DIAMOND in the ROUGH in LAS VEGAS | Mountain Biking Landmine Loop in Blue Diamond, Nevada
I arrived in Vegas with one day to ride and to my surprise it snowed up in the higher elevations the night before which left me with limited options for riding. I went into Blue Diamond with low expectations since FOOK YU was unrideable due to snow/mud. Wow, were my expectations blown away by how good the Blue Diamond trails are. Las Vegas has so much to offer when it comes to MTB and I can't wait to go back again.
Be sure to check this one out if you're ever in Vegas and want to ride close to the strip. TREK has a rental shop right there at the trail head equipped with E-bikes as well. I'll leave a link to my ride here if you're interested.
Thanks for watching!

    For the drop in gotta go in smooth and w momentum and stick to the wall before the rock roll at the end. It is not so daunting, if you session it in pieces, and then put it all together. Took mins about 20 mins to put it together, and luckily there was little traffic on the trail. The price for failure is severe. I was younger and didn't fear broken bones 15 years ago when I rode Fruita. Lol. Nice vid of one of my favorite trail systems on the planet.

    • @trailstokemtb
      @trailstokemtb 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@trailstokemtb I haven't ventured too far from the parking lot honestly at FT. Is there just one trail to get to that look out? It was too hot and exposed when I got there. I should have gone earlier in the AM. We did stop by the ranch for lunch. I want to go off-road on Onion Creek one of these days. We rent UTV's and head out to Chicken Corners and Hell's Revenge. I love it, but its a gen 1 Hightower. 3 years old now but still love it every time I ride.

      @@trailstokemtb Actually gen 1 Hightower is much more playful and fun factor than the new lower link Hightower.

      @@travelthenarrowtrail8660 yeah, it's all marketing in my opinion anyway. I'll upgrade when the time comes but for now I'm 100% happy with what I have. I checked out your video of White Mesa- good work, man!

    Good video man, you inspired me to go out and try this area. On my channel I've been hit up by several people to go try riding Placitas. I have only done a white ridge system, which is about 45 minutes from ALB. I live in Denver so hope to do more NM riding. I wonder if this place is under snow right now, it looks pretty dry but I see you rode this in maybe in August? Check out my channel if you want, love your content, ride on...

      Yeah man for sure! I rode there November 2018. I think ABQ is pretty mild most of the time so I'm sure it's hit or miss as far as snow goes. White Ridge was a blast!

      This is my local trail system, I rode there on Sunday. It wasn’t too bad except for the occasional unmelted snow and mud puddles. If there’s a good rain or snowfall this trails usually good in about 4 days to a week.

    I love the Placitas! I used to do that exact trail from top to bottom 5 days a week before work! I did that for 3 years. If you ever go back that way, then you need to do the north east corner of that trail system called Chalk Dust. This brought back good memories! Thanks for sharing.

      Gnar Lee yeah it was a blast for sure! I wish I would have had more time to spend out there. ABQ has a lot of good stuff! I gotta make it out there again.

      @@trailstokemtb I'm recovering from a shoulder injury now. I'll be back at it soon though. Also, it's really great to see someone riding and reviewing local (for me) trails.
