I have a SPH-EVO950DAB & a iPhone 13 (Wifi) which I paired ok initial, changed the screen etc. So I can use CarPlay but when the car is powered down & up again, most of the time & have to turn my phone off/on to pair back up. Now trying to transfer the new firmware (or anything else), I get a message on the app that it can’t find wifi, I have tried resetting everything, I can’t see what I’m missing & I can’t see much info on the net about Issues

Don’t buy this expensive Pioneer SatNav! I have the hugely expensive AVIC-z1000 DAB-C. I bought it to ensure my SatNav would route me appropriately for my 7ton 3.5m high 9m long truck. Believe me I’ve read the manual, watched the videos, attempted to connect their support (that was painful…). It tried to take me under a 400 year old 3metre bridge (they suggested it might need updating maybe the original SatNav programming was 401 years old?), up a single track ski slope (in summer but for bold e-bikes small cars and bikes only) and down country lanes. Today it routed me along a farm track through which I couldn’t reverse as this eye-wateringly expensive SATNav failed to protect my truck from trees, branches, and narrow bridges. Also tried to ping me down a track saying “No HGV vehicles”. 😳 I have throughly checked and re-checked the settings I don’t want my truck destroyed! I’m currently checking my legal position since this SatNav is not fit for purpose, it’s hopeless at doing the job it advertises as being worth the best part of a £1,000 premium over alternatives.

Scam video, they dont mention you have to pay for updates in any of their guides, and they cost in excess of 80euro some even more expensive....for a fkin update! Every....single....guide online, skips the part where you have to pay money. DISGUSTING, and SHAMEFUL.

Not so easy on an AVIC Z1000DAB To turn antenna power off or on it sideward you have to completely reset the radio !

Hello, Have you tried to make a call using the bluetooth? How does it work? I got a used car with this autoradio, the phone (iPhone 8) connects to the bluetooth, but the people that I call do not hear me. Does this radio have an integrated microphone? Please help, thanks

I don't recommend this device. Or anything from Pioneer. When I wrote them about issues with this device (some potentially dangerous, but solution would be possible with a simple firmware update), they just replied that it's all in specifications - even though I'm not alone who complained about some of these issues. Issues I found: Multimedia player cannot skip folders Bluetooth audio has poor quality of SBC codec is used. Ok with AAC. It doesn't show whether phone is connected anywhere except for "phone" menu. Sluggish navigation in the contact list, no rapid contacts Poor microphone reception, no way to set gain. With power off, Bluetooth is disabled too. If it's connected to turn on with ignition, it turns on everytime, even if it's powered off with power button. Button backlight is very bright and without dimming option. Weblink app asks for connection every single time and that cannot be turned off (if you want to use the USB only for charging, for example). Weblink itself is very buggy and doesn't support Spotify and Waze, as advertised. Wel, Waze is sorta supported - it just mirrors phone's screen when Waze app is running. But mirroring of other apps is disabled when e-brake is not activated.

My reception is terrible. I live in Manchester UK and cannot get the stations I want on this stereo. My handheld device gets them in the car but not the car stereo itself. Picks up the ones I don't want no probs. Talksport 2.. yes. Talksport....no. Absolute 90's yes. Absolute 80's...no. Jazz FM...no. Classic FM yes... So infuriating. Does anyone at Pioneer read these comments and able to offer any help?? Thanks

I would really like to use it just as simple GPS screen with Google Maps, but it's impossible on Android. Pioneer's apps sucks big one, last firmware is from 2018 and even with this, connection over Android smartphones is digraceful, practically non-existent. Calls and Music over Bluetooth works, but that's it. Shame.

In the source selection menu, select "SOURCE OFF", instead of "Digital Radio" or anything else, then you can toggle the antenna power setting. Not obvious, but mentioned in the user manual...
