So what’s the difference between a ct12 pro and a ct 12 bu?
The CT12BU has more functions than the CT12 Pro. CT12BU has zero tail-swing, two-speed travel function and variable chassis width.
How do you tension the tracks on this one? Is it with a grease gun or just a nut and bolt type?

I have a similar machine and the same problem. I see other machines where the hydraulic thumb retracts almost parallel with the arm. I believe that it is a design fault and am looking at fitting a shorter hydraulic cylinder on the thumb.

Yes, it does get in the way. The hydraulic thumb is better positioned on the new CT12 models.
