With fillers in Fairy tail they have a lot of hints in them. With the "filler acrs" they are still anime cannon. And are referenced later on in the show and help explain certain actions. So I would recommend watching them

Fairy tail has 2 filler arcs which are technically canon since they get mentioned in the manga. The rest are little fun adventures. Personally I enjoy them because unlike in other anime like naruto for example they are not weirdly put in the middle of an arc and more in between the arcs which feels more like a nice break and way more realistic

As someone who loves Fairy Tail, I hope you react to every episode filler or not. There may be several filler episodes but each one has a tid bit of info that is important in the grander scale. Don't skip filler episodes in my opinion, you'll regret it in the long run.

I'm so happy you enjoyed the filler , but like you say this episode has some canon stuff like the introduction of Levy (Jet and Droy too) , there is even some foreshadowing about one character but i can't say , and like you say it's seems like a continuation of last episode because they literally start with the punishment thing and this chaos they create with the body swap is definitely something that could happend in the canon stuff😂😅 . Some days ago i write a very long comment for the filler in the reaction of episode 11-12 but for some was delete so i will not write all that stuff but i will summerize the filler list : Fairy Tail has some filler mix canon episode like next episode for example but 99% of the times are like 4-5 minutes of filler and all canon stuff like the only episode i remember that i think was filler except for the last 3 minute which are VERY IMPORTANT was episode 201 . The real filler like this episode are mostly funny but they even include some cute detail or very interesting piece of story / characters ; The filler list is = episode 9, 19 , 50, 70-75, 125-150 , 202-226 and 268 . Episode 50 is another funny episode , episodes 70-72 is the worst arc of fairy tail , it has a cute moment and some little piece of important story but nothing crazy so you can skip . Episode 73-74-75 are all one-story episodes and have cute/funny moments but zero story or detail (but i enjoyed watching them). Episode 125 , 126 (which is considered the worst episode of ALL fairy Tail and i agree) episode 127 are all one-story episodes with some funny stuff (BUT NO 126) , From episode 128-150 start a filler arc which is VERY GOOD , and i hoped you will watch it even if you don't want to upload on youtube because the arc seems canon with the story and the connection between this and next canon arc , the story is very good even if it start slow and is dragged a bit , but the last 5-6 episodes are veryyyy peak and important even for the development of some character of the Main Cast , and the mangaka decide do make this arc canon in the future with some important plot point , i really hoped you will watch. Episodes 202 is a very funny filler Episode 203 cute story of one side character Episode 204 is very important for the development of one character and would make one moment in the next canon arc more impactul (at least for me). Episode 205-218 worst long arc , but has one important moment unfortunately... you can watch like the last 2-3 episode or skipped it , don't worry . Episode 219-221-222-225-226 funny filler Episode 220 one of my favourite filler episode , i'm 100% sure you will enjoy it . Episode 223-224 very cute little arc Episode 268 cute filler if i'm being honest i thought was canon for how it go so well with the arc . In the end the episodes filler that i hope you don't skip because are important are , episode 128-150 , 203-204 , 220 . Sorry for the long comment hope i helped

As for the punishment, it only happens in the Manga, but it's nothing major. The next chapter is total filler, but after this one (20) I can't guarantee it, it's considered cannon in the anime, but I haven't seen it in the Manga yet, so I don't know...
