Keep phych and rest community care. Can keep pcp County level. It's the hospitals that cost and lack of care or appt availability. Took me 3 months for ultrasound at va hospital but my private pcp thankfully I had my wife's insurance got me an ultrasound same day at local hospital.

There’s a new challenge the VA is going to face. There was a clip where the so call “claim sharks” were complaining to there government rep. Of the unfairness of past claims receive benefits and the present same claims get denied. “What’s good for one is good for all” greed is going to doom a lot of vets I hope not

Quite honestly, I have had ZERO problems with any facet of the VHA. Always had prompt and reasonable service. Great treatment. Responsive people. On the other hand, the VBA is complete TRASH. Never get a straight answer. Endless waiting for just about everything. When a VBA agent tells you to call you Congressional rep to get simple paperwork processed then there is a MAJOR problem!

Luckily I have Medicaid. I like the civilian sector doctors. I pray my claim is found to be p&t then I'll add Medicare

Our experience with the C&P exam for NHL was terrible. The doctor didn’t examine hubby, look at the records he brought, etc. where is the duty to assist?

As a community care service, including local urgent care clinics makes it easier to see a doctor that very day, or a personal provider will be anywhere between 2 days to weeks or more depending on staffing. I have noticed since Covid that all my personal providers have been back logged due to loss of staffing.

I live in the middle of the DFW AREA. I am 1/2 an hour from each local VA center It takes me 5 to 6 months to get an appointment with my VA provider. At my regular clinic. For women's health, there is only 1 gynecologist at the VA hospital and he oversees 45,000 women's care. We discuss his situation whenever I get to see him which has only been twice in the last 5 years! We need more medical staff in the VA centers and I do like the idea of being able to see a provider closer to me because I don't get compensated for traveling a 1 hour round trip for regular or urgent medical visits.

telehealth sucks imo, and community care is needed for rural folks. we have a local clinic but I live 200 miles from the nearest VA Hospital.

Even if you hand everything to them perfectly on a silver platter the people at the VA will still screw you UNLESS you get the one person that isn't a dummy or a crook! The VA has ALOT of bad apples screwing over veterans that are not even recognizing or acknowledging private evidence now days.

My VA doctor is great it's the rest I have issues with can't get appointments. They sent me to community care and didn't have a problem. Should only be used when the VA can't get to you. We still need both not one or the other.

The Lake Nona Hospital & Lake Baldwin Clinic here in Orlando Florida are great! My Doctor, Doctor One on the Orange Team is fantastic! I'm very satisfied!

Please stop supporting this channel. At least since the Vietnam era more soldiers/veterans have died shortly after service than were lost in combat. We suffer abuses from multiple directions. This POS is just another well camouflaged covert abuser who is profiting from scamming veterans. While some veterans benefit from this person of poor character none benefit greater than he. He is little different than multiple other scoundrels who prey on vulnerable veteran population. Examples are the 3M company who made millions by providing veterans with faulty equipment and the legal firms who stole over 48% of veteran compensation related to our hearing loss. The ultimate result for veterans who no longer provide meal tickets for these predators are euthanized by negligent healthcare at VA medical facilities. Negligent medical care is blatant and well known but congress protects these low life scoundrels because they produce more tax revenues than our nontaxed disability compensation. Please stop perpetuating this POS and the multiple other scoundrels preying upon us.

It can take 6 months to get civilian care from my civilian doctor too, VA isn’t different.

I've had way more positive experiences with VHA healthcare than I have with community care. I do not want just community care. Veterans should have a choice.

My thoughts are that as a veteran we should be given the choice on going to the VA or going through community care. There are some medical conditions that I don’t care which I use and there others (mental health) that I don’t feel comfortable because of past experiences going to the VA for.

Civilian health care WONT TOUCH Combat related PTSD. I went to a civilian mental health "clinic" ...what a nightmare, the Psychologist had no clue. My VA psychiatrist has absolutely saved my life. Hybrid fine, but trying to pass us all off to the Civilian sector would be very concerning.

I live in south Texas,when I try for an appointment with Audie Murphy VA Hospital,and they tell me it will be over 30 days for the appointment,I immediately ask for community care.I am usually seen with one week and by qualified physicians.Audie Murphy is a great hospital,they just have too many patients for the current staff.

One of the things you discussed was “correlation of problems”. Why do we have to make a separate case and statements for each individual condition when your issue or issues are possibly/probably related. Like what you said with sinuses and sleep apnea?

I think if you live more than 1hr away CC is the way to go my closet VA is a 2 1/2 hr drive for a normal person it takes me 3 1/2 hrs to 4 1/2 hrs to get there and the same to get back but that's because of the pain I have to pull over about every 20 min to get out and stretch for 10 min

I get better care from community care than I get from the VA. My community care doctors have more concern for my health than my VA pcp

As a DAV and a health care professional..... a big piece of the puzzle is Americans in general don't take care of themselves. Obesity ect...... prevail.. then when people get sick they go to the hospital and say " cure me ".

I'm not as generous as you are Clay, when giving credit to VA raters for the increasing Service Connection approvals. In my opinion the increasing number of approvals are more likely due to better written claims due to your help.

They need to improve VA Health Care for women. It is not the greatest. But it is not the worst I have seen for women.

I asked my private civ. doctor MD of Internal Med, (who has seen me for 9years), if he would write a dbq for a diagnosed condition by him, and his referred specialist in his network, and he still said no. I even had a copy for him for one I got from a private Nurse that I paid that he could have to help use verbiage as she was a VA rater at one time too. WHY? Because he works for a network now, and would need to talk to his "legal team" so he would not get fired. He had his own practice, and could not make it so now he gets paid a salary. I live in Orlando, Fl. I was hoping to have the DBQ from both. I just uploaded evidence/nexus from all involved. Date of intent goes back to Feb24 on a SC condition that was denied, and now as a supplement to a rated SC cond.

Try to utilize your local VA healthcare system of care first! Do NOT privatize my/our VA Healthcare System! My family & I have access to VA, Tricare, & Medicare the VA Healthcare System is by far the best! If you’re unhappy with your care or providers there are multiple routes to take to get the care you deserve. Veterans Service Organizations like Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA), Disabled American Veterans (DAV), VFW etc Service Officers can advocate on your behalf to get the care you need & deserve. If the VA doesn’t offer the specialty care at their facility they can send you to a facility or provider of your choice, but you should always choose VA first. Once a service’s funding is cut it’s never coming back. The easiest way for Congress to cut something is to show lack of use!

I have a crazy example of a veteran (myself) getting screwed reference a service connected issue. I had waited for months to get in to see a specialist at Bathemisa and when I showed up for my appointment after waiting 20-30 mins I was told I was being bumped by a Congressman and his family member. After doing g some research I found out he never served. So I guess these folks think we deserve nothing.

I had two broken toes on my right foot, because a drunk guy putting all his weight on those two toes. I went to Fort Harrison V.A. Hospital E.R. I was told if I had broken toes I would NOT be able to walk. Fighting for 4 years for care on my broken toes the V.A. did send me to a Community Care. It was Not until one toes was so infected that I had to have it removed and half of the big toe. I have 100 more stories about my care and the V.A..
