them. most of us aren't that shallow and management knows this. if they had intended to use payko to pander to english speaking audience, her character would've had some percentage of mix-blood from a nationality/culture where english is their native language. instead it is kanon being the mixed (quarter spanish, a character setting that had never been utilised) while sumire is pure japanese and a shrine maiden of her family's shrine. really can't get more japanese than that (edit: oh, and i just remembered how payko had literally been bullied by her peers when she was a child idol because of her being a half. as greedy as the LL management is, they aren't going to cross the line to purposely use a child's source of trauma for something as cheap as pandering because the risk and consequences of it backfiring is just not worth it)

    I recently watch the 3rd live at Belluna dome I would say only 65% - 70% of the seats are filled which is not really that bad considering they are the newest group even Aqours a veteran group couldn't fill it 100% during their 6th live sunny stage. But I do agree with you this overpromoting and oversaturation method is getting out of hand and is seriously damaging the girls health I hope the staff wakes up before one of the girls becomes injured. But I do believe that Liella will fill that stage at full capacity someday just like when Honoka fulfilled her goal on filling that stage at school. One day it will happen and I wish to be there to see it.

      not even 60% was filled the management tried to cover it up using the "we applied for the pandemic special clause of 50% capacity for full calls clause" excuse which they only announced less than a month before the day of the concert after the balloting has all ended the management wouldn't have willingly chose that clause from the start if they knew liella can fill the seats to more than 50% capacity that cover would have worked if the japanese government didn't suddenly decide to lift all pandemic restrictions 3 weeks before the concert (although that decision was basically like fate willing to at least give tomoriru a proper send off after they dealt her such a cruel hand with giving her hEDS as the restrictions was lifted a week before AZUNA live and AZUNA live was the 1st LL concert since pandemic started to have full calls) as for aqours not filling it, keep in mind that it was still very much in pandemic period where there are still many people being cautious and opting for live-viewing from the safety of their own homes (the weather in belluna dome at that time of the year is hell too, so not everyone going to be so willing to subject themselves to that horrid weather while at the same time endangering themselves with the risk of catching covid) while liella 3rd happened a whole year after that when pandemic has essentially gone quiet enough for the government to lift all restrictions. also keep in mind that aqours did manage to fill tokyo dome in windy stage in june, so it was not popularity problem but a pandemic problem for sunny stage

    That video subject kinda broke my heart… I’ve been enjoying a lot LL lately, especially Liella but I never thought much about how often the Liella seiyuus would be solicited, so being aware of all that kinda made me gloomy… Recently when I played some SIF2 i noticed how many new songs they put up in only like… 2 years and a half… and I thought… isn’t that too much too fast … ? I felt like I unconsciously worried about how much they were working them a lot… I wonder if the seiyuus themselves are aware of it, but then, I think when you get work opportunities and jobs of doing relatively fun things nonetheless, you don’t think too much about it in the moment and you feel grateful about it, maybe it’s still fine ? Like despite all the demands, they still manage to enjoy their daily lives and work ? I don’t know… At the same time I want to tell myself, it’ll be fine I can trust them to take care of themselves but when I think negatively about all that, as a fan, it makes me powerless, and it sucks…

    Love LIve now feels like a corporate machine designed to make money, aka idolm@ster 2.0. There used to be so much passion from the series and like you said, every new song, episode, live, was like a treat for the fans for the characters we love. Now they're trying to get as many girls as possible to shit out more content for the fans to gobble up. Even Aqours is getting watered down; I get that the seiyuus all still enjoy doing it, but it's been 8 years and they're still trying to push Aqours as a shiny new group with the new anime and shit(not to mention the anime was only made for fanservice and has no appeal outside of fanboys like me knowing the girls, yet another cashgrab). It's also not just the incidents you mentioned. You can very clearly tell that Kinchan sounds different compared to when she first started, like more nasally. And one of the reasons µ's didn't renew their contract was because Emitsun ruined her voice so much from playing Honoka that she needed to get surgery about a year before the final live; you can still hear how much damage she did years later in song for you you you. I truly pity Sayurin and whomever the corporate fucks try to run into the ground again. This franchise will never be the same as long as it keeps treating the fans and girls like pigs. It's so fucking sad

      they're not "pushing" aqours as if they were a new group, if that was the case then the amount of content out of them would be a lot more, maybe even on par with liella and hasu. their seiyuu have plenty of time for their solo careers and other projects, so your idea of "pushing" doesnt even make sense. trying new things and giving a fresh spin on an old IP =! trying to make them seem new kinchan sounds fine, you need to get your ears checked. you're just talking out of your ass
